This paper presents Lyapunov-function based control technique for a grid-connected five-level active neutral point clamped flying capacitor (ANPC-FC) inverter with LCL filter. The control technique used in this study ensures global stability of the closed-loop system and almost zero steady-state error in the grid current. A proportional resonant (PR) controller is also employed in the control scheme to generate the required reference value for the inverter current. In addition, a simple phase shift pulse width modulation (PSPWM) technique is used for resolving voltage imbalances between dc-link capacitors and floating capacitors without the use of complicated circuitry or sensors. Simulation results validate the performance of the proposed system. Studies conducted at steady state and in dynamic mode demonstrate excellent results.

With the rapid development of the satellite industry, the information transmission network based on communication satellites has gradually become a major and important part of the future satellite ground integration network. However, the low transmission efficiency of the satellite data relay back mission has become a problem that is currently constraining the construction of the system and needs to be solved urgently. Effectively planning the task of satellite ground networking by reasonably scheduling resources is crucial for the efficient transmission of task data. In this paper, we hope to provide a task execution scheme that maximizes the profit of the networking task for satellite ground network planning considering feeding mode (SGNPFM). To solve the SGNPFM problem, a mixed-integer planning model with the objective of maximizing the gain of the link-building task is constructed, which considers various constraints of the satellite in the feed-switching mode. Based on the problem characteristics, we propose a distance similarity-based genetic optimization algorithm (DSGA), which considers the state characteristics between the tasks and introduces a weighted Euclidean distance method to determine the similarity between the tasks. To obtain more high-quality solutions, different similarity evaluation methods are designed to assist the algorithm in intelligently screening individuals. The DSGAalso uses an adaptive crossover strategy based on similarity mechanism, which guides the algorithm to achieve efficient population search. In addition, a task scheduling algorithm considering the feed-switching mode is designed for decoding the algorithm to generate a highquality scheme. The results of simulation experiments show that the DSGA can effectively solve the SGNPFM problem. This paper proposes a barrier function-based adaptive control strategy with a nonlinear sliding surface for a class of uncertain dynamic systems with input saturation. Its main objectives are to ensure robustness to parametric and non-parametric uncertainties whilst eliminating the reaching phase. A global nonlinear switching surface is defined and an adaptive barrier function sliding mode control approach is derived. The barrier strategy is adopted to ensure the convergence of the states to the desired values without overestimating the control gains. System stability is analyzed using the Lyapunov stability theory. The control parameters are obtained using the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. The control law is designed to remove the reaching phase. The effectiveness of the proposed approach was validated using a simulation study. The proposed control approach can easily be implemented to various nonlinear uncertain systems. © 2023 THE AUTHORS

