A problem of analysis of the input impedance of a converter traction vehicle is presented in the paper. The value of input impedance of a traction vehicle has significant influence of compatibility between track circuits and traction vehicles. This paper presents an intelligent radio wave propagation prediction model by using the 2-dimension aerial image which is taken from the actual area. An suburban area is used as examples. The prediction procedure is done in three steps. First, the image segmentation is employed to divide the area image into subgroups by using Maximum Likelihood algorithm. The second step uses the subgroup images from step 1 to determine the parameters for the fuzzy model that we use to classify the propagation areas. The final step is to plot the path loss contour on the image so the cellular cell site can be chosen. The research results show that the proposed segmentation provides an accuracy of 80-90% compared with the actual area. Therefore, cell site selection can be designed on the 2-dimension aerial map with the error less than 8 dB.

A new control algorithm for three-phase buck PWM voltage source rectifier with an input filter is developed in ABC frame. The algorithm employs a control loop for enslaving the input network current in steady - state, in addition to the standard output voltage regulation loop. In the first part, the authors present a topology of three-phase buck rectifier, and they propose knowledge and control models of this converter using Petri nets. Then in the second part, two PWM strategies using the triangular-sinusoidal are presented. The characteristics of these strategies are studied too. In the third part, we give a mathematical model of the power circuit of the three-phase voltage source rectifier by taking account of its input and output filter. The mathematical model is then used to analyze and synthesize the voltage and current control loops for the rectifier. The digital simulation results show the performances of the network currents control with a unit power-factor.

This paper discussed a new mobile robot path planning algorithm. It analyzed the traditional path planning algorithm that employs Artificial Potential Field and Fuzzy Logic, and then develop a new method combing Artificial Potential Field, Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic, which realized real-time obstacle recognition and smooth motion in dynamic environment. This algorithm improves the traditional Artificial Potential Field performance, while reducing its drawbacks' influence effectively. Experiment and simulation shows this method can make the robot avoid obstacles effectively and avoid being trapped in "dead area".
