In this article, a system has been designed using the Internet of Things and machine learning to detect equipment theft, monitor the entry and exit of people, as well as monitor people's activities to prevent equipment theft and provide security to the environment against possible theft. By using the motion detection sensor and the push buttons installed on the entrance doors, the entry and movement of people are monitored in real-time. Then, with machine vision and image processing algorithms, known and unknown people are cleaned and if necessary, a warning message including the video of the person's presence in the environment along with the person's image is sent to the relevant official. Also, the security doors will be locked until the relevant official confirms the safe situation. © 2023 IEEE.

The escalating reliance on biometric systems for identity verification underscores the imperative for robust data protection mechanisms. Biometric authentication, leveraging unique biological and behavioral characteristics, offers unparalleled precision in individual identification. However, the integrity and confidentiality of biometric data remain paramount concerns, given its susceptibility to compromise. This research delineates the development and implementation of an innovative framework for cancellable biometrics, focusing on facial and fingerprint recognition. This study introduces a novel cancellable biometrics framework that integrates graph theory encryption with three-dimensional chaotic logistic mapping. The methodology encompasses a multifaceted approach: initially employing graph theory for the secure and efficient encryption of biometric data, subsequently enhanced by the complexity and unpredictability of three-dimensional chaotic logistic mapping. This dual-layered strategy ensures the robustness of the encryption, thereby significantly elevating the security of biometric data against unauthorized access and potential compromise. Thus, the resulting cancellable biometrics, characterized by the ability to transform biometric data into an adjustable representation, addresses critical challenges in biometric security. It allows for the revocation and reissuance of biometric credentials, thereby safeguarding the original biometric characteristics of individuals. This feature not only enhances user privacy and data security but also introduces a dynamic aspect to biometric authentication, facilitating adaptability across diverse systems and applications. Preliminary evaluations of the proposed framework demonstrate a marked improvement in the security of face and fingerprint recognition systems. Shadow extraction and elimination is essential for intelligent transportation systems(ITS)in vehicle tracking *** shadow is the source of error for vehicle detection,which causes misclassification of vehicles and a high false alarm rate in the research of vehicle counting,vehicle detection,vehicle tracking,and *** of the existing research is on shadow extraction of moving vehicles in high intensity and on standard datasets,but the process of extracting shadows from moving vehicles in low light of real scenes is *** real scenes of vehicles dataset are generated by self on the Vadodara–Mumbai highway during periods of poor illumination for shadow extraction of moving vehicles to address the above *** paper offers a robust shadow extraction of moving vehicles and its elimination for vehicle *** method is distributed into two phases:In the first phase,we extract foreground regions using a mixture of Gaussian model,and then in the second phase,with the help of the Gamma correction,intensity ratio,negative transformation,and a combination of Gaussian filters,we locate and remove the shadow region from the foreground *** to the outcomes proposed method with outcomes of an existing method,the suggested method achieves an average true negative rate of above 90%,a shadow detection rate SDR(η%),and a shadow discrimination rate SDR(ξ%)of 80%.Hence,the suggested method is more appropriate for moving shadow detection in real scenes.

In recent years, Digital Twin (DT) has gained significant interestfrom academia and industry due to the advanced in information technology,communication systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing (CC),and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The main concept of the DT isto provide a comprehensive tangible, and operational explanation of anyelement, asset, or system. However, it is an extremely dynamic taxonomydeveloping in complexity during the life cycle that produces a massive amountof engendered data and information. Likewise, with the development of AI,digital twins can be redefined and could be a crucial approach to aid theInternet of Things (IoT)-based DT applications for transferring the data andvalue onto the Internet with better decision-making. Therefore, this paperintroduces an efficient DT-based fault diagnosis model based on machinelearning (ML) tools. In this framework, the DT model of the machine isconstructed by creating the simulation model. In the proposed framework,the Genetic algorithm (GA) is used for the optimization task to improvethe classification accuracy. Furthermore, we evaluate the proposed faultdiagnosis framework using performance metrics such as precision, accuracy,F-measure, and recall. The proposed framework is comprehensively examinedusing the triplex pump fault diagnosis. The experimental results demonstratedthat the hybrid GA-ML method gives outstanding results compared to MLmethods like LogisticRegression (LR), Na飗e Bayes (NB), and SupportVectorMachine (SVM). The suggested framework achieves the highest accuracyof 95% for the employed hybrid GA-SVM. The proposed framework willeffectively help industrial operators make an appropriate decision concerningthe fault analysis for IIoT applications in the context of Industry 4.0.

The high performance of IoT technology in transportation networks has led to the increasing adoption of Internet of Vehicles(IoV)*** functional advantages of IoV include online communication services,accident prevention,cost reduction,and enhanced traffic *** these benefits,IoV technology is susceptible to cyber-attacks,which can exploit vulnerabilities in the vehicle network,leading to perturbations,disturbances,non-recognition of traffic signs,accidents,and vehicle *** paper reviews the state-of-the-art achievements and developments in applying Deep Transfer Learning(DTL)models for Intrusion Detection Systems in the Internet of Vehicles(IDS-IoV)based on anomaly ***-IoV leverages anomaly detection through machine learning and DTL techniques to mitigate the risks posed by *** systems can autonomously create specific models based on network data to differentiate between regular traffic and *** these techniques,transfer learning models are particularly promising due to their efficacy with tagged data,reduced training time,lower memory usage,and decreased computational *** evaluate DTL models against criteria including the ability to transfer knowledge,detection rate,accurate analysis of complex data,and *** review highlights the significant progress made in the field,showcasing how DTL models enhance the performance and reliability of IDS-IoV *** examining recent advancements,we provide insights into how DTL can effectively address cyber-attack challenges in IoV environments,ensuring safer and more efficient transportation networks.

A new 17-level inverter using a couple of coupled inductors is presented in this paper. In the proposed structure, the current and voltage ratings of the switches are lower than the output rated current and voltage, respectively. The proposed inverter using a smaller number of components offers higher number of output voltage levels so that switches with lower current and voltage ratings are used and so resulting in the improved quality of output voltage and current waveforms considerably. Also, the other features of proposed structure are laid out in the comprehensive comparison with other structures in this paper that all these features in general cause to decrease the volume, cost and losses of the proposes inverter and highlighting the advantages of the proposed topology. © 2024 IEEE.

In addition to its use in building and agriculture, global solar irradiance is one of the most critical aspects in designing and considering any solar station's volume. Because the Iraqi metrological organization and seismology lack exact information regarding irradiance, this project aims to use historical global data, develop numerical analysis using artificial neural networks, and forecast hourly irradiance. The test is run over Basra to determine references to their nearest places. The learning technique in this study is a forward neural network (FNN) and time series neural network. Their comparison depends on seven input variables: temperature, wind speed, wind direction, sunshine duration, and date. One of the most essential integrated and impactful events for managing the system of new and renewable energy sources in the power grid is accurate solar energy forecasting. The study offers a valuable method for forecasting solar energy generation using neural networks. It is difficult to apply neural networks to anticipate PV power generation because of the unpredictability of variations in the weather;unlike traditional mathematical models, which struggle to handle complicated nonlinear interactions and provide poor predictions, neural network approaches achieve superior prediction performance. The suggested forecasting model based on neural networks provides a practical means of raising the accuracy of PV generation estimation. © 2024 IEEE.
