This paper deals with EMI problems as a part of EMC. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is a system ability to work properly without unintentional electromagnetic emissions. Elektromagnetic interference (EMI) is focused on emissions sources identification, disturb signal describing and measurement. There are few policies for verification of compatibility in EMC discipline. EMI is tested by matching the measured values and accepted limits. For finale values to be reproducable we have to recount the measured values into parameters of measurement system. The aim of this contribution is to give clear understanding to this procedure

A new robust adaptive hybrid control design, employing both math-analytical model and neural networks, for a class of uncertain nonlinear composite systems possessing similarity property has been derived. This design technique makes an adequate use of the structural characteristics of similar composite systems, and resolves the uncertainty issues in gains and interconnections by on-line updating the weights of the respective artificial neural nets. It depends on little a-priori knowledge and assures the system stability in closed-loop. It can be readily implemented within computercontrol systems, and it requires little computation effort and time. The application of this technique is illustrated by the real-world axis-tray drive mechatronic system.

The back-stepping design methodology of the math-analytical nonlinear control theory has been shown to provide an efficient constructive tool for designing controllers in various systems engineering applications. A novel robust non-linear control design application for electrical power systems employing thyristor controlled series compensation (TCSC) is resolved by means of this methodology. For the case of single machine to infinite bus system with TCSC having internal and external disturbances, storage functions of the system are constructed via adaptive back-stepping design, and a novel non-linear L2 gain disturbance attenuation controller along with parameter update law is obtained. The construction of both feedback control law and associated storage functions is consistently systematic within the design methodology. Simulation results have demonstrated that the controller designed by back-stepping methodology possesses superior performances relative to the alternative designs for the same power system.

The main contribution of the paper is an output-feedback application in the inertia wheel pendulum (IWP). Due to the absence of a separation principle, it is necessary to design control laws that guarantee robustness against the observer error. We present a design, which renders the system iISS with respect to the observer error and, hence, ensures robustness when the error is exponentially decaying. The advantage of our design over the observer-based backstepping scheme is that we employ nonlinear damping terms, which grow slower than those in (A toolkit for nonlinear feedback design, 1989), (Singular perturbations and input-to-state stability, 1996), and result in a "softer" control law.
