This study presents an Epsilon Mu near-zero(EMNZ)nanostructured metamaterial absorber(NMMA)for visible regime *** resonator and dielectric layers are made of tungsten(W)and quartz(fused),where the working band is expanded by changing the resonator layer’s *** to perfect impedance matching with plasmonic resonance characteristics,the proposed NMMA structure is achieved an excellent absorption of 99.99%at 571 THz,99.50%at 488.26 THz,and 99.32%at 598 THz *** absorption mechanism is demonstrated by the theory of impedance,electric field,and power loss density distributions,*** geometric parameters are explored and analyzed to show the structure’s performance,and a near-field pattern is used to explain the absorption mechanism at the resonance frequency *** numerical analysis method describes that the proposed structure exhibited more than 80%absorbability between 550 and 900 *** computer Simulation Technology(CST Microwave Studio 2019)software is used to design the proposed ***,CSTHFSS interference is validated by the simulation data with the help of the finite element method(FEM).The proposed NMMA structure is also exhibits glucose concentration sensing capability as *** the proposed broadband absorber may have a potential application in THz sensing,imaging(MRI,thermal,color),solar energy harvesting,light modulators,and optoelectronic devices.

The enhancement of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) is required to ensure protection of network resources and services. This is a hot research topic, especially in the presence of advanced intrusions and attacks. This paper provides a comparison between Distributed Cumulative Histogram (DCH) as a Feature Selection (FS) technique, Information Gain Ratio (IGR) FS and wrapper-based FS in terms of accuracy and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The utilization of DCH of the traffic instances in normal and attack cases allows us to compare the traffic charts. We can observe the difference between effective features and less effective ones. We verify the feasibility of using DCH as an FS technique in the field of anomaly detection with just six selected features giving more accurate results with most classifiers compared to the IGR and wrapper-based FS. We applied our experiments on the modern UNSW dataset with the WEKA simulation platform that contains a group of classification, feature reduction and selection techniques. © The Author(s) 2024.

Comprehensive analysis and improvement of adenocarcinoma images are essential for efficient medical diagnosis and treatment strategy. This study analyses the performance of three contrast enhancement techniques-H-Butterworth filtering, Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), and Histogram Equalization (HE). H-Butterworth filters enhance high-frequency components, which are ideal for emphasizing intricate structures, while CLAHE adapts locally to improve contrast without compromising global image characteristics. HE globally redistributes pixel intensities to enhance overall brightness and contrast, albeit potentially introducing artifacts. Using qualitative and quantitative analyses, this research systematically compares the efficacy of these methods in enhancing adenocarcinoma images, which are characterized by heterogeneous textures and structures. Findings indicate that H-Butterworth generally achieves superior results with the lowest MSE, the highest PSNR, and the highest SSIM compared to CLAHE and HE in improving overall image quality, especially in full-colour images (RGB). So, H-Butterworth can improve the image of adenocarcinoma. This study provides valuable insights for clinicians and researchers seeking optimal approaches to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes in adenocarcinoma imaging. © 2024 IEEE.

DeepFakes and face image manipulation methods have been widely distributed in the last few years and several techniques have been presented to check the authenticity of the face image and detect manipulation if exists. Most of the available manipulation detection techniques have been successfully applied to reveal one type of manipulation under specific conditions, however, many limitations and challenges can be encountered in this field. To overcome some limitations and challenges, this paper presents a new face image authentication (FIA) scheme based on Multi-Task Cascaded Conventional Neural Networks (MTCNN) and watermarking in Slantlet transform (SLT) domain. The proposed FIA scheme has three main algorithms that are face detection and selection, embedding, and extraction algorithms. Different block sizes have been used to divide the image into non-overlapping blocks followed by classifying them into two groups that are blocks from face area (FA) and blocks from the remaining area (RA) of the image. In the embedding algorithms, the authentication information is generated from FA blocks and embedded in the RA blocks. In the extraction algorithms, the embedded information is extracted from RA blocks and compared with the calculated data from FA blocks to reveal manipulations and localize the manipulated blocks if exist. Extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed FIA scheme for different face images. The experimental work included tests for payload, capacity, visual quality, time complexity, and localization of manipulations. The results proved the efficiency of the proposed scheme in detecting and localizing different face image manipulations such as attributes attacks, retouching attacks, expression swap, face swap, and morphing attacks. In this paper, we propose a system for improving the security of electronic Medical Records (EMRs) in private networks using Blockchain technology. There are currently problems with data integrity in database systems that contain health records. Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are frequently used by amateur organizations to create internal frameworks, which might result in data manipulation in an improper way and unauthorized access. We put up a practical solution for this issue that makes use of Blockchain immutability. Our system depends on HTML forms and NodeJS to store patient-related records in a MySQL database. However, using the secure hashing SHA-256, we store the hash values of the records in blocks rather than the actual records themselves. This method ensures that any unauthorized alterations in the records may be quickly identified by comparing the stored hash value with the actual hash of the data that is obtained from the database. Our system performance analysis, which shows acceptable latency, was done. The Blockchain runs in the background without having a substantial influence on speed, thus the database continues to run quickly. Our system also saves money, because it is designed to be used with a user-programmed Blockchain within private networks. It is offered at no additional cost, and is primarily made to verify data accuracy. For private networks depending on EMR systems, our suggested solution provides improved security, effective performance, and affordability as compared to existing approaches and frameworks. © 2023 IEEE.

