As in the binary case, ternary bent functions are a very small portion of the set of all ternary functions for a given number of variables. For example, for n = 2, there are 486 ternary bent functions out of 19683 ternary functions, which is 2, 47%, and this number reduces exponentially with the increase of n. However, finding, or alternatively, constructing them is a challenging task. A possible approach is based upon the manipulation of known ternary bent functions to construct other ternary bent functions. In this paper, we define Gibbs permutation matrices derived from the Gibbs derivative with respect to the Vilenkin-Chrestenson transform and propose their usage in constructing bent functions. The method can be extended to p-valued bent functions, where p is a prime larger than 3. © 2023 IEEE.

In modern healthcare systems, physicians often diagnose and prescribe within their specific fields of expertise. However, this compartmentalized approach may not fully assess the overall health condition of patients, leading to potential risks associated with polypharmacy, such as drug-drug interactions. Consequently, pharmaceutical care becomes a critical systemic task, typically managed by clinical pharmacists. Despite their crucial role, clinical pharmacists face challenges in providing personalized medication guidance due to the vast and rapidly evolving body of medical knowledge. With the advancement of artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs), these technologies have demonstrated significant potential in pharmaceutical care by effectively reducing medication errors and adverse drug events, and alleviating the workload of healthcare professionals. However, existing LLMs still struggle with the accurate interpretation and automated execution of tasks in complex clinical scenarios like pharmaceutical care. To address these challenges, we developed the Shennong-Agent system, a multi-agent framework for LLMs with integrated multimodal inputs. Shennong-Agent is enabled to analyze and segment tasks using chained reasoning and autonomously perform complex pharmacy care tasks using tools such as knowledge retrieval and web search. Rigorously evaluated by medical experts, this system not only surpasses existing LLMs in performance but also enhances its capabilities through reinforcement learning with human feedback. © 2024 IEEE.

Heart disease is one of the major concerns of this modern world. The insufficiency of the experts has made this issue a bigger concern. Diagnosing heart diseases at an early stage is possible with Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, which will lessen the needed number of experts. This paper has initially discussed different kinds of heart diseases and the importance of detecting them early. Two popular diagnosis systems for collecting data and their working function are then highlighted. Different types of Model architectures in the corresponding field are described. Firstly, the Support Vector Machine (SVM) machine learning algorithm is described, and secondly, popular deep learning model architecture such as Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), etc. are highlighted to detect heart disease. Finally, discussion, comparison, and future work are described. This paper presents a simplified fractal image compression algorithm, which is implemented on a block-by-block basis. This algorithm achieves a Compression Ratio (CR) of up to 10 with a Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) as high as 35 dB. Hence, it is very appropriate for the new applications of underwater communication. The idea of the proposed algorithm is based on the segmentation of the image, first, into blocks to setup reference blocks. The image is then decomposed again into block ranges, and a search process is carried out to find the reference blocks with the best match. The transmitted or stored values, after compression, are the reference block values and the indices of the reference block that achieves the best match. If there is no match, the average value of the block range is transmitted or stored instead. The effect of the spiral architecture instead of square block decomposition is studied. A comparison between different algorithms, including the conventional square search, the proposed simplified fractal compression algorithm and the standard JPEG compression algorithm, is introduced. We applied the types of fractal compression on a video sequence. In addition, the effect of using the fractal image compression algorithms in transform domain is investigated. The image is transferred firstly to a transform domain. The Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) are used. After transformation takes place, the fractal algorithm is applied. A comparison between three fractal algorithms, namely conventional square, spiral, and simplified fractal compression, is presented. The comparison is repeated in the two cases of transformation. The DWT is used also in this paper to increase the CR of the block domain pool. We decompose the block domain by wavelet decomposition to two levels. As a highly repetitive logic operation unit in programmable logic modules, the operating speed of a carry adder circuit is crucial to the overall performance of the programmable logic circuit. In order to optimize circuit propagation delay and area overhead, this paper proposes an improved design scheme for carry adder circuits. Firstly, several basic adder structure types and their performance characteristics are compared to determine the most suitable architecture for carry adder circuits in programmable modules. Then, based on the carry-propagate principle of the carry lookahead adder, a novel single MOS transmission gate structure is proposed to optimize the underlying carry logic circuit. Finally, the carry adder circuit is implemented using a full-custom design flow in TSMC 28nm technology. Experimental results show that compared to existing logic designs, the proposed carry adder circuit in this paper reduces propagation delay and area overhead by 14% and 26.5% respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to address the radiation-induced effects in the timing units of configurable logic block(CLB), a design scheme for an anti-single event flip-flop based on master-slave D flip-flops has been proposed. This design scheme first optimizes the radiation-hardened structure of the dual-delay chains in SETTOFF and combines it with the functionality of the CLB timing unit to design a flip detection D flip-flop circuit. Then, the full-custom design method is used to complete the schematic and layout design of the circuit. Finally, the designed circuit was simulated using the TSMC 28nm CMOS process parameters in SPECTRE. The simulation results showed that the circuit has correct logical functionality and good transient characteristics. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed D flip-flop can achieve the basic function of the CLB timing unit. The layout area is approximately 3.36μm2, and the power-delay product is about 1.01fJ. The simulation results revealed that the output Q exhibited a glitch with a voltage of approximately 0.3V, which was successfully corrected to the correct logic value. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel coaxial cavity filter using in 5G NR Base Stations. The resonant cylinder utilizes stepped impedance technology combined with folding edge bending and rectangular zigzag arm structure on the top to improve the electrical coupling mainline. Therefore, dimensions of cavity filter are reduced while maintaining the filter performance parameters. This proposed resonator is verified in the design of one filter integrated in C-Band 5G station with ten orders and four zero points. The dimensions of the filter are only 56.81 mm x 15.56 mm x 9.5 mm (length x width x height). The simulation results show the passband of 304MHz, the return loss of 15.6dB, the insertion loss of 0.1dB. These specifications are suitable for applying in Band C 5G network. © 2024 IEEE.