Reassembling multiple axially symmetric pots from fragmentary sherds is crucial for cultural heritage preservation, yet it poses significant challenges due to thin and sharp fracture surfaces that generate numerous false positive matches and hinder large-scale puzzle solving. Existing global approaches, which optimize all potential fragment pairs simultaneously or data-driven models, are prone to local minima and face scalability issues when multiple pots are intermixed. Motivated by Structure-from-Motion (SfM) for 3D reconstruction from multiple images, we propose an efficient reassembly method for axially symmetric pots based on iterative registration of one sherd at a time, called Structure-from-Sherds++ (SfS++). Our method extends beyond simple replication of incremental SfM and leverages multi-graph beam search to explore multiple registration paths. This allows us to effectively filter out indistinguishable false matches and simultaneously reconstruct multiple pots without requiring prior information such as base or the number of mixed objects. Our approach achieves 87% reassembly accuracy on a dataset of 142 real fragments from 10 different pots, outperforming other methods in handling complex fracture patterns with mixed datasets and achieving state-of-the-art performance. Combined prosocial incentives, integrating reward for cooperators and punishment for defectors, are effective tools to promote cooperation among competing agents in population games. Existing research concentrated on how to adjust reward or punishment, as two mutually exclusive tools, during the evolutionary process to achieve the desired proportion of cooperators in the population, and less attention has been given to exploring a combined incentive-based control policy that can steer the system to the full cooperation state at the lowest cost. In this work we propose a combined incentive scheme in a population of agents whose conflicting interactions are described by the prisoner's dilemma game on complete graphs and regular networks, respectively. By devising an index function for quantifying the implementation cost of the combined incentives, we analytically construct the optimally combined incentive protocol by using optimal control theory. By means of theoretical analysis, we identify the mathematical conditions, under which the optimally combined incentive scheme requires the minimal amount of cost. In addition to numerical calculations, we further perform computer simulations to verify our theoretical results and explore their robustness on different types of network structures. Essential proteins play an essential role in cell survival and replication. Currently, more and more computational methods are developed to identify essential proteins, which overcome the time-consuming, costly and inefficient shortcomings with biological experimental methods. In order to improve the recognition rate, some new methods by fusing multiple features are developed, but they seldom consider the connection among features. After analyzing a large number of methods based on multi-feature fusion, a weak consensus model to fuse features is proposed in this paper. Then, this paper uses the weak consensus model to fuse protein-protein interaction network, gene expression data, and orthologous data, thus proposing a new method, WOL. Then experiments are performed on one *** dataset. The results show that compared with WDC, PeC, ION, JDC, NCCO and E_POC, WOL has a higher recognition rate.

Aiming at single modality video emotion recognition of face or body is easily affected by occlusion, angle deflection, and low emotional intensity, we propose an emotion recognition method based on guided fusion of facial expression and bodily posture (GF-FB). Firstly, Resnet50 and DNN are used to obtain intra-frame facial texture vector and bodily skeleton vector. Meanwhile, the whole-body geometric feature captured by the transformer encoder, is guided to obtain facial enhancement vector and bodily enhancement vector by the vectors of two modalities, respectively. Then, an inter-frame time encoder is designed to describe spatio-temporal features of facial enhancement sequence and bodily enhancement sequence. Finally, the heterogeneous features adaptive fusion module is constructed to realize the weight allocation of facial enhancement branch and bodily enhancement branch. Experimental results on the BabyRobot Emotion Dataset show that the accuracy of proposed method reaches 78.22%, which is 6.22% higher than baseline network.

Breaking safety constraints in control systems can lead to potential risks, resulting in unexpected costs or catastrophic damage. Nevertheless, uncertainty is ubiquitous, even among similar tasks. In this paper, we develop a novel adaptive safe control framework that integrates meta learning, Bayesian models, and control barrier function (CBF) method. Specifically, with the help of CBF method, we learn the inherent and external uncertainties by a unified adaptive Bayesian linear regression (ABLR) models, which consists of a forward neural network (NN) and a Bayesian output layer. Meta learning techniques are leveraged to pre-train the NN weights and priors of the ABLR model using data collected from historical similar tasks. For a new control task, we refine the meta-learned models using a few samples, and introduce pessimistic confidence bounds into CBF constraints to ensure safe control. Moreover, we provide theoretical criteria to guarantee probabilistic safety during the control processes. To validate our approach, we conduct comparative experiments in various obstacle avoidance scenarios. The results demonstrate that our algorithm significantly improves the Bayesian model-based CBF method, and is capable for efficient safe exploration even with multiple uncertain constraints. A linear fiber laser system for measurements of paracetamol concentration is experimentally demonstrated. The cavity is based on a fiber loop mirror and an FBG centered at 1567.8 nm. The sensing head corresponds to a refractometric sensor, whose which principle of operation is based on Fresnel reflection in the fiber tip (FBG side). The system works at detected variations of paracetamol concentrations with a sensitivity of $[(8.74\pm 0.34)\times 10^{-5}]\ \ \mu \mathrm{W}/(\mathrm{g}/\text{kg})$ and a resolution of 2.77 g/kg. The results prove that the fiber laser system could be an asset for processing industries, specifically for non-invasive and real-time measurements of concentration.
