The paper presents research results on ECT (Electrostatic Charge Tendency) of cyclohexane and hexane mixtures, that is dielectric liquids of a simple chemical structure and high purity (Pro analysi). The research tests are carried out in a spinning disk system, where the factors affecting the value of the electrification current registered are a varying composition of the mixture and the rotational speed of the disk. In the next stage physicochemical parameters are measured in order to determine the relationship between the properties of the mixtures under study and the electrification current generated. The research results show that the ECT of the mixture depends, to a large extent, on the proper selection of particular components.

This paper presents an extended path planning method for obstacle avoidance for mobile robots using auxiliary positions. The desired path connects a given start position to a target position under avoidance of static obstacles. The corners of the rectangles that cover the obstacles serve as the auxiliary positions. The extended path planning uses the bounding rectangle with minimal area as a basis of simple bounding rectangle. Thus the accessible action area which is available for the path planning becomes larger and the path planning can be done more flexibly. The results of this method will also be discussed using MATLAB simulations and an implementation as part of the development of a system for fully automated storekeeping.

The paper presents the application of the Cole-Cole model for determining the runs of the return voltage of the paper-oil insulation sample through a computer simulation. Different insulation conditions were simulated through an adequate selection of parameters α and τ of the Cole-Cole model. For calculation purposes, a series - parallel substitute scheme, obtained through approximation of a discrete characteristic operator impedance Za of the model applied, was used. The diagnostics of the simulated insulation condition was based on the analysis of a few selected parameters of the return voltage, obtained from time characteristics.

Future requirements of vehicle control dynamics especially cars, (technical systems in common) requires to consider not only needs but also ability of human operator's more systematically when selecting among the multitude of possible design alternatives of human/vehicle environment. More recent information and automation technologies including graphics (graphic display) and systems on decision making support have the potential to change vehicle control towards a new quality of automation and co-operation, which can be entitled "decision making in human/vehicle system". Striving for these design goals seems to be necessary in order to meet higher quality for operator/vehicle behaviour, operations safety in the system human/vehicle traffic situation and environmental compatibility by vehicle operations. This calls such design approaches, where physical, psychological and intellectual human behavioural reasons are taken into consideration and are also exploited.

In this paper we present a novel real time algorithm to sequentially solve a class of multi-view geometry problems. The triangulation problem is considered as study case. The problem concerns with the estimation of 3D point coordinates given its images as well as the matrices of the concern cameras used in the imaging process. The algorithm has direct application to real time systems like virtual reality, visual SLAM, and visual servoing. Application to visual servoing is considered in detail. Experiments have been carried out for the general triangulation problem as well as the application to visual servoing.

The paper presents a new numerical integration routine BGKODE_DSP. This routine is based on BGKODE routine, which forms a practical application of the Kroghpsilas algorithm. BGKODE_DSP routine realizes the predictor-corrector method and has been simplified to ensure its applicability in real time systems. The results of the comparison between the selected common numerical integration methods and the new routine is presented. The scope of this research also involves the range of accuracy of the solution resulting from the shorter computation time. Experiments have been carried out on experimental drive system with induction motor with the use of DTC method.

Similar to the shape description using Mexican Hat Wavelet functions we present in this paper the derivation of object descriptors using Haar Wavelets. The derivation is based on the continuous wavelet transformation of an angle function using the Haar function as mother wavelet. The angle function which represents a given object shape is derived from the extracted contour polygon by computing the angle differences between the angles at every position on the contour and the angle at the starting point. This angle function is periodical but with 2πoffset and can be normalized in order to be independent of the object's size, it's position and orientation. The angle function depends only on the starting point on the given contour. Moreover, the used angle function doesn't include any singularity which might arise due to object rotations. The derived Wavelet descriptors were used in an agricultural application to recognize weed species. The paper presents in this context some derived results as well as possible solution for the problem of starting point.

The aim of this paper is an attempt of the simulation of the electromechanical systems with the use of the programming tools included in the modern graphical packages or graphical extensions to the programming languages. The advantage of such approach lies in possibility of the simultaneous high quality visualization of the currently obtained results. The possibilities of new graphical packages enable making calculations on the Web platform - it is new and very interesting idea. The proposed solutions can be used both to the educational and presentation tasks.
