Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.

This paper proposes the use of adaptive algorithms for real-time data analysis. Adaptive algorithms are a set of practical methods used for acting information-driven optimization and studying. They have a wide variety of applications and may be implemented to a selection of facts analysis obligations. This paper offers an overview of existing adaptive algorithms and descriptions of several new programs in the area of actual-time facts analysis. In particular, the paper discusses the notion of adaptive thresholding, which allows for practical real-time evaluation of large datasets. The paper also provides a novel technique for making use of these algorithms in an online learning environment. Results from simulations illustrate the ability of the proposed method in real-international packages. Sooner or later, the paper presents numerous key lessons discovered and affords recommendations for future research and packages in this area. © 2024 IEEE.

Autonomous Mobile Network (AMN) contains mobile nodes which can predict the surrounding and forward the data to the receiver in undesirable conditions. AMN can observe, activate, calculate, and interconnect with others by applying point-to-point multi-hop transactions. Achieving such a fundamental agreement in a resource-constrained environment is a challenging problem since security methods always need additional energy and computational storage burdens. This paper proposes Link Connectivity based Reliability with Security (LCRS) in AMN to overcome this problem. This paper aims to detect abnormal nodes and improve link connectivity. The Link Connectivity Threshold (LCT) parameter estimates the link availability among the present sender and the subsequent forwarder node on the route to the destination. It selects the forwarder node by energy, link connectivity, and distance parameters. Furthermore, it isolates abnormal nodes using the lightweight Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) algorithm. This technique isolates the abnormal nodes and provides an effective route. The experimental outcomes demonstrate that the LCRS scheme diminishes the packet loss rate and delay. Furthermore, it raises the abnormal node detection ratio. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper presents a family of novel light blob shape descriptors for use in selected active safety algorithms used in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). One of the motivations was to obtain a descriptor that would ensure low computational complexity. This makes it easy to implement both in software and hardware. One assumption is that the location of the center of a given light spot is approximately known. The principle of its operation is then to count white pixels in selected directions, starting from this central point. A key issue here is an efficient way of determining indexes of particular pixels belonging to the image patch, as well as the location of points representing places where the white area turns into black. In the case of a hardware implementation, this can be done using a parallel circuit operating in asynchronous mode, without the need for a control clock. © 2023 IEEE.

Access to clean and safe drinking water is critical to human well-being while ensuring water quality remains an ongoing challenge. Despite the water board's best attempts at filtration, the potential for contamination remains due to factors such as inappropriate storage, deteriorating pipelines, or unintentional mixing during transit to houses. To address this issue, this study introduces an image processing incorporated real-time smart water quality Monitoring system to detect Algae and debris for a sustainable environment. This micro controller-based device consists of sensors, cameras, and image processing technologies to deliver real-time data for analysis. An object detection and localization model were trained using YOLO V5 architecture with 73.4% accuracy to assess the existence of Algae and debris. The developed user-friendly and accurate portable system will undoubtedly benefit the developing field of water quality monitoring and safeguarding public health. With further technological enhancements, the developed method will enable the assessment of numerous qualitative and quantitative parameters of water to contribute to environmental sustainability. © 2023 IEEE.

Background: Capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) is a promising component of mechanical-electrical-acoustical conversion, which shows valuable applications in non-distructive testing and obstacle detection fields. In order to study the influence of dimension parameters on the directivity of CMUTs, the three-dimensional multi-physics coupling model is proposed for CMUTs in this paper. Methods: The model combines multiple physical fields through finite element method (FEM), which is more efficient and accurate. The influence of dimension parameters on the transducer is studied from two aspects: the pitch between adjacent cells and cell number, respectively. Results: When increasing the pitch, the directivity becomes better if the pitch is less than half of the wavelength, the grating lobe and side lobe are aroused. However, the bandwidth at-3dB is reduced by up to 71.1% at the same time. When increasing the cell number, the better the direcitvity, while the change of the cell number has little effect on the bandwidth of the array. However, 5.4% frequency shift was caused due to the effective mass change of the transducer. Conclusion: In this study, a 3D model based on FEM is proposed for the influence of dimension parameter on CMUTs. The simulation results indicate that the directivity can be enhanced by chang-ing the dimension. At the same time, it also introduces other performance issues, such as bandwidth decrease and frequency shift through this approach. Therefore, the simulation proposed the guidance of CMUTs performance optimization and patented technology application work in the future. © 2024, Bentham Science Publishers. All rights reserved.

