In this paper, controller for a human brachial artery system prototype is formulated with respect to a static model. Operational procedure of the designed prototype has been highlighted. Because of linearity of the designed system, major components (pump and shaker) are considered autonomously during preliminary analysis. Ziegler - Nichols tuning methods and pole placement scheme have been utilized to calculate the controller parameter values. At the concluding stage, the computed values for pump and shaker are combined to denote the overall response of the system. Simulation results have been presented to verify the correctness of the utilized techniques. It has been concluded from obtained results that the determined controller parameter values for both pump and shaker are more than satisfactory for all three typical test inputs.

A safe can be made safely by making it key-free. Such a safe can be opened by recognizing the owner's palmprint features only. A new method based on wavelet transform is proposed according to the palmprint line direction and space frequency. A support vector machine classifier is formed by combining radial basis of functions(RBF) kernel with polynomials kernel to significantly improve the rate of recognition. Simulation tests demonstrated satisfactory operation of the key-free safe.

Hybrid CMOS/memristor memory (hybrid memory)technology is one of the emerging memory technologies potentially to replace conventional non-volatile flash memory. Existing research on such novel circuits focuses mainly on the integration between CMOS and non-CMOS, fabrication techniques and reliability improvement. However, research on defect analysis for yield and quality improvement is still in its infancy stage. This paper presents a framework of defect oriented testing in hybrid memory based on electrical simulation. First, a classification and definition of defects is introduced. Second, a simulation model for defect injection and circuit simulation is proposed. Third, a case study to illustrate how the proposed approach can be used to analyze the defects and translate their electrical faulty behavior into fault models - in order to develop the appropriate tests and design for testability schemes - is provided. The simulation results show that in addition to the occurrence of conventional semiconductor memories faults, new unique faults take place, e.g., faults that cause the cell to hold an undefined state. These new unique faults require new test approaches (e.g., DfT) in order to be able to detect them.

We present a fast method for locating iris features in frontal face images based on the Hough transform. The aim of this work is to detect the circles surrounding the exterior iris pattern from a set of facial images. The circular Hough transform is used for this purpose, a first edge detection technique is used for finding the edges in the input image. After the characteristics points of circles are detected and drawn this last on the original image then, the pattern of the iris is extracted.
