The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in machinery functional safety can enhance efficiency and accuracy by automating tasks previously carried out by humans. This paper presents an experimental evaluation of Neural Network (NN) models for hazard identification in machinery functional safety. The systematic study includes own implementations of NN models using open source building blocks and the use of an open source conversational AI framework with various pipeline configurations. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the qualitative and quantitative parameters for the models and configurations.

This research proposes an IoT based technique for predicting rainfall forecast in coastal regions using a deep reinforcement learning model. The proposed technique utilizes Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to capture the temporal dependencies between the rainfall data collected from the coastal regions and the prediction model parameters. The proposed technique is evaluated on a dataset of rainfall data collected from the coastal regions of India and compared to traditional methods of rainfall forecasting. The accuracy and reliability of these models are evaluated by comparing them to prior models. Precipitation in coastal locations may be predicted with an average accuracy of 89% using the suggested model, as shown by the results. The suggested framework is computationally efficient and can be trained with little input. The results of this research give strong evidence that the proposed model is an effective tool for coastal precipitation forecasting. © 2023 The Authors

Project Risk management is the process of identifying, evaluating, avoiding, or reducing risks. Where there is no software project without risks existence are natural in the context of project planning and management. This study focuses on proposing an enhanced risk management approach where testing phases were added to make the risk management process more effective by proposing solutions to many mistakes and challenges that occur through dealing with risks. The proposed approach focuses on dealing with risks that cannot be easily defined, more accurate risk evaluation, planning, and managing risk coordinated with a contingency plan.

Managing withdrawal from crystal metham-phetamine is challenging due to limitations in existing wearable technology, such as single sensor setups and accuracy issues. This research proposes a dual-sensor system that combines ankle and wrist sensors, enhanced by a Kalman filter and sensor fusion techniques to improve data precision and responsiveness. Data quality was enhanced using techniques like Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) and adding Gaussian noise, and developed advanced pattern recognition abilities using Gramian Angular Field (GAF) transformations. The use of these transformations through Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and ConvLSTM significantly enhances the ability to detect withdrawal symptoms. The sophisticated identification methods integrated into a smartphone app built with Flutter and hosted on a FastAPI backend enable greater support for individuals recovering from drug use disorders.

Online customer reviews have developed into a significant source of information about a business's performance. Due to shifting consumer expectations and growing internet penetration, the Middle East, especially Jordan, is seeing an increase in the usage of online banking. This propensity toward digital transition has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mobile banking service companies aim to effectively use customers' feedback to identify areas for improvement in customer satisfaction. Although Arabic is becoming one of the most widely used languages on the Internet, only a few studies have focused on Arabic sentiment analysis to date. The present study conducts an extensive emotion mining and sentiment analysis on mobile banking reviews in Arabic, exploiting machine learning, natural language processing, and resampling methods to obtain subjective feedback, determine polarity, and identify customers' feelings in the banking domain. This work walks the reader through detailed steps of cleaning and preprocessing a manually annotated dataset of online banking reviews in Arabic, followed by features extraction and modeling, dataset splitting, and balancing training data. Finally, we examined classification algorithms including Decision Tree (DT), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), Naïve Bayes (NB), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Random Forest (RF). Ensemble hard and soft voting ML methods were also evaluated. We achieved a maximum accuracy of about 94% using the LR classifier and a maximum precision of 94% using the LR and hard voting methods. Our methodology will enable banks to acquire insights on how to develop their online presence and meet the demands of customers and stakeholders.

Dermatoglyphics, the study of unique ridge patterns on fingertips, plays a crucial role in fingerprint-based identification. However, skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and verruca vulgaris can distort these patterns. This distortion creates challenges for fingerprint matching systems in forensic science and biometric authentication. This paper proposes a Siamese network with a modified ResNet50 architecture and multihead attention mechanisms to improve fingerprint matching under such distortions. The Siamese network enables the system to compare fingerprint pairs effectively, even under distortions. The modified ResNet50 architecture captures intricate ridge patterns, while the multihead attention mechanisms focus on critical fingerprint regions. Overall, the proposed approach enhances the system’s ability to learn discriminative features. As a result, it can effectively differentiate between matched and unmatched fingerprint pairs, even in the presence of moderate to extreme noise. The proposed system was trained on the Sokoto coventry fingerprint dataset (SOCOFing) and a custom dataset. Experimental results demonstrate high accuracy, with the system achieving 99.47% accuracy under low noise conditions and 90% under moderate noise. However, performance declined to 55.56% under extreme distortions. A comparative analysis highlighted the superiority of the proposed system over widely used minutiae-based methods. The latter exhibited a significant drop in matching scores, falling below 15% for highly distorted fingerprints. These findings underscore the limitations of traditional fingerprint recognition techniques and highlight the effectiveness of proposed approach in handling dermatoglyphic distortions. © 2013 IEEE.

