In this paper we present two types of server implementation, we will look at the advantages and disadvantages of each technology. *** server application, built with ***, a single threaded server which will treat the requests in an asynchronous manner, with a non-blocking principle, whilst Spring Boot is a more robust and more common approach of a server technology with the benefits of having a strongly typed architecture and multiple threads available. These types of application will behave the same, making almost impossible to tell the difference between a *** and a Spring Boot web server. © 2023 IEEE.

Audio steganography is a tool for concealing data (a secret message) inside an audio signal (a carrier). It is regarded as an essential approach for information security. This paper presents a proposed technique for audio signal steganography, which is implemented in the wavelet domain, with a pre-processing enhancement step. First, adaptive Wiener filtering is implemented to reduce the noise on audio signals. Then, the Inverse Short-Time Fourier Transform (ISTFT) is applied to convert the target image from the spectrogram-like nature to the 1-D signal-like nature. The embedding process is performed on high-frequency coefficients in the wavelet domain to keep the audio signals unchanged for human perception. The reverse process is implemented at the receiver. Hence, the embedded coefficients are extracted to recover the embedded image through Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT). The recovered audio signal is also obtained after the removal of embedded coefficients. The major goal is to enhance the performance of the audio steganography technique, while retaining the audio signal quality. The outcomes show that the suggested technique successfully allows audio steganography and enhances the resultant audio signal quality at different Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) levels. © 2023 IEEE.

Power-quality standards provide limited guidance on frequency quality for short time scales, such as less than one hour. Capturing frequency variations and events requires high time resolutions, e.g., 0.1 seconds or less, resulting in significant data storage requirements. However, power-quality monitors typically report averaged values at intervals of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or one hour, depending on the disturbance type. To address these challenges, we propose calculating statistic indices from high-resolution data within a 15-minute or one-hour window length, thus avoiding storing high-resolution data. We apply the basic statistic indices to frequency data measured in Finland for a single day in June 2023, demonstrating their effectiveness in capturing frequency variations and two significant events during that day. © 2024 IEEE.

The efficiency of businesses is often hindered by the challenges encountered in traditional Supply Chain Manage-ment(SCM),which is characterized by elevated risks due to inadequate accountability and *** address these challenges and improve operations in green manufacturing,optimization algorithms play a crucial role in supporting decision-making *** this study,we propose a solution to the green lot size optimization issue by leveraging bio-inspired algorithms,notably the Stork Optimization Algorithm(SOA).The SOA draws inspiration from the hunting and winter migration strategies employed by storks in *** theoretical framework of SOA is elaborated and mathematically modeled through two distinct phases:exploration,based on migration simulation,and exploitation,based on hunting strategy *** tackle the green lot size optimization issue,our methodology involved gathering real-world data,which was then transformed into a simplified function with multiple constraints aimed at optimizing total costs and minimizing CO_(2) *** function served as input for the SOA ***,the SOA model was applied to identify the optimal lot size that strikes a balance between cost-effectiveness and *** extensive experimentation,we compared the performance of SOA with twelve established metaheuristic algorithms,consistently demonstrating that SOA outperformed the *** study’s contribution lies in providing an effective solution to the sustainable lot-size optimization dilemma,thereby reducing environmental impact and enhancing supply chain *** simulation findings underscore that SOA consistently achieves superior outcomes compared to existing optimization methodologies,making it a promising approach for green manufacturing and sustainable supply chain management.

In this manuscript, we investigate the dynamics of Memristor Cellular Nonlinear Networks, focusing on the complex behaviors of 2-terminal locally active volatile threshold switches, known as volatile memristors, using a circuit-theoretic approach. We show that a cell within the array equipped with an NbO2-based volatile threshold switch can exhibit both oscillatory and static dynamics depending on the parameters of the Memristor Cellular Nonlinear Network. We utilize the latter to design an M-CNN for image processing that performs edge detection on binary input images. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a novel approach for state-space representation of linear time invariant (LTI) systems, so-called Future Inputs Elimination (FIE) method. It can be applied to single-input-single-output (SISO) or multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems, continuous-time or discrete-time systems, whose dynamic equations are coupled or separated (uncoupled) in terms of their inputs and outputs. The FIE method closely parallels to the controllable canonical method when restricted to a class of SISO LTI systems. Moreover, it retains an easy implementation and effortless computation even for a class of MIMO LTI systems. The proposed approach may be used for representation of LTI systems with multiple or complex-conjugate poles. Many representative numerical examples are provided in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the elimination state-space method for representation of both SISO and MIMO LTI systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Microgrids (MGs) comprising of distributed generation units (DGs) are subjected to plug-and-play operation (PnP), lines (connecting the DGs) parameters uncertainty, and load changes. Robust stability and an authentic operation for islanded microgrids can be guaranteed through a robust decentralized voltage tracker developed in this paper. The proposed controller design has the following merits: 1) fully decentralized, 2) scalable, and 3) maintains robust stability against PnP of DGs, load changes, and lines parameters’ uncertainties. A sufficient condition is developed by linear matrix inequality convex optimization is exploited to solve the problem. The MGs’ changes in load and the line's parameters are modelled as norm-bounded uncertainties. The suggested controller uses local measurements from DGs, i.e., decentralized by the decomposition of the global system into subsystems. For each subsystem, the rest of the system's impact is considered disturbances, whose influence must be minimized. The proposed disturbance rejection control algorithm is based on the method of invariant-ellipsoids. Several time-domain scenarios such as connecting and disconnecting a number of DGs, local load changes, and variation of transmission line parameters are executed to assess the suggested controller's effectiveness, using MATLAB /Sim PowerSystems Toolbox. © 2021 The Authors

During the COVID-19 pandemic, medical imaging techniques like computed tomography (CT) scans have demonstrated effectiveness in combating the rapid spread of the virus. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct research on computerized models for the detection of COVID-19 using CT imaging. A novel processing method has been developed, utilizing radiomic features, to assist in the CT-based diagnosis of COVID-19. Given the lower specificity of traditional features in distinguishing between different causes of pulmonary diseases, the objective of this study is to develop a CT-based radiomics framework for the differentiation of COVID-19 from other lung diseases. The model is designed to focus on outlining COVID-19 lesions, as traditional features often lack specificity in this aspect. The model categorizes images into three classes: COVID-19, non-COVID-19, or normal. It employs enhancement auto-segmentation principles using intensity dark channel prior (IDCP) and deep neural networks (ALS-IDCP-DNN) within a defined range of analysis thresholds. A publicly available dataset comprising COVID-19, normal, and non-COVID-19 classes was utilized to validate the proposed model's effectiveness. The best performing classification model, Residual Neural Network with 50 layers (Resnet-50), attained an average accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score of 98.8%, 99%, 98%, and 98% respectively. These results demonstrate the capability of our model to accurately classify COVID-19 images, which could aid radiologists in diagnosing suspected COVID-19 patients. Furthermore, our model's performance surpasses that of more than 10 current state-of-the-art studies conducted on the same dataset. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

A count of crowds tries to determine the total number of persons in crowded places in order to avoid disruption of the safety system and maintain crowd safety. Accurate estimation of the size of crowds is a challenging process because of numerous challenges like occlusion, complicated backgrounds, varying sizes, uneven distribution, alteration of lighting, and adaptable weather. In this study, we propose a solution to two crowd counting challenges: poor weather such as rain and image scaling. We investigate crowd counting in the rainy Shanghai-Tec images. We adopt the GAN-U-Net de-raining model and the SAS-Net [1] and SGA-Net [2] crowd-counting models in our study. © 2023 IEEE.
