The automatic detection of noisy channels in surface Electromyogram(sEMG)signals,at the time of recording,is very critical in making a noise-free EMG *** an EMG signal contaminated by high-level noise is recorded,then it will be useless and can’t be used for any healthcare *** this research work,a new machine learning-based paradigm is proposed to automate the detection of low-level and high-level noises occurring in different channels of high density and multi-channel sEMG signals.A modiﬁed version of mel fre-quency cepstral coefﬁcients(mMFCC)is proposed for the extraction of features from sEMG channels along with other statistical parameters i-e complexity coef-ﬁcient,hurst exponent,and root mean *** state-of-the-art classiﬁers such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),Ensemble Bagged Trees,Ensemble Sub-space Discriminant,and Logistic Regression are used to automatically identify an EMG channel either bad or good based on these extracted ***-based analyses of these classiﬁers have also been considered based on total classi-ﬁcation accuracy,prediction speed(observations/sec),and processing *** proposed method is tested on 320 simulated EMG channels as well as 640 experi-mental EMG *** is used as our main classiﬁer for the detection of noisy channels which gives a total classiﬁcation accuracy of 99.4%for simulated EMG channels whereas accuracy of 98.9%is achieved for experimental EMG channels.

Social media is a crucial aspect of modern society, shaping global communication and information exchange. Social media slang encompasses informal language expressions, abbreviations, and unconventional words on these platforms, serving purposes such as concise communication and identity establishment. Data analytics from social media slang plays a vital role in providing real-time trends, enhancing sentiment analysis, and improving the accuracy of predictive models by capturing evolving linguistic trends. This study aims to address gaps in existing social media slang analytics by proposing a three-step process for extracting and validating domain-specific social media slang terms, specifically focusing on the domain of anxiety prediction in the context of mental health. The proposed approach involves the identification of relevant users, extraction of social media slang terms, and validation by subject matter experts. A pilot study is conducted in the domain of anxiety prediction, employing a self-prepared questionnaire and involving participants aged 13-14 from schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The pilot study identifies ten social media slang terms associated with anxiety, validated by subject matter experts who are licensed mental health practitioners. The slang terms exhibit varying prevalence levels among adolescents, with some terms absent from popular slang dictionaries like Urban Dictionary. The findings highlight the need for extracting slang terms from pertinent users and subject matter expert validation in incorporating social media slang into more appropriate predictive analytics. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new method for traffic anomaly identification within the Faster R-CNN framework by combining the DenseNet module with the region proposals (RPs) processing block. The suggested approach seeks to improve feature extraction and RP creation in aerial imagery or CCTV frames to get beyond the drawbacks of the current methods. Discriminative features are extracted through DenseNet, and the RPs block makes it easier to provide a wide range of accurate and varied area proposals. Contrast correction techniques are applied to overcome the difficulties presented by low-resolution and low-contrast images frequently seen in surveillance scenarios. Comparing experimental results to state-of-the-art techniques, one can observe notable resilience and detection accuracy increases. The suggested method works exceptionally well in various traffic scenarios and environmental circumstances, indicating its potential for practical implementation in traffic surveillance systems. Overall, the study contributes to advancing the efficacy and reliability of anomaly detection in urban traffic environments. © 2024 SPIE.

