Wilga 2022 Summer Symposium on Photonics Applications and Web engineering was the 50th edition of the research and technical meetings series. Traditionally, the whole week lasting annual series of technical conferences and topical sessions was split to one winter meeting in January and two summer events in May/June, and in September 2022. The hybrid meetings were held in Wilga resort near Warsaw, owned by the Warsaw University of technology and in Lublin. Nearly 100 participants took part in all of the Wilga 2022 events, most of them being young researchers active in all aspects of photonics, electronics and ICT science and technology. Wilga Symposium embraces hardware and software technologies associated with photonics like optics, optical engineering, optoelectronics, electronics and electrical engineering, mechatronics, chemical and material engineering, applied physics, industrial solutions and applications. Around 100 papers were presented during Wilga 2022, oral and poster. Out of this number, some papers chosen by authors are published in this volume of Proc. SPIE mostly related to photonics. The major change was that during Wilga 2020, 2021 and 2022 Symposia, during summer editions, no traditional large young researcher sessions at large were possible to be organized. © 2022 SPIE. Dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm is a novel with a very efficient metaheuristic inspired by the dipper throated *** has its unique hunting technique by performing rapid bowing *** show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm,DTO is tested and compared to the algorithms of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO),Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Grey Wolf Optimizer(GWO),and Genetic Algorithm(GA)based on the seven unimodal benchmark ***,ANOVA and Wilcoxon rank-sum tests are performed to confirm the effectiveness of the DTO compared to other optimization ***,to demonstrate the proposed algorithm’s suitability for solving complex realworld issues,DTO is used to solve the feature selection *** strategy of using DTOs as feature selection is evaluated using commonly used data sets from the University of California at Irvine(UCI)*** findings indicate that the DTO outperforms all other algorithms in addressing feature selection issues,demonstrating the proposed algorithm’s capabilities to solve complex real-world situations.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems need a material compatible with the imaging technique with lesser attenuation and provide accurate images without distortion. Carbon fibers are the best-suited materials for x-ray applications because of their radiolucent properties and reduced attenuation characteristics. However, carbon fiber produces images with distortion in the MRI system by absorbing electromagnetic energy because of its conductive nature. In the present study, five different fiber-reinforced radiolucent composite plates are analyzed to predict their suitability for a radio frequency coil and the effect of a primary magnetic field of 1.5 T and 3.0 T on mechanical responses. Simulation models are built to explore the impact of electromagnetic waves and birdcage coil configurations on composite material and quantify the temperature changes caused due to energy absorption. A multiphysics coupling simulation is being used to understand the effect of stacking sequence, ply orientation, and boundary conditions on the response of composite plates under an electro-magneto-mechanical environment. © The Author(s) 2022.

The demands on conventional communication networks are increasing rapidly because of the exponential expansion of connected multimedia *** light of the data-centric aspect of contemporary communication,the information-centric network(ICN)paradigm offers hope for a solution by emphasizing content retrieval by name instead of *** 5G networks are to meet the expected data demand surge from expanded connectivity and Internet of Things(IoT)devices,then effective caching solutions will be required tomaximize network throughput andminimize the use of ***,an ICN-based Cooperative Caching(ICN-CoC)technique has been used to select a cache by considering cache position,content attractiveness,and rate *** findings show that utilizing our suggested approach improves caching regarding the Cache Hit Ratio(CHR)of 84.3%,Average Hop Minimization Ratio(AHMR)of 89.5%,and Mean Access Latency(MAL)of 0.4 *** a framework,it suggests improved caching strategies to handle the difficulty of effectively controlling data consumption in 5G *** improvements aim to make the network run more smoothly by enhancing content delivery,decreasing latency,and relieving *** improving 5G communication systems’capacity tomanage the demands faced by modern data-centric applications,the research ultimately aids in advancement.

Indonesia has been participating at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) since 1995. The process of selecting the four contestants remains unchanged. All medalists in the national level competition were invited to take a series of training camps to select competitively the candidates. In the first two decades of participation in IOI, Indonesia have collected two gold medals, and these surprising achievements were merely more because of luck, and not as a result of a reliable training/selection process. We believe reliable and good training is a basis to predict and expect a stable achievement. Through careful observations and reflections, a change of course of action is needed to bring Indonesia’s achievement to the next level. This paper shares Indonesia’s experience in changing and implementing strategies during the national training camps to better prepare the four contestants to IOI. What are the changes taken by the coaching team that have been exercised that made it possible for Indonesia to achieve three gold in the last four consecutive years? © 2023 IOI, Vilnius University.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in robotics, particularly in the advancement of gaming robotics, has drawn a lot of interest as technological and scientific developments continue to advance. This innovation opens up new possibilities for creating smart autonomous robots for gaming. Nevertheless, there is more work to be done to achieve great accuracy and consistency in motion management. The challenges of the robotics' level of smart and the motion-capturing structure's capacity to prevent interruption still require resolution, although numerous methods have been put out to improve monitoring accuracy by merging various data. This study proposes an adaptable reinforcement learning (RL)-oriented multifaceted data combination (AdRL-MDC) system for training a robotic hand to play games alongside humans. It incorporates an adaptable training process for updating the ensemble classification algorithm, an RL paradigm that provides the robots with smart knowledge, and a multifaceted data combination framework that is resistant to interruption. The following studies demonstrate the AdRL-MDC system's previously indicated functionality. The ensemble framework, which combines a convolutional neural network (CNN), performs well in terms of accuracy and computing duration. Furthermore, the depth vision-oriented CNN classification algorithm achieves one hundred percent recognition accuracy, implying that the forecasted motions are the real value.