The generalization of knowledge is a necessary part of every scientific field. Meta-analysis is already advocated as a tool for generalization in different areas such as medicine, psychology, business, and this process is already standardized for them. software engineering started using meta-analysis as a tool for aggregating results from families of experiments, but not so long for generalization of results coming from different studies, and for this purpose, the meta-analytical approach is not yet clarified. In this paper, we attempt to systematize the application of meta-analysis as a secondary study to the software engineering field suggesting our preliminary protocol. To see the reliability of the proposed protocol we conducted several studies using it. Following even uniform protocol with these studies, we identified the issues preventing the wide usage of meta-analysis in software engineering and proposed our solutions for them.

Around the world, the number of English speakers and the significance of the English language are constantly increasing. Among various technology-supported instructional styles, Mobile Learning (M-Learning) has been recognized as a promising approach to enhance students' competencies and skills in the English language. By examining previous literature, a number of reviews have been performed to investigate the role of M-learning in the English language. However, none of these studies has highlighted the trends, opportunities, and challenges identified in the most cited articles that focused solely on the English language. Therefore, to address these limitations, this study performed a review of the top 100 most cited articles, published between 2007 and 2020, indexed by the Web of science, and addressing the English language only. The results revealed that most research in Mobile English Language Learning (M-ELL) followed an experimental design and employed a single mobile learning implementation. Additionally, the current study identified a number of research areas that require additional research attention. For example, further research is needed among students learning from home, more qualitative research is needed, and additional research is required to improve students' higher-order thinking skills. The outcomes of this study provide a reference to researchers and educators who intend to use mobile technologies in the area of language education, especially in the context of the English language.

The requirements of optimizing path planning for the autonomous robot are in high demand in such industrial communities, especially in manufacturing and caring social support. The application of meta-heuristic methods in autonomous problems is considered because of their adaptivity and robustness. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is one of the researchers’ approaches because of its effectiveness in the ant community. However, some constraints are making this method less productive. Therefore, this paper is to generate a modified ACO combined with Fuzzy logic (ACOFL) to minimize its drawbacks and maximize the robustness of path planning. This study presents the role of ACO algorithms in Path Planning, especially in the complex aspect, through the theoretical background of ACO and the other combination with other algorithms. The improved mathematics model evaluation demonstrates the upgrade steps in the path-finding process. Simulation results shows that the modified ACO algorithm is effective for complex environment compare to standard ACO algorithm. Moreover, the comparison results are presented in this paper between the standard ACO and modified ACO algorithm.

Text Summarization is an essential area in text mining,which has procedures for text *** natural language processing,text summarization maps the documents to a representative set of descriptive ***,the objective of text extraction is to attain reduced expressive contents from the text *** summarization has two main areas such as abstractive,and extractive *** text summarization has further two approaches,in which the first approach applies the sentence score algorithm,and the second approach follows the word embedding *** such text extractions have limitations in providing the basic theme of the underlying *** this paper,we have employed text summarization by TF-IDF with PageRank keywords,sentence score algorithm,and Word2Vec word *** study compared these forms of the text summarizations with the actual text,by calculating cosine ***,TF-IDF based PageRank keywords are extracted from the other two extractive *** intersection over these three types of TD-IDF keywords to generate the more representative set of keywords for each text document is *** technique generates variable-length keywords as per document diversity instead of selecting fixedlength keywords for each *** form of abstractive summarization improves metadata similarity to the original text compared to all other forms of summarized *** also solves the issue of deciding the number of representative keywords for a specific text *** evaluate the technique,the study used a sample of more than eighteen hundred text *** abstractive summarization follows the principles of deep learning to create uniform similarity of extracted words with actual text and all other forms of text *** proposed technique provides a stable measure of similarity as compared to existing forms of text summarization.