The persistent challenges faced by sun-tracking systems include inefficient power production, wastage of energy, ineffective control, and high costs. Most of the existing systems are either static or dual-axis tracking which lead to inefficient output or increasing energy wastage and cost overheads. Though, single-axis tracking system has some benefits over the static or dual-axis tracking, most of the systems do not analyze the selection of optimal sun-path which again leads to inefficient and inadequate absorption of sunlight. Addressing the issues, this article presents a design of optimal parameters for single-axis solar-tracking by analyzing the sun-path and tracking vector dynamics. The study mainly focuses on analyzing solar-tracking dynamics, variations in sunray angles, Azimuth and Elevation dynamics throughout the day for the twelve months, Sun-vector calculation for local coordinates, joint rotational-axis, and joint motion control using a Proportional-Derivative controller. Additionally, the article outlines a conceptual architecture for automated control, monitoring, and power distribution for the potential development of a sustainable smart city. The proposed strategy addresses the issues of the optimal design of a single-axis solar-tracker, thus ensuring the reduction of cost overhead and energy wastage. © 2024 IEEE.

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are efficient tools for pattern recognition applications. They have found applications in wireless communication systems such as modulation classification from constellation diagrams. Unfortunately, noisy channels may render the constellation points deformed and scattered, which makes the classification a difficult task. This paper presents an efficient modulation classification algorithm based on CNNs. Constellation diagrams are generated for each modulation type and used for training and testing of the CNNs. The proposed work depends on the application of Radon Transform (RT) to generate more representative patterns for the constellation diagrams to be used for training and testing. The RT has a good ability to represent discrete points in the spatial domain as curved lines. Several pre-trained networks including AlexNet, VGG-16, and VGG-19 are used as classifiers for modulation type from the spatial-domain constellation diagrams or their RTs. Several simulation experiments are presented in this paper to compare different scenarios for modulation classification at different Signal-to-Noise Ratios (SNRs) and fading channel conditions. © 2022, The Author(s).
