The work describe the implementation of the prototype solution of the rightly developing system. The system belongs to the group of the tele-medical applications orientated on the e-health sphere of the supplying of the services. This system can considerably help to streamline the work of the nurses. The system is proposed and implemented so that it was simple to extend it. The system contains three basic parts. The desktop application appointed for the projecting, the mobile application for the employees in the terrain on which from the design creates the history and the application for the synchronization. The mobile equipment serves as a task-work in which the employee will tear away the tasks which he has to do and which were in advance schemed by the superior employee. The system will be fully extendable about other required functionalities which relates departmentally with the system. © 2010 International Federation for Medical and Biological engineering.

This article undertakes the most important parts of hardware platform of our Biotelemetric system. It describes the way of use of standard devices from commercial manufacturers, such as embedded PCs, PDAs and wireless ECG unit BlueECG communicating via bluetooth. Suggests major problems and disadvantages of their use and offers possible solutions in the form of construction of our own purpose-built equipment. Whether in the form of small auxiliary hardware and design options EKG units optimized for low power consumption and collaboration with mobile devices with limited computing capabilities. © 2010 International Federation for Medical and Biological engineering.

The paper presents modern advanced development methods of control systems that minimizes the cost of development of applications which are widely applicable in industrial control of whole range of processes. Unlike the classical way of design and testing control algorithms which are based on expensive RT measurement cards or dSpace, this solution is based on industrial controllers WinPLC/WinPAC. This enables so called rapid-prototyping of control algorithms directly from Matlab-Simulink into target platform. It was used muItiplatform control system REX as a bridge between Matlab and the target platform. The paper describes whole design of control algorithms and control schemes, simulation of prepared schemes, uploading control schemes into target platform of WinPLC. Also possibilities of remote data transfer and data storage are mentioned. The real measurement on hydraulic industrial system proved its limits that were also explained in this paper.

This article deals with noise reduction in modern communication systems. Primarily it focuses on cases where conventional filtering techniques based on linear filtering fail. It is modern based approach to adaptive filtering. The article presents a comprehensive hardware and software solutions to the adaptive system using the two main leaders of adaptive LMS (least mean square) and RLS (recursive least squares) algorithms. Adaptive system for noise reduction in radio (mobile) communication is designed in Matlab. This system has its practical use in communication especially in noisy environments (transport, factories, sporting events, etc.).

This paper describes the design of the solution of the 3rd generation of the robot-soccer strategy system for the VŠB-TU Ostrava robot-soccer team. In this generation, we tried to completely redesign our system, implement and evaluate new, popular or advanced technologies. We divided the strategy system into two parts: the higher strategy, which makes decisions about the robots' goals, and the lower strategy, which controls the motion of the robot. The motion control is based on computing and following of trajectory. Higher strategies are built on evaluation, recognition, and performance of user defined scenarios. An additional part of the system, - the manual computer-assisted control of robots - is also described.

The purpose of this project is to allow a free movement of Building Management System (BMS) operator in all controlled building area. The current state of the problem consists in an impossibility of operator's movement from control centre. We found a solution in using of mobile devices like PDA with a client of BMS to allow a remote access to all alarms of system. Solution consist in use of web services and web methods interface on BMS server, where is possible to connect a remote PDA client to interchange a requested info about alarms and trends. A web services and mobile client application was created using a Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. Future trends are also discussed to provide a solution for small and mid size constructions in direction of use a Microsoft .NET Micro Framework. © 2010 IEEE.

The purpose of this work is the implementation of the program code that enables digital filtration on aJ-80 embedded JAVA processor. While working the implementation filter we need to provide the fastest calculation with the greatest accuracy. Next, it is almost always necessary for the results to be available after the same time from the sample upload. These matters determine the digital filtration as a problem called RT, which is the problem suitable for testing of the processor aJ-80 and its RT features. The work also describes the chosen task example, which examines RT features of this processor. We also mention the attained results and their evaluation. Based on the evaluation, the performance of the hardware program of the processor aJ-80 is very effective. In this respect, the product is recommended to use in many hard RT areas. © 2010 IEEE.

The paper presents a problem of Real Time processing of ECG signal from patients by mobile embedded monitoring stations. Two ECG measurement devices were used in real tests. A two ECG channel bipolar ECG CorBelt and a 12 channels ECG device BlueECG. Both devices are products from Corscience Company. Due to a problem of processing a 12 channels ECG from ECG device by Bluetooth to mobile stations, the problem of packet parsing was discussed and two possible solutions were focused on. Another important part in biomedical data processing is visualization. A Windows Presentation Foundation solution was presented and tested. Mobile embedded monitoring stations are based on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. The whole system is based on the architecture of . NET Framework, .NET Compact Framework, .NET Micro Framework and Microsoft SQL Server. The project was successfully tested in real environment in cryogenic room (-136°C).

This paper describes the design and fabrication of an intelligent Irrigation control system that allows intelligent control of the water applied to the field at right amounts and times. The system should have the capabilities to measure the water content in the soil so water can be applied as needed. The WATERMARK soil moisture sensor based on the measurement of the soil tension will provide the measurement of the water content. The system measures the soil tension, soil temperature and rain status and records the data in a file for future reference. It will apply water to field if a certain level of soil water tension is reached. This intelligent Irrigation control system is suitable for universities, research centers and farms where a control of the soil water content is required. The system can be used to study the water requirements for crops so irrigation can be scheduled efficiently.
