In recent years, advances in automotive IoT technology have not only improved automated driving and driving convenience but have also led to a diminishing number of traffic accidents. Vehicle Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have attracted much attention because automotive IoT is based on wireless communications. Ad-hoc routing protocols that apply the characteristics of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) networks are needed. One of them is Greedy Perimeter Stateless Forwarding (GPSR), a routing protocol using geographic information. It uses Global Positioning System (GPS) information for routing. However, GPSR may increase the packet drop rate due to radio attenuation and fading. Therefore, C. Li et al. proposed to select the next hop by evaluating the link quality. However, due to the large moving speed of the node, the next hop may be out of the radio propagation range at the communication timing. Therefore, in this study, we propose a new routing method that combines the future location prediction proposed by Z.S. Houssaini et al. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by simulations using ns-3 with traffic data acquired by SUMO.

In this paper, we performed an analysis of the outage probability $(P_{\mathrm{out}})$ at the output of the receiver with selection combination (SC) with L branches of the wireless communication system in the presence of Beaulieu-Xie (BX) fading and BX co-channel interference (CCI). The mathematical form of the function for $P_{\mathrm{out}}$ as a normalized signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) was derived, based on which a graph was drawn for different values of fading and CCI parameters. The second part of the paper considers applying machine learning approach relying on ChatGPT with aim to enable fading type recognition based on $P_{\mathrm{out}}$ measurements, which can be further used in order to perform Quality of Service (QoS) adaptation by tuning receiver’s parameters.

In this paper, we explore robust transceiver design for an integrated sensing and communications system with bounded channel estimation error. To maximize the minimum sensing performance of multiple targets while satisfying communications requirements, we study the worst-case robust op-timization problem by jointly optimizing the transmitter and receiver variables. The formulated problem is challenging due to the non-convexity arising from the semi-infinite constraints (SICs) and coupled variables. To overcome these difficulties, we adopt the S-procedure to convert the SICs into finite convex linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Using the alternating opti-mization technique, we decouple the robust transceiver design problem into feasibility-checking subproblems. By exploiting matrix lifting, we transform the rank-one constraints into a set of LMIs, which is leveraged to further check the feasibility of the obtained beamforming scheme. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in combating channel errors and improving the performance of ISAC systems.

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) is a subpart from mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs). The main idea from VANETs is to establish communication between vehicles for the safety of the people. However, mobility of vehicles appears to be the main challenge in VANETs. High speed of vehicles causes topology changed that results in an unstable network. Therefore, clustering is used to reduce the effect of vehicle mobility by combining vehicles in a group called cluster. Network stability is based on clusters stability. Therefore, most of the authors focused on increasing cluster stability to enhance the network. Nevertheless, increasing the number of the cluster in the network affects the network performance negatively. This paper proposes a new method called Hybrid Cluster-Head Election (HCHE) to reduce the number of the cluster in the network to increase network performance. Performance of the proposed method was evaluated through simulation by utilising real-time datasets. Arduino, GPS and external antennas were used to collect real GPS locations from Batu Pahat City - Johor - Malaysia. Overall, the proposed method resulted high performance in the reduction ratio of the number of cluster head compared to other recent methods. The proposed method successfully reduced the number of cluster heads by 30%. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid development of multimedia technology, images have become the main data form of people's daily communication and information expression. In order to ensure fast data transmission, much effort has been made to compress the three-channel color image into the 2D matrix and then recover the image from the 2D matrix through interpolation algorithms. However, there usually exists different degrees of edge blurring or noise generation when reconstructing images, which significantly affects the accuracy of reconstruction. More importantly, we find that different interpolation algorithms may have drastic performance differences when dealing with different scene images. All of these aspects inspire us to explore the application boundary of interpolation algorithms. In this paper, we compare the representative bilinear interpolation, cok interpolation and Hibbard interpolation from the degree of edge blurring, the amount of noise generated and the processing speed. With extensive experiments, both visual and quantitative analysis shows an interesting but meaningful result. Three algorithms obtain a similar accuracy for the image with a single color or simple lines, while the Hibbard algorithm could restore the most realistic image when the image structure is complex. © 2022 IEEE.

