To ensure smooth, continuous, and precise motion of lower limb exoskeleton robots, this paper proposes a 6-5-6 polynomial trajectory planning method (6-5-6 PTPM) that combines 5th and 6th polynomials. By imposing corresponding kinematic constraints, this method achieves the trajectory plan of seven sub-phases of the gait cycle on the kinematic model of the lower limb exoskeleton robot. The simulation is conducted and compared to the 4-3-4 polynomial trajectory planning method (4-3-4 PTPM). The comparison results indicate that the 6-5-6 PTPM is shown to have a lower error between the planned trajectory and the actual trajectory. Additionally, it avoids spikes of the acceleration curve that existed in the 4-3-4 polynomial method. The proposed method enables the acceleration curve smoother and mechanical impact lessened, which demonstrates the feasibility and stability of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

Electric vehicles (EVs) have been a trend in terms of transportation for a decade because of the energy transition. However, as the number of EVs increases, various problems related to the power quality, such as voltage and load profile, arise. To reduce the negative impact of EV charging, several solutions are suggested, with the integration of renewable energy sources into the charging station combined with Vehicle-to-Grid technology. This paper presents an algorithm to minimize the charging cost of all EVs and flatten the load curve, considering the travel schedule of EV owners and voltage constraints in the power grid.

This article introduces an innovative platform for microgrids (MGs) that enables active energy trading both with the main power grid and directly among MGs. By facilitating Peer-to-Peer (P2P) energy trading, the proposed platform ensures mutually beneficial outcomes, particularly in the presence of advanced energy resources such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESSs) and Demand Response Programs (DRPs). From the perspective of power systems, P2P energy trading enhances local energy balancing and promotes self-sufficiency within MG networks. Unlike traditional noncooperative game models, where participants act independently, this study adopts a cooperative game approach that aligns with the autonomous and self-interested nature of MGs. Numerical simulations validate the effectiveness of the platform, demonstrating that MGs can engage in energy trading while achieving economic benefits. Fur-thermore, the platform determines optimal pricing and energy trading volumes, ensuring that participants gain measurable eco-nomic advantages in the P2P market. Additionally, technologies such as BESSs and DRPs significantly enhance energy sharing among MGs, thereby improving overall system efficiency and sustainability.

An increased growth in the blood cancer necessitates the development of efficient, cost effective, timely, and accurate diagnosis. Traditional diagnosis methods are often invasive, expensive and time-consuming. The rapid artificial intelligence (AI) assistive advancement in the digital healthcare permits the realization of effective solutions in this framework. Specifically, the deep learning (DL), seems promising in an automated diagnosis. However, still a critical gap needs to be covered by understanding that which DL architecture performs better for the blood cancer detection. To address this crucial need, this paper presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the key DL methods, used in an automated categorization of the blood cancer. The considered DL architectures are the MobileNetV2, DenseNet121, VGG16, ResNet50, and Inception *** applicability is tested using two blood cancer datasets namely the Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) dataset and American Society of Hematology (ASH) dataset. Each model is meticulously trained and evaluated on the ALL dataset for binary classification and the ASH image bank for multi-class classification. The categorization performance is evaluated based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, and latency. Results have shown an out performance of the MobileNetV2 compared to the counter DL architectures with a mean accuracy of 91.26%, precision of 92.94%, recall of 91.27%, F1 score of 90.58% and latency of 104.16 mins for ALL dataset and 88.11 accuracy, 90.23% precision, recall of88.11 %, 87.98% F1 score and latency of 11.16 mins for ASH dataset.

Covert communication can hide confidential signals in environmental noise to avoid being detected and provide comprehensive security for wireless transmission. However, there still exists significant risks in the wireless transmission once being detected. In this paper, we propose a more secure covert scheme, where a multiple antennas transmitter assisted by a multi-antenna UAV jammer maximizes the covert secrecy rate under the scenarios of both correct and incorrect detection by a warden with both error detection probability and eavesdropping rate limitations satisfied. The transmitter and jammer adopt maximum ratio transmission (MRT) and zero-forcing to maximize the transmission rate and minimize the interference at the receiver, respectively. First, we analyze the monotonicity of error detection probability to determine the optimal power detection threshold and the corresponding largest error detection probability. Then, under this worst case, we jointly optimize the transmit and jamming power to maximize the covert secrecy rate while guaranteeing the covert and eavesdropping limits meet their respective requirements. Finally, simulation results are presented to prove the correctness of the theoretical conclusion and evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.