Visible light communication(VLC)has a paramount role in industrial implementations,especially for better energy efficiency,high speed-data rates,and low susceptibility to ***,since studies on VLC for industrial implementations are in scarcity,areas concerning illumination optimisation and communication performances demand further *** such,this paper presents a new modelling of light fixture distribution for a warehouse model to provide acceptable illumination and communication *** proposed model was evaluated based on various semi-angles at half power(SAAHP)and different height levels for several parameters,including received power,signal to noise ratio(SNR),and bit error rate(BER).The results revealed improvement in terms of received power and SNR with 30 Mbps data *** modulations were studied to improve the link quality,whereby better average BER values of 5.55×10^(−15) and 1.06×10^(−10) had been achieved with 4 PAM and 8 PPM,*** simulation outcomes are indeed viable for the practical warehouse model.

Advancement in marine vessel stabilization technologies has greatly improved the safety and comfort for crews, cargo, and passengers, while also lowering the risk of capsizing. Marine vessels operating in open waters experience disturbances from unpredictable waves and strong winds, leading to instability and potential accidents. To mitigate these risks, stabilizers are integrated into ships to maintain stability, safety, and seaworthiness. As modern vessels evolve, stabilizers play an increasingly vital role, with gyro stabilizers emerging as a highly effective solution for mitigating roll motion without external appendages. This paper provides a comprehensive review of gyro stabilizer designs and techniques, covering their historical development, mathematical modeling, advantages, limitations, and case studies. A review of current research highlights a strong emphasis on simulating gyro stabilizer control systems, demonstrating their potential in enhancing vessel stability. However, key challenges persist, including accurate wave moment prediction during the design phase and gyroscopic drift, which can impact long-term performance and efficiency. Despite these challenges, recent advancements in control algorithms and optimization techniques have improved gyro stabilizer adaptability under varying sea conditions. By exploring the latest developments, this review serves as a valuable reference for researchers, engineers, and maritime professionals seeking to advance marine stabilization technologies. The findings underscore the potential of next-generation gyro stabilizers, including fiber optic gyros, in achieving higher precision, stability, and operational efficiency. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper, a high-precision three-dimensional (3-D) near-field (NF) localization method is proposed under an underdetermined case based on a symmetric enhanced nested array (SENA). Firstly, the symmetry of the array and the fourth-order cumulant (FOC) are utilized to construct the equivalent virtual far-field (FF) reception data. Then, a gridless sparse and parametric approach (SPA), combined with an l1-SVD based pairing procedure, is used to obtain estimates for two paired angles. Finally, a one-dimensional (1-D) spectral estimator is applied to obtain the estimate of range parameter. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2025 IEEE.

Automatic Speaker Identification (ASI) is so crucial for security. Current ASI systems perform well in quiet and clean surroundings. However, in noisy situations, the robustness of an ASI system against additive noise and interference is a crucial factor. An investigation of the impact of interference on ASI system performance is presented in this paper, which introduces algorithms for achieving high ASI system performance. The objective is to resist the interference of various forms. This paper presents two models for the ASI task in the presence of interference. The first one depends on Normalized Pitch Frequency (NPF) and Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as extracted features and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) as a classifier. In this model, we investigate the utilization of a Discrete Transform (DT), such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Sine Transform (DST), to increase the robustness of extracted features against different types of degradation through exploiting the sub-band decomposition characteristics of DWT and the energy compaction property of DCT and DST. This is achieved by extracting features directly from contaminated speech signals in addition to features extracted from discrete transformed signals to create hybrid feature vectors. The enhancement techniques, such as Spectral Subtraction (SS), Winer Filter, and adaptive Wiener filter, are used in a preprocessing stage to eliminate the effect of the interference on the ASI system. In the second model, we investigate the utilization of Deep Learning (DL) based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with speech signal spectrograms and their Radon transforms to increase the robustness of the ASI system against interference effects.