The k-Medoids clustering algorithm is one of the commonly used clustering methods, but it does not consider the weight of each attribute which lead to different impacts on clustering results. Granular computing characterizes given knowledge from different perspectives while considering the granularity and completeness of the given knowledge, thus determining which feature has the greatest impact on the results in clustering problems, which helps to focus on important features. Therefore, this paper proposes an effective Intelligent k-Medoids Clustering Scheme based on granularity rough entropy for social networks (IKCS). Specifically, the granularity rough entropy is firstly defined based on indistinguishable relationships and roughness. Secondly, attribute weight coefficients are introduced to define the similarity function between samples. Finally, the samples are clustered based on the similarity function mentioned above, and the original cluster centers are initialized through k remote cluster centers. The experimental results on the artificial and UCI datasets effectively prove the validity of the proposed IKCS. As a result, it achieves the average Accuracy of Clustering 5.36% higher than the PAM and 4.16% higher than the fast k-Medoids. Moreover, it exhibits excellence in both the clustering Sum of Squared Errors and Adjusted Rand Index. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Combined prosocial incentives, integrating reward for cooperators and punishment for defectors, are effective tools to promote cooperation among competing agents in population games. Existing research concentrated on how to adjust reward or punishment, as two mutually exclusive tools, during the evolutionary process to achieve the desired proportion of cooperators in the population, and less attention has been given to exploring a combined incentive-based control policy that can steer the system to the full cooperation state at the lowest cost. In this work we propose a combined incentive scheme in a population of agents whose conflicting interactions are described by the prisoner's dilemma game on complete graphs and regular networks, respectively. By devising an index function for quantifying the implementation costs of the combined incentives, we analytically construct the optimally combined incentive protocol by using optimal control theory. By means of theoretical analysis, we identify the mathematical conditions, under which the optimally combined incentive scheme requires the minimal amount of cost. In addition to numerical calculations, we further perform computer simulations to verify our theoretical results and explore their robustness on different types of network structures. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

In today's world, autonomous automation is inspiring researchers, and growing human needs are driving students and scientists to build new automation devices. This paper will help you understand the changing trends in self-driving car technology. Advances and upgrades in technology have improved their performance and usage. The most important requirement for an automated device or vehicle is the Communication between them. In addition, the Government of India attaches great importance to military progress. In this regard, this paper focuses on a perfect connection system between remote controlled bots, as long as the connection is not an obstacle. To achieve this goal, the relay device (with Raspberry Pi) is configured as a repeater of the connection network that connects the remote control to the vehicle (bot). In this project, the Wi-Fi adapter will act as a beacon or extender to extend the connectivity and range of remote vehicles. This connection allows the bot to easily capture live feeds and send data for face recognition on the receiving side. This project leverages advanced research on network configurations and intercommunication schemes for IoT devices. The range of remote connections is Extended by the relay chain method. This further improves the connection with the bot through subsequent relay bots, making data transmissions untraceable and encrypted. By using existing algorithms, obstacles and Suspicious activity can be easily detected and sent to military bases. © 2022 IEEE.

Oscillations in neuronal activity play a crucial role in neural processing. Electroencephalogram (EEG) records the amplitudes of oscillations at different frequencies. The robust interindividual variation and the high intraindividual stability of EEG oscillations can be explained by genetic variants. However, our knowledge of how genetic variants affect EEG endophenotypes is still limited. In this paper, we aim to identify the linkage between genes and EEG oscillations at different frequencies. We integrate the summary-level datasets from the genome-wide association studies (GWASs) of seven EEG endophenotypes and expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) study of the human brain, to explore the genetic mechanisms underlying EEG using summary-data-based two-sample Mendelian randomization. As a result, twelve candidate causal genes are prioritized across four EEG endophenotypes. These genes offer opportunities for a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms whereby genomic variation leads to variable brain activities. © 2022 IEEE.