Following the introduction of Adam, several novel adaptive optimizers for deep learning have been proposed. These optimizers typically excel in some tasks but may not outperform Adam uniformly across all tasks. In this work, we introduce Meta-Adaptive Optimizers (MADA), a unified optimizer framework that can generalize several known optimizers and dynamically learn the most suitable one during training. The key idea in MADA is to parameterize the space of optimizers and dynamically search through it using hypergradient descent during training. We empirically compare MADA to other popular optimizers on vision and language tasks, and find that MADA consistently outperforms Adam and other popular optimizers, and is robust against sub-optimally tuned hyper-parameters. MADA achieves a greater validation performance improvement over Adam compared to other popular optimizers during GPT-2 training and fine-tuning. We also propose AVGrad, a modification of AMSGrad that replaces the maximum operator with averaging, which is more suitable for hyper-gradient optimization. Finally, we provide a convergence analysis to show that parameterized interpolations of optimizers can improve their error bounds (up to constants), hinting at an advantage for meta-optimizers. In the last few decades, metaheuristic algorithms that use the laws of nature have been used dramatically in numerous and complex optimization problems. The artificial hummingbird algorithm (AHA) is one of the metaheuristic algorithms that was invented in 2022 based on the foraging and migration behavior of the hummingbird for modeling and solving optimization problems. The algorithm initially starts with an initial random population of solutions. It then uses iterative processes and hummingbird position updates to balance exploration and exploitation toward the most optimal solutions. This paper has a detailed and extensive review of the AHA algorithm considering the aspects of hybrid, improved, binary, multi-objective, and optimization problems. In addition, a wide range of applications of AHA in various fields such as feature selection, image processing, scheduling, Internet of Things, classification, clustering, financial and economic issues, forecasting, wireless sensor networks, and many engineering challenges are explored. The statistical and numerical results showed that the AHA algorithm with deep learning methods, Levy flight, and opposition-based learning had the best performance. Also, the AHA algorithm is most widely used in solving multimodal optimization problems and continuous functions. © The Author(s) under exclusive licence to International Center for Numerical Methods in engineering (CIMNE) 2024.

This paper proposes a hysteresis current control (HCC) method for a single-inductor buck-boost non-isolated onboard charger for electric vehicles. The charger is capable of working both in the boost and buck modes. The proposed HCC relies on the buck-boost inductor current and its reference which is generated using a proportional-resonant (PR) controller using grid current error. The reference current generated by PR controller is modified to suppress the oscillations in the inductor currents. An active damping by using a virtual resistor connected in series to filter inductor is used which does not require an additional sensor. A proportional-integral (PI) controller is used to generate the amplitude of grid current reference, which is utilized in constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) modes. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy as well as the control method, is investigated by simulation studies by considering two different battery voltage levels (48V and 350V). The results show that the proposed method is able to charge the battery in CV and CC modes. Moreover, the grid current is maintained in unity power factor at a reasonably low total harmonic distortion (THD) which is smaller than the limits recognized by international standards. © 2023 IEEE.

A new network architecture called the Software-Defined Network (SDN) gives next-generation networks a more flexible and efficiently controlled network architecture. Using the programmable central controller design, network supervisors may easily supervise and manage the entire infrastructure. However, due to its centralized structure, SDN has been a target of various attack vectors. The most successful attack method against the SDN among these has been Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS). Therefore, this study proposes a snort and Zeek enabled with machine learning (ML) based model to classify the benign traffic from DDoS attack traffic. This study main contribution is the discovery of new features for DDoS attack detection, which made it difficult to distinguish authorized traffic from attack traffic when spread across so many points of origin. Using the ML-based enabled RYU controller with SNORT and ZEEK created fewer false positives and a smaller variety of true positives per attack than the existing methods. The processing time of ML-based enabled with SNORT and ZEEK on the real-time testbed is better contrasted to the existing methods. Using the open resource technologies offered a far better understanding of cyber safety and its benefits from the readily available programs to construct a solid network keeping an eye on the traffic. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management.