Chulalongkorn University is the premier university in Thailand, and its memorial hall is a historical landmark that showcases the prestigious history and accomplishments of the university. As a result of coronavirus-related closures, the number of visitors who were able to visit this memorial was drastically lower over the last two years, and some relics were prohibited from being visited and appreciated as well. As a solution to these problems, a virtual tour using metaverse technology is described in this paper;specifically, the memorial hall is modeled digitally using three-dimensional (3D) models, and users can observe the virtual museum environment and perform various activities virtually. A mechanism called the multiplayer approach is adopted, where several visitors can enjoy the museum's tour simultaneously by using our web-based metaverse. An activity-based environment is created where the visitors can play the piano, find ancient items hidden inside the museum, and get a reward upon successful completion of the task. It is believed that this virtual tour will meet a visitor's needs while at the same time safeguarding priceless cultural and historical artifacts and other sources of knowledge. © 2023 IEEE.

This work outlines the development and evaluation of reflectarray antenna unit cells that resonate at a frequency of 28 GHz designed for mm-wave 5G communication systems. The study explores the use of various element forms as the unit cell design and analysis process. The research seeks to enhance the performance of the antenna by examining the impact of different parameters on bandwidth, reflection loss, and reflection phase characteristics. It has been demonstrated that the reflection loss can be used to characterize the reflectarray loss and bandwidth properties while the phase curves can be used for the analysis of phase errors as well as bandwidth of reflectarray antennas. Moreover, the study also provides a technique to obtain progressive phase distribution which is required to transform the unit cells into a periodic array.

This work provides an investigation for the design and analysis of frequency-switching planar reflecting surface unit cells designed in X-band and Ku-band frequency ranges. Slot and gap-embedded configurations have been proposed to obtain optimum reflection phase performance from the unit cells. The proposed design also helps to minimize the mutual coupling in the array environment. A PIN diode has been attached to the patch surface of each unit cell for frequency switching. Various design parameters have been investigated in order to study their effect on the performance of proposed unit cell designs. Based on the frequency variation using PIN diodes frequency tunability of 0.43 GHz and 0.35 GHz have been demonstrated for X-band and Ku-band frequency ranges.

By analyzing large amounts of animal behavior data, humans can assess cattle’s condition. It leads to research and development a field using accelerometers and machine learning algorithms to ‘study’ behavior from acceleration data. It is challenging to analyze animal behavior due to the activity complexity. For example, acceleration data of some cow behaviors (e.g., feeding and standing) are similar if these behaviors contain similar gestures. In practical, real-time applications even bring more challenging since it is necessary to minimize a data window for behavior consideration. Using short data window often reduces the performance of classification algorithms. This study proposes a new solution for the mentioned challenges by combining neck-mounted and leg-mounted accelerometers, then using the vector of the dynamic body acceleration (VeDBA) and Mean features of synchronized acceleration data for the Decision Tree algorithm. The proposed method is demonstrated that performs well (0.94 accuracy, 0.91 sensitivity, 0.90 positive predictive value) within a low computational complexity algorithm and short data window (3-second data window, at the rate of one sample per second). A 2-element microstrip multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with circular polarization (CP) diversity is reported for 5G wireless applications in the sub-6 GHz band. The MIMO configuration in a single layer consisting of two square-shaped radiating elements, each with two input ports, is implemented on a shared ground surface. The attainment of CP diversity is facilitated by incorporating a 90º branch-line coupler (BLC) inside the feed network. The generation of a ±90º out-of-phase signal, which is utilized to excite left-hand CP (LHCP) and right-hand CP (RHCP) signals by means of orthogonal feed lines of each patch, is achieved by employing a 90º BLC. Additionally, enhanced isolation can be attained by implementing a T-shaped slot on the shared ground plane using a defective-ground approach positioned between two antenna elements. For LHCP/RHCP, a measured 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 4.81% is obtained. Moreover, a satisfactory CP radiation performance is attained in the operating frequency of 3.45–3.62 GHz. In addition, the measured envelope correlation coefficient exhibits a value below 0.01, indicating enhanced performance in MIMO applications.
