Education about health sciences has historically been limited in the curriculum of health professionals and largely inaccessible to the public. In practice, most of the health science education is still running conventionally. Supposedly with the advancement of technology and the use of the internet everywhere, learning such as e-learning can be important, especially in the health sector. Until this research was conducted, only 514 academic documents about e-learning in health sciences were found for 20 years from 2001 to 2020, obtained in searching on the Scopus database. This study presents a comprehensive overview of studies related to E-learning in the Health Sciences sector. This study uses bibliometric analysis and indexed digital methods to map scientific publications throughout the world. This research employs the Scopus database to gather information, as well as the Scopus online analysis tool and Vosviewer to show the bibliometric network. The method consists with five stages: determining search keywords, initial search results, refinement of search results, initial compilation, and data analysis. Among the most published and indexed articles by Scopus, papers published by researchers in the United States have the highest number of publications (80), followed by United Kingdom (63) and Australia with 45 academic publications. The processed data shows the pattern and trend of increasing the number of international publications in E-learning in Health Sciences field, which Scopus index. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. Renewable energy is one of the essential elements of the social and economic development in any civilized *** use of fossil fuels and the non-renewable form of energy has many adverse effects on the most of *** the high potential of renewable energy sources in Yemen and the absence of similar studies in the region,this study aimed to examine the wind energy potential of Hodeidah-Yemen Republic by analyzing wind characteristics and assessment,determining the available power density,and calculate the wind energy extracted at different *** average wind speed of Hodeidah was obtained only for the data currently available for the five years 2005–2009(due to the current economic and the political situation in Yemen).The results show that the average wind speed in the five years is(25.2 W/m2 at 10 m,93.9 W/m2 at 30 m,and 173.5 W/m2 at 50 m).The average yearly wind power density(25.2 W/m2 at 10 m,93.9 W/m2 at 30 m and 173.5 W/m2 at 50m),and the average yearly energy density(220.8 KWh/m2/year at 10 m,822.6 KWh/m2/year at 30 m and 1519.9 KWh/m2/year at 50 m).This research is a preliminary assessment of the potential of wind energy in Hodeidah,which provides useful information for developing wind energy and an efficient wind *** to the International Wind Energy Rating criteria,the region of Hodeidah falls under‘Class 2’and is classified as‘Marginal’for most of the year.

Electric scooters (e-scooters) have emerged as a fundamental component of urban micro-mobility, particularly in European cities during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study employs the Full Consistency Method (FUCOM) and Kendall rank correlation method to assess the preferences and priorities of university students in Catania, Italy, regarding e-scooter adoption. By analyzing influencing factors, this research offers a comprehensive understanding of student attitudes towards e-scooters and their adoption, contributing to strategies for enhancing sustainable urban mobility. The findings highlight significant preferences for factors such as parking ease, portability, and intermodality, while also identifying safety concerns and the need for better integration with public transport. These insights underscore the necessity for targeted improvements in e-scooter infrastructure and policies, aiming to optimize urban mobility and meet the specific needs of potential users. Further research will focus on comparative analysis across different urban settings, investigating addition user-centric factors to capture a more comprehensive view of e-scooter adoption.

Flue gas heat loss accounts for a significant component of theoverall heat loss for coal-fired boilers in power plants. The flue gas absorbsmore heat as the exhaust gas temperature rises, which reduces boiler efficiencyand raises coal consumption. Additionally, if the exhaust gas temperatureis too high, a lot of water must be used to cool the flue gas for the wetflue gas desulfurization system to function well, which has an impact onthe power plant’s ability to operate profitably. It is consequently vital totake steps to lower exhaust gas temperatures in order to increase boilerefficiency and decrease the amount of coal and water used. Desulfurizationperformance may be enhanced and water use can be decreased by reasonableflue gas characteristics at the entry. This study analyzed the unit’s energyconsumption, investment, and coal savings while proposing four couplingstrategies for regulating flue gas temperature and waste heat recovery. Agraded flue gas conditioning and waste heat recovery plan was presentedunder the condition of ensuring high desulfurization efficiency, along withthe notion of minimizing energy loss owing to energy inflow temperaturedifference. Numerical results show that the proposed methods improved thesystem performance and reduced the water consumption and regulated theboiler temperature.

