This article aims to propose a finite element formulation based on Quasi-3D theory for the static bending analysis of functionally graded porous(FGP)sandwich *** FGP sandwich plates consist of three layers including the bottom skin of homogeneous metal,the top skin of fully ceramic and the FGP core layer with uneven porosity distribution.A quadrilateral(Q4)element with nine degrees of freedom(DOFs)per node is derived and employed in analyzing the static bending response of the plate under uniform and/or sinusoidally distributed *** accuracy of the present finite element formulation is verified by comparing the obtained numerical results with the published results in the ***,some numerical examples are performed to examine the effects of the parameters including power-law index k and porosity coefficient on the static bending response of rectangular FGP sandwich *** addition,a problem with a complicated L-shape model is conducted to illustrate the superiority of the proposed finite element method.

Stereo matching is the key of reconstructing 3D face model from 2D face images and Barnard's algorithm is one of the classical stereo matching algorithms based on feature points. In order to enhance the stability of extracting feature points, reduce computational complexity and minimize the effect of subjective factors, in this paper, Barnard's algorithm of edge point matching was improved from two aspects: edge point sets of left and right face images were extracted with dyadic wavelet transform, rather than comparing gray values of adjacent pixels; on the other hand, edge points in binocular stereo face images were matched under epipolar constraint in parallel binocular stereo matching. Experimental results demonstrate that stability and efficiency of stereo matching algorithm are both improved.

Step response method is a method for detection of foreign metal objects in the proximity of the transmitter coil in WPT system. It is based on a measurement of the resonant frequency of the transmitter’s LC tank. As such, it can be used on the fly, while the wireless power transfer takes place, and it should have low impact on WPT system performance. This paper discusses drawbacks of the step response method with respect to required modifications of the transmitter and receiver circuits, and also the impact it has on the DC power supply through increased inrush currents. The discussion is verified through measurements on the built prototype with implemented step response method.