This paper focuses on how to use continuous integration (CI) and continuous Delivery (CD) methodology in DevOps to reduce the developer-operator gap. It also, shows how CI can be a CD bridge. The paper review DevOps and analyze strategies, methodologies, issues, and processes identified for the adoption and implementation of continuing practices. The result of our case studies shows the benefits, and advantages of using CI/CD in software development. Furthermore, this paper presents DevOps as a new model for reducing the gaps between development (Dev) and operations (ops). The Azure tool is used as DevOps CI/CD for the empowerment of continuous delivery of software to enable rapid and frequent releases, this enables rapid responses to changing customer requirements and thus it may be a decisive competitive advantage. This paper also measures the effectiveness of using CI/CD for reducing the time and effort in software development. We also, focus on the DevOps initiative to benefit of CI/CD and to effect of enhances flexibility in delivering the program with the expected quality on time to determine the areas that bridge the gap between Continuous Integration for Continuous Delivery. The methodology used in this paper by exploring and tracking a project developed by the company using the Azure software development tool. Presently, the global proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and applications has accelerated owing to their advantages in enhancing the business and industrial environment, as well as the daily lives of individuals. Nevertheless, IoT devices are vulnerable to malevolent network traffic, which can lead to undesirable outcomes and disrupt the operation of IoT devices. Consequently, it is imperative to devise a screening method for network traffic to identify and categorize malicious activity and reduce its harmful effects. In this regard, the present study proposes a framework and thoroughly compares single and ensemble machine learning models that are using predictive analytics to detect and classify network activity in an IoT network. Specifically, our framework and models distinguish between normal and anomalous network activity. Furthermore, network traffic is classified into eight categories, normal, denial of service (DoS) attack, Scan attack, Data Type Probing, Malicious Operation, Malicious Control, Spying attack and Wrong Setup based attack. The special focus of this paper is in identifying privacy related attacks in comparison with main cybersecurity related ones. Several supervised machine learning models have been herein implemented to characterize their performance in detecting and classifying network activities for IoT Networks based on the ensemble learning framework as well as on the single learning machines framework. Moreover, classifiers based on the statistical learning theory framework are herein involved too, including hybrid Bayesian theory models, decision trees (DT) and the ordinal Learning Modelling approach. The statistical pattern recognition based models as well as all supervised learning machines models have been evaluated on a broad benchmark dataset for IoT attacks. In the realm of forensic science, precise identification of individuals holds paramount importance in both investigative procedures and legal proceedings. Hands and palms recognition has emerged as a valuable biometric modality within forensic applications, owing to the distinct and intricate features inherent to these anatomical regions. The elaborate patterns of veins, creases, and ridges present on palms and fingers serve as rich sources of biometric data, crucial for accurate identification purposes. Furthermore, given the frequent involvement of hands and palms in criminal activities such as theft and assault, their recognition becomes imperative for establishing links between suspects and crime scenes. However, developing robust recognition systems tailored for forensic applications poses notable challenges, including variations in hand poses, lighting conditions, and image quality. To address these hurdles, sophisticated deep learning techniques, notably transfer learning, have been employed. By harnessing pre-trained deep learning models namely NasNetLarge, NasNetMobile, and EfficientNet, initially trained on expansive datasets for general image recognition tasks, we can adapt these models to the specific task of hands and palms recognition in forensic contexts. Our findings reveal that all three models consistently achieved over 92% accuracy across all metrics evaluated, demonstrating their efficacy as strong contenders for the hands-and-palms recognition task. Notably, the EfficientNet model exhibited superior performance compared to its counterparts, boasting more than 95.8% accuracy, precision, F1-score and recall, along with more than 98.6% specificity and 99.4% AUC. © 2024 IOS Press. In various applications in Internet of Things like industrial monitoring, large amounts of floating-point time series data are generated at an unprecedented rate. Efficient compression algorithms can effectively reduce the size of data, enhance transmission performance and storage efficiency, and simultaneously lower storage costs. Therefore, there is a need for lightweight and efficient stream compression algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel lossless floating-point data compression algorithm called Ant. The main idea is to encode double-precision floating-point numbers into integer form, calculate the delta between adjacent values, and then convert the delta into unsigned integers. This encoding method effectively reduces storage costs and improves data compression efficiency. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that our algorithm achieves compression speeds at least as fast as state-of-the-art streaming methods, and a 63% relative improvement in average compression rate. © 2023 IEEE.

A machine learning-based e-commerce personalised recommendation system helps address the issue of information overload that inevitably arises when consumers have more and more options in e-commerce, leading to an increasingly complex structure. Customer segmentation is a crucial component of contemporary marketing strategy since it enables companies to effectively adjust their advertising campaigns and customise their communications with customers. Through the analysis of enormous quantities of consumer behaviour data and the discovery of trends that can be utilised for dividing customers into segments, ML algorithms provide a potent tool for automating the procedure of customer segmentation. We report our research and results for identifying a customer's segment. In order to perform machine learning, we integrate the Python Tensorflow library with Pandas for manipulating data frames. To address any discrepancies or gaps in the collected client data, it is refined. Key features are found, and to find hidden patterns and relationships, an exploratory analysis of the data is done. After that, we decide on a suitable machine learning technique to divide the clientele into various groups. We also experiment with several clustering models, including conventional machine learning techniques. © 2024 IEEE.
