The Metaverse is defined as a collectively shared, persistent, and contextualized virtual space that will drive next-generation digital interaction facilitated by enhanced extended reality (XR) and edge computing. One of the major challenges within this development area is the proper anticipation and fulfillment of user context needs, preferences, and intentions in real-time. This paper proposes the concept of Predictive User Experience through AI for a turn to solve this challenge. With enabled predictive analytics, machine learning, and real-time data processing, the proposed AI-based predictive UX model dynamically adjusts metaverse interface features, content delivery, and modes of interaction to enhance immersion, all while maximizing user satisfaction. In this paper, we discuss AI's potential for explanatory mechanics in predictive UX and how it shapes the future of metaverse interactions. We propose a conceptual framework that describes how data collection, data processing, and adaptive interface design can be integrated within a feedback-driven architecture that seamlessly predicts and adjusts to user requirements. In this paper, we present a research methodology that integrates qualitative and technical approaches-from data modeling and architecture design up to scenario-based assessments-to validate our UX framework's predictiveness. Hence, we proceed with a use case that exemplifies the applicability of AI-based predictive UX systems for ensuring user presence and interaction consistency within a metaverse educational scenario. The discussion synthesizes and finally concludes the most pertinent findings relevant to user engagement and personalization regarding privacy and ethical considerations without compromising how these technologies can be safely and effectively scaled. Knee Osteoporosis (KOP) is a skeletal disease that is caused by low bone mineral density and the degradation of bone tissue. It increases the risk of bone fractures in the knee region and is commonly seen in older people but usually ignored due to its silent nature. Osteoporosis is mostly diagnosed via X-ray images and Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) scans that can be difficult to read due to their sheer volume the subtle variations. This study aims to develop a Deep Learning (DL) utilizing Swin Transform model that can accurately recognize osteoporosis in knee X-ray images at an early stage. The dataset used for this research comprises knee X-rays labeled as either “normal” or “osteoporotic,” with image preprocessing including resizing to standard dimensions, converting the images into tensors, and normalizing pixel values to improve model performance. The model is trained and validated on arranged dataset, characterized by metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall or F1-score that gives an idea how well our model performs for prediction as acknowledged for its performance in image classification tasks. The results demonstrate that the Swin Transformer model has an overall accuracy of 89.38% on the data set for identifying osteoporosis features on knee X-ray images. This approach demonstrates the potential of the Swin Transformer model to serve as an effective tool for early osteoporosis diagnosis, offering improved accuracy and reliability compared to traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs).

Unlike traditional images, light field images capture comprehensive scene information, enabling novel post-capture manipulations. However, this very richness makes them vulnerable to tampering. This paper proposes lossless copyright protection of light-field images based on a robust zero-watermarking algorithm without modifying the original image. First, the fractional-order radial harmonic Fourier moments (FrRHFMs) for light-field images were computed accurately. The FrRHFMs and chaotic Logistic and May maps (LOMAS) were combined to produce a light-field images robust zero-watermarking algorithm. Due to the excellent geometric invariance of FrRHFMs and the chaotic system's initial value sensitivity, the proposed algorithm's robustness to geometric attacks and security was improved. The experiments' results demonstrated that this algorithm outperformed other algorithms and was resilient to conventional image processing and geometry attacks.

HistoDX: Revolutionizing Breast Cancer Diagnosis Through Advanced Imaging Techniques

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of mortality among women worldwide, highlighting the need for efficient histopathology-based screening methods for early diagnosis. This study introduces HistoDX, a deep learning framework to classify Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) using 277,524 histopathology image patches (50x50 pixels) from Paul Mooney's IDC dataset on Kaggle, comprising No Cancer and IDC(+) classes. HistoDX employs a preprocessing pipeline with normalization, data augmentation, and class balancing via oversampling and weighted loss to address the class imbalance. A customized convolutional neural network, built on EfficientNetV2-B3 with additional layers, achieves 97% accuracy and a 0.91 ROC-AUC score on the test set. Validation on BreakHis (97% accuracy) and BACH (90% accuracy) datasets confirm generalizability, though detecting minority IDC(+) cases remains challenging. Low training and test losses underscore reliability. HistoDX empowers pathologists by enhancing diagnostic efficiency and minimizing subjectivity through effective class imbalance mitigation. Its robust performance across diverse datasets like BreakHis and BACH suggests readiness for clinical integration. Future research into advanced augmentation techniques, ensemble models, and whole-slide image analysis could further optimize accuracy, sensitivity, and scalability, paving the way for broader adoption in precision oncology. © 2013 IEEE.