The Internet of Things (IoT) can potentially change how humans interact with the environment. This technology is able to be applied in various fields, such as urban management, agriculture, environmental monitoring, health, and transportation. Conventional air quality monitoring systems are complex sensing equipment and they can measure various parameters of air pollutants. This system requires very high costs and maintenance. Therefore, a low-cost air quality measurement system is required and is able to measure the surrounding air pollutants. By using wireless sensor network technology as the acquisition of environmental monitoring sensor data. A system design was created in the form of geographic information capable of describing air quality in a particular area. The air parameters used are carbon monoxide, dust particulate, light intensity, temperature, and relative humidity. The wireless network uses the LoRa module connected to the gateway. The web server provides a database and geographic information system interface from the gateway through the MQTT broker. Data transmission using a radio frequency of 915 Mhz and able to send data sensors from various points. Outdoor testing at many buildings is capable of transmitting sensor data with a packet loss of 0% at a distance of fewer than 111 meters and the largest packet loss of 51.28% at a distance of 442 meters. © 2023 IEEE.

The Equilibrium Optimiser(EO)has been demonstrated to be one of the metaheuristic algorithms that can effectively solve global optimisation *** the paradox between exploration and exploitation operations while enhancing the ability to jump out of the local optimum are two key points to be addressed in EO *** alleviate these limitations,an EO variant named adaptive elite-guided Equilibrium Optimiser(AEEO)is ***,the adaptive elite-guided search mechanism enhances the balance between exploration and *** modified mutualism phase reinforces the information interaction among particles and local optima *** cooperation of these two mechanisms boosts the overall performance of the basic *** AEEO is subjected to competitive experiments with state-of-the-art algorithms and modified algorithms on 23 classical benchmark functions and IEE CEC 2017 function test *** results demonstrate that AEEO outperforms several well-performing EO variants,DE variants,PSO variants,SSA variants,and GWO variants in terms of convergence speed and *** addition,the AEEO algorithm is used for the edge server(ES)placement problem in mobile edge computing(MEC)*** experimental results show that the author’s approach outperforms the representative approaches compared in terms of access latency and deployment cost.

This paper studies near real time obj ect acquisition by means of detection, identification and engagement on stationary, moving and maneuvering targets in the air and land domains. Using the streamed videos from monochrome and color cameras, a machine vision concept accomplishes object detection by recognizing the object-specific edges and shapes which yield unique geometric features. Object recognition with descriptive identification at reasonable accuracy is performed using the Jaccard index. The region proposal detectors with the intersection over union is implemented by a convolutional neural network. The machine learning models, implemented by the low power system-on-module, were trained. These machine learning algorithms and models support feature detection and matching, localization, and, three-dimensional spatiotemporal reconstruction. The two-and three-dimensional geometry with object and background contrast and color mappings are considered. Subsequent tracking and locking on maneuverable targets is performed using spatio-temporal three-dimensional analytics. The airborne machine acquisition module with trained models is demonstrated. A concept suits monochrome, color and thermal analog and digital cameras. Experiments in typified operational environments demonstrate acceptable accuracy, convergence, low latency and near real-time capabilities for different object categories and classes within developed custom datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

We address the problem of detecting the number of complex exponentials and estimating their parameters from a noisy signal using the Matrix Pencil (MP) method. We introduce the MP modes and present their informative spectral structure. We show theoretically that these modes can be divided into signal and noise modes, where the signal modes exhibit a perturbed Vandermonde structure. Leveraging this structure, we proposed a new MP algorithm, termed the SAMP algorithm, which has two novel components. First, we present a new and robust model order detection with theoretical guarantees. Second, we present an efficient estimation of signal amplitudes. We show empirically that the SAMP algorithm significantly outperforms the standard MP method, particularly in challenging conditions with closely-spaced frequencies and low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) values, approaching the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRB) for a broad SNR range. Additionally, compared with prevalent information-based criteria, we show that SAMP is more computationally efficient and insensitive to noise distribution. Copyright © 2025, The Authors.
