This paper is concerned with the problem of finite-time H_∞ control for a class of discrete-time Markovian jump nonlinear systems with time delays represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model. First, by using fuzzy stochastic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are derived such that the resulting close-loop system is stochastic finite-time bounded and satisfies a prescribed H_∞ disturbance attenuation level in a given finite-time interval. Second, sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time H_∞ stabilization via fuzzy state feedback are provided, and the fuzzy state feedback controller is designed by solving an optimization problem in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the validity of the proposed designed techniques.

the aim of this paper consists on presenting a novel approach of vector control of an induction motor based on the approach of fuzzy modelling proposed by Ben-Glalia. In fact, the authors introduce here and for the first time the fuzzy modelling technique of Ben-Ghalia et al. in order to conceive a simple reverse model which to replace the bloc of FOC and ensure more robustness towards parameter variations and uncertainties which represent the inconvenient of the vector control technique. The objective of such a reverse fuzzy model is to improve the robustness of the vector control scheme towards parameter's variations and external disturbances. Unfortunately, in practice this is not checked because of uncertainties in the model. The simulation results show that the two control schemes provide in their basic configuration, comparable performances regarding the decoupling, however the choice for the fuzzy vector control appears advantageous of point of view robustness.

This paper discusses coordination of in-home charging aimed to improve load factor and reduce cost of consumed energy. The algorithm of coordinated charging is based on prediction of household appliances load profile and used to control the electric vehicle battery charger. The simulation has been conducted to verify the proposed algorithm.

Copyright protection and authentication have become increasingly more important in daily life. The digital watermark is one of the techniques invented to tackle this issue. In this paper, a digitally invisible watermark is embedded in a QR code image by means of wavelet transform. In the embedding process, a binary image, logo, is transformed into a corresponding watermark and then embeded into a selected subband. The experimental results illustrated that, for all the cases considered in this paper is more robustness to attacks and as such it can serve as a viable copyright protection and authentication tool.

AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) is a part of the synchronous generator and it is responsible for regulating the reactive power and voltage level under normal operating terms at different load levels. Research and developments of in-wheel motors applied in pure electric vehicles (EVs) propulsion systems have attracted great attention recently. This is due to their definite advantages of great controllability for each independent wheel as well as the availability of more cabin space due to removal of conventional mechanical transmission and differential gears. Moreover, more series batteries can be installed to increase the driving distance. Since the motors are attached directly to the wheel, the major requirements are to have high torque density and efficiency. As one of alternative candidates with high torque possibility, a new design of outer-rotor hybrid excitation flux switching motor for in-wheel drive EV is proposed in this paper. The proposed motor consists of 12 slots of stator poles, and 10 rotor poles, with all active parts are located on the stator. In addition, it has a robust rotor structure which only comprises a single piece of rotor and has a wide range flux control capabilities. Under some design restrictions and specifications for the target EV drive applications, the performance of the proposed machine on the initial design and improved design are analyzed based on 2-D finite element analysis (FEA). The performance of the improved design motor shows that the maximum torque achieved is 81.5% of the target performance, whereas the maximum power has achieved 143.6 kW which is greater than the target value. Thus, by further design refinement and optimization it is expected that the motor will successfully achieve the target performances.
