The paper deals with a bulk solid pressure observation inside a silo using new developed 3Dimensional (Triaxial) Indicator. New design and conception of the 3D indicator have been developed exclusively for detecting of real stresses/pressures inside vessels, bunkers and silos. The unique design of the 3D indicator in cooperation with appropriate used software, and with a silo model is able to assure a clear image to pressure/stress identifications in particulate solid. Moreover, the third dimension is unique and enriches the area of the pressure knowledge. The measurement process incl. the procedure of processing values using the created interactive software environment has been explained in the poster intimately and investigated in a real silo loaded by a poured bulk solid. Real results and outputs of the investigation have been presented and discovered in the paper.

In this paper, a new hybrid impulsive and switching control strategy for chaos synchronization is developed. Using switched Lyapunov functions, several new criteria for exponential stability and asymptotical stability of hybrid impulsive and switching nonlinear systems are established and, particularly, some simple sufficient conditions for driving the synchronization error to zero are proposed. A typical example, the Chua's chaotic circuit, is given for illustrating and visualizing the theoretical results.

In this paper a novel three-phase line-interactive UPS system with parallel-series active power-line conditioning capability using AC line reactor and two four-leg voltage source converter (VSC) is proposed. The four-leg VSC can use the DC-link voltage effectively by the 3-D SVPWM method. Hence the DC battery voltage can be reduced by 15% in comparison to that of the conventional line-interactive UPS system. The parallel inverter operating as a shunt active filter is a controlled voltage source and controls the three-phase line voltage independently in order to control the source current. It eliminates the neutral line current and the active ripple power of the source side using the dqo transformation so that unity power factor and the sinusoidal source current can be achieved even though both the source and the load voltages have zero sequence components. The series inverter operating as dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) compensates the load voltage and allows it to be balanced and harmonic-free. Both of the series and shunt inverters always act as independently controllable voltage sources, so that the three-phase output voltage can show a seamless transition to the backup mode. The feasibility of the proposed UPS system has been investigated and verified through experimental results.

A systems engineering approach to integrated control and supervision for applications to industrial multi-zone furnaces has been elaborated and tested in a case study of three-zone 25 MW RZS pusher furnace at Skopje Steelworks. The integrated control and supervision design is based on combined use of general predictive control optimization of set-points, at the upper level, and steady-state decoupling classical two-term laws, at the lower executive control level. For practical engineering and maintenance reasons, digital implementations are sought within standard computer process control platform.

A systems re-engineering technique to integrated control and supervision for applications to industrial multi-zone furnaces has been elaborated by using known theories on generalized predictive control and nonlinear programming. This paper presents the derivation of optimizing equations and inequalities. The design is based on the use of general predictive control to provide optimized set-points under the presumption a well designed regulatory control was implemented at the executive level. Digital implementation of control functions are sought within standard computer process control platform for practical engineering and maintenance reasons.