Poor software quality can lead to crashes, failures or downtime, the consequences of which may be lost profits, financial costs, leakage or loss of data, accidents, human casualties, material losses or environmental disasters. The total cost of poor software quality for IT companies in the USA is estimated at ${\$}$2.41 trillion per year and tends to increase. Among the identified costs, the cost of unsuccessful projects is estimated at ${\$}$260 billion, and the total cost of operational failures caused by poor quality software is estimated at ${\$}$1.81 trillion. Late finding and fixing of software defects directly affects the success of the project as a whole, since it significantly increases the cost and development time, and affects its quality. This paper discussed the relationship between factors affecting the software development process and various groups of defects. It has been found that the leading groups of defects affecting the software quality are the defects in software requirements and defects in the design of software interfaces for human-computer interaction with the total percentage of influence of 33.3%.

Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) are vital for today’s businesses. However, the successful implementation of ERP systems faces several challenges, which can determine its success or failure. This paper provides a brief state-of-theart review of the success factors of ERP implementation using various applications that span different contexts. The paper discusses and compares the aims defined and the techniques applied in these studies, as well as the data used and the results obtained from each of these studies. This review paper reviews published work to tackle these challenges, covering the literature published in 2020-2023. A special effort was also made to focus on high-quality papers published in top journals with high-impact factors and indexed in Scopus and Web of science. The review process is repeatable, as special keywords were used to search the literature using publishers’ databases and three specialized tools. The paper concludes by discussing the future of the successful implementation of ERP systems. The paper argues that ERP systems will continue to have a major impact on the success of today’s businesses. Therefore, they must carefully consider various factors that influence their successful implementation.

Different UNet models do well in tasks like semantic segmentation. Yet, these models still do not use detailed features enough and have weak global feature understanding. UNet links the encoder and decoder with skip connections. This lets the decoder get detailed info from the encoder, which helps the model work better. But having skip connections for just one set of encoder and decoder is not enough to use all the multi-level detailed features. Plus, UNet builds the encoder and decoder with convolution methods. Because convolutional operations have a small view of the data, the model's ability to understand the whole set of data is still low. To solve the problems of weak feature use and poor overall modeling, we suggest a simple fix: a light Multi-Dimensional Selective Attention Enhanced UNet (LDA-UNet). To get around the small view of the UNet design, we add the Multi-Dimensional Selective Attention Block. This part boosts the model's global skill and widens the view while using fewer parameters. To fix the issue of low use of multi-level features, we use a multi-level skip connection method. This helps the decoder reach features at different sizes and improves detail capture. We tested the model on the ISIC-2018 dataset, and the results show that, when compared to other methods, this algorithm does a better job at segmentation while using fewer parameters.

Structural testing is one of the testing techniques in software testing. It is the testing process of internal structure in the given source code by comparing the expected result and real results and finding out faults. To complete the structural testing, it takes a long time and needs to improve code coverage. Thus, this paper focus on improving code coverage of structural testing by using parametric inter-procedural slicing with backward slicing technique. In program slicing, there are two types of slicing: forward and backward slicing depending on the slicing direction. In this paper, backward slicing is used and it starts at the criteria for the slice consideration. The parametric inter-procedural slicing is one of the program slicing techniques which is an algorithm that takes the slice criteria as a parameter and work to handle inter-procedural data flow by considering many possible dependence relations. By slicing the original input program before measuring code coverage, the input program is simplified and excluded unexecutable statements. Therefore, the proposed system in this paper can reduce the complexity of the source code and improve code coverage for structural testing. Moreover, the used dataset in experiment is benchmark dataset in C and it is converted to Java for the improvement of language oriented.

Using Parallel Objects and Structured Parallel Programming, the parallel representation of the Communication Pattern between Processes called Pipeline is shown, whose implementation is carried out through different models of Generic Parallel Algorithms within Heterogeneous Parallel Computing (HPC): As a Parallel Design Pattern or PDP, as High-Level Parallel Composition or HLPC and as Flow Graph Interfaces or FGI through programming with message passing. An original and effective development methodology for new programmers in parallelism is proposed for each of them. In these three proposals for Generic Parallel Algorithms, the same problem-example is solved as a case study, and a comparative analysis of their models and designs is carried out, as well as the performance obtained in the execution of said proposals and demonstrate their usefulness, programmability, and performance. The objective of this work is to provide the programmer and/or novice user with different multicore programming approaches so that without much effort they can develop their programs according to a sequential programming style, obtaining automatically, easily and the counterpart parallelization of your code with the help of a specific programming environment like the one proposed. © 2024 The Authors.