Most near-field (NF) localization algorithms cannot deal with the underdetermined case, while those which can are computationally expensive due to employment of fourth-order cumulants. In this work, a low-complexity solution is provided for underdetermined three-dimensional (3-D) NF localization, by employing second-order statistics with a tailored array configuration named two parallel centrally symmetric unfold coprime (TPSC) array. Its implementation can be divided into three stages. Firstly, the proposed algorithm constructs two cross-correlation matrices based on the received array data, which eliminates the non-linear range-related information of NF signals. Secondly, covariance and vectorization operations are applied to these two cross-correlation matrices to form a virtual array with extended aperture. Finally, the two-dimensional (2-D) angle parameters are estimated by the sparse and parametric approach (SPA) and a phase retrieval operation, and then the one-dimensional (1-D) range parameter is achieved by the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. One specific feature is that the estimated angle and range parameters are matched automatically. An analysis of the properties of the TPSC array is provided, and an optimal parameter configuration is derived, given that the total number of array elements is fixed. Simulation results demonstrate that the designed TPSC array can achieve underdetermined 3-D NF localization, and deliver enhanced estimation capabilities, surpassing those of established algorithms. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

An optimal modulation scheme with triple-phase-shift (TPS) control could increase the efficiency in the entire load range for a dual-active-bridge (DAB) converter under wide output voltage range conditions. Therefore, this study proposes a convergent approach to TPS mode selection, coupled with an optimal modulation scheme, ensuring the circuit’s efficiency over the entire range in the realm of a high-power and high-efficiency battery charger for electric vehicles. The convergent approach to TPS mode selection also reduces the numerous cases for small-signal analysis through general average modeling. After verifying the small-signal models under various voltage transfer ratios and load conditions to verify the stability, a converter prototype with a rated power of 15 kW is built and tested. Thus, a peak efficiency of 97.7% can be achieved. © 2024 by the authors.

In this paper, an Adapt-Then-Combine diffusion strategy on affine projection sign algorithm is presented. Based on the QR-decomposition method, the modified inverse autocorrelation matrix is shortly brief to decrease the computational complexity. The Adapt-Then-Combine diffusion strategy is applied on the low complexity of sign algorithm version of inverse square-root affine projection algorithm including with the adaptation and combination steps. By applying an idea of diffusion adaptation algorithm, we derive a diffused version of an affine projection sign algorithm based on QR-Decomposition, denoted as DiQR-APSA. Experimental results show that the proposed DiQR-APSA can achieve the good performance in comparison with the standard affine projection sign algorithm. © 2021 IEEE.

Ternary bent functions are defined in the spectral domain as ternary functions having flat Vilenkin-Chrestenson spectra. This is a global transform in the sense that all function values are involved in computing every spectral coefficient. The paper presents an analysis of characteristics of the spectra of ternary bent functions with respect to the ternary Haar transform, which is a multiresolution and local transform in the above sense. Due to this, it provides a further insight in the structure of ternary bent functions, their characteristics, and mutual relationships.

Text line recognition of dai language using statistical characteristics of texture analysis and deep gaussian process

—In view of the different recognition methods of Dai in different language, we proposed a novel method of text line recognition for New Tai Lue and Lanna Dai based on statistical characteristics of texture analysis and Deep Gaussian process, which can classify different Dai text lines. First, the Dai text line database is constructed, and the images are preprocessed by de-noise and size standardization. Gabor multi-scale decomposition is carried out on two Dai text line images, and then the statistical features of image entropy and average row variance feature is extracted. The multi-layers Deep Gaussian process classifier is constructed. Experiments show that the accuracy of text line classification of New Tai Lue and Lanna Dai based on Deep Gaussian process is 99.89%, the values of precision, recall and f1-score are 1, 0.9978 and 0.9989, respectively. The combination of Gabor texture analysis average row variance statistical features and Deep Gaussian process model can effectively classify the text line of New Tai Lue and Lanna Dai. Comparative experiments show that the classification accuracy of the model is superior to traditional methods, such as Gaussian Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Gaussian Process. © 2021, North Atlantic University Union NAUN.
