Over recent years, a new technology named VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks) is highly recommended in smart cities and especially in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The VANET technology relies on the nodes acting like cars without the necessity for any controller or central base station by creating a wireless link among them. It enables cars to send and receive information between themselves and their environment. most VANETs utilize position-based routing protocols because they contain a GPS device. To deal with VANET problems, one solution is Geographic Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) which has been broadly implemented. This paper suggests an effective intelligent fuzzy logic control system;called the FL-QN GPSR routing protocol. The proposed routing protocol incorporates two metrics link quality, and neighbor node to detect the best next-hop node for packet forwarding also updates the format of the Hello message by adding the direction field to be more suitable to our simulation. The OMNeT++ and SUMO simulation tools are both used in parallel to examine the VANET environment. The obtained results of the four simulation experiments in urban environments indicate substantial improvements in the network performance compared to the traditional GPSR and AODV concerning the QoS parameters. © 2021 IEEE.

This study examines the operational efficiency and stability of a hybrid-AC/DC microgrid integrated with renewable energy sources, addressing the need for sustainable power systems. Using the IEEE 14-bus system simulated in MATLAB/Simulink, it assesses microgrid performance under various load conditions, focusing on energy distribution and power quality. The research hypothesizes that advanced energy storage systems within microgrids smooth demand peaks, maintaining voltage stability between 0.9pu and 1pu, and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) consistently below 5%. Analysis includes active and reactive power distributions, demand profiles, power losses, power factors, voltage levels, and harmonic distortions. Results show the hybrid microgrid maintains operational stability and efficiently manages power, with minor power quality variations during peak demand. Significant power losses were observed in low-voltage bus lines, especially lines 2 and 4, peaking at nearly 1.8kW/phase. This study offers valuable insights for designing efficient power systems, highlighting the importance of hybrid-microgrids in sustainable energy infrastructures.

To meet the requirements of lower limb exoskeleton robots for lightweight equipment and accurate gait phase detection under different speeds, the kinematics and dynamics information are investigated. In this paper, we propose a novel radius-margin-based supporting vector machine (SVM) model with particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) in feature space called PSO-F-SVM for gait phase detection. The proposed method considers both the maximization of margin and the minimization of radius and uses PSO to optimize the parameter in F-SVM, which can enhance the performance of the SVM classifier. Plantar pressure insoles with flexible and elastic sensors are designed for gait feature measurement. We conduct comparative experiments between the proposed method and other variants of SVM under four speeds. The experimental result indicates that the proposed method improves the accuracy by 2.68% compared with the standard SVM. Moreover, more than 98% accuracy can be obtained at four speeds, which demonstrates that the proposed method outperforms the other variants of SVM. © 2023 IEEE.

Essential proteins play an essential role in cell survival and replication. Currently, more and more computational methods are developed to identify essential proteins, which overcome the time-consuming, costly and inefficient shortcomings with biological experimental methods. In order to improve the recognition rate, some new methods by fusing multiple features are developed, but they seldom consider the connection among features. After analyzing a large number of methods based on multi-feature fusion, a weak consensus model to fuse features is proposed in this paper. Then, this paper uses the weak consensus model to fuse protein-protein interaction network, gene expression data, and orthologous data, thus proposing a new method, WOL. Then experiments are performed on one *** dataset. The results show that compared with WDC, PeC, ION, JDC, NCCO and E_POC, WOL has a higher recognition rate. © 2023 IEEE.

Several organizations started to adopt the strategy to have data scientist professionals to help them identify the true value of the cost vs benefits and since data science is on fire for a quite long time, adopting the same comes in handy for several factors. i.e., investment, net profit, etc. At the same time, the clarity is missing around what data science is and this tends to introduce the concept of unambiguous theory or assumptions. In this research, we are aiming to pin down the fact of what data science is and how it can lead to crucial decision-making using a data-driven approach. We firmly believe that the accurate limitations of data science scope cannot be defined due to its vast possibilities. If the business wants to align themselves using the data science by understanding the true potential, the following needs to be underlined: 1) understand the importance of related concepts using the relationship approach, 2) identify how fundamental principles of data science can be useful for the different business use case, 3) Identify what the data science can offer depending on our requirement. This paper present the network design and capacity planning of access point (AP) deployment for indoor positioning system. The estimation of WiFi distance is described briefly how to measure the signal strength of AP. Co-channel interference is a key for network design of access point installation for network capacity. The objective function for network capacity planning of AP deployment is to optimize the number of access point and location for indoor positioning system concerning with the minimized co-channel interference. Simulations are tested to install AP for lecture hall in university. Capacity planning design of wireless AP deployment is proposed for indoor position systems in terms of the received signal strength indications (RSSI). We assume the situation is supported for the crowded conference. The requirement of the results of wireless AP positioning in crowded conference rooms are placing the wireless AP in forms of overlap the signal in order to get the strong signal. Experimental results have been tested their received signal of WiFi APs with the 2.4GHz frequency using the receiver installed in laptops to check the signal. The empirical results shown that the strength of RSSI will be received a signal of -44 dBm at a distance of approximately 20 meters. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, a flexible wearable antenna based on uniform circular array of four identical microstrip patch antennas on a felt textile substrate was designed to generate multiple orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes. The proposed antenna was simulated and analyzed to confirm the generation of OAM mode +1 and −1. The concept of reconfigurable method with 16 p-i-n diodes was implemented for the switching purpose. The proposed antenna covered overall bandwidth above 700 MHz for both the modes in free space while the obtained gain by mode 1 was 1.981 dBi and mode −1 was 1.993 dBi. Moreover, the mode purity analysis was carried out to verify the generation of OAM mode +1 and −1 with acceptable SAR value. The purity obtained was 47.78% for mode +1 and 47.91% for mode −1 at free space. This study shows that using textile antennas for modal multiplexing to produce multimode OAM waves is feasible in order to increase channel capacity and spectrum efficiency.

Green cellular communications are becoming an important approach due to large-scale and complex radio networks. Due to the dynamic cellular network behaviors related to interference distribution, traffic bottlenecks, congestion points, and hotspots, there is a need to evaluate the dynamic processes in cellular systems in addition to ensuring spectrum availability. The delay, loss rate, and SNR are the most issues that may affect cellular communication performance. Artificial intelligent algorithms such as machine learning (ML) enable to detection of the dynamics in cellular networks by analyzing the complex cellular network processes and evaluating the spectrum and links qualities. It enables the extraction of spectrum knowledge from the network autonomously. The extracted information helps to know about every dynamic change in wireless parameters, related to frequency, modulation, route selection, etc. This paper provides details about the use of ML in green cellular networks to efficiently upgrade the communications and enhances different related approaches including quality of services (QoS), signal traffic load, and energy efficiency, which are critical issues of green cellular communication paradigms. The paper also presents the technical concept of green ML approaches to solve significant problems in cellular communications, in addition to future aspects and considerations for energy consumption minimization using the green ML approach in cellular radio communications. © 2022 IEEE.

A rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) is designed and analyzed in this paper. FR-4 is used as a substrate material, whose dielectric permittivity is 4.3. This antenna is designed and simulated using CST software. Return loss, VSWR, directive gain, and bandwidth are obtained from the given simulation. The results after simulation are return loss, VSWR, directive gain, and bandwidth of -55.7 dB, 1.0032, 6.81 dBi, and 110 MHz, respectively. The main objective of that paper was to increase return loss, bring the VSWR closer to 1, and increase directive gain. This antenna can be used in radars, mobile phones, and wireless LAN applications. © 2022 IEEE.
