This paper presents a novel approach to improving communication between individuals with hearing difficulties, with people of normal hearing capacity and unfamiliar with sign language. The work combines advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision to address the communication barriers faced by this group. Recent advancements in AI have made this possible. By using techniques like deep learning and computer vision, the work aims to develop a model that can turn complex sign language gestures into comprehensible/ interpretable language. Sequential deep learning models, specifically Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), are used to recognize sign language gestures using Tensor Flow, with the assistance of MediaPipe Holistic. This application aims to narrow the communication divide between individuals proficient in sign language and those unfamiliar with it. This paper highlights the potential for a beneficial outcome through the fusion of AI and computer vision, especially given the widespread availability of video accessibility on smartphones and the growing influence of AI. The result shows that GRU performs better than LSTM in recognizing the sign language gestures with an average accuracy of 97%.

Language models excel in linguistic processing but often face challenges with complex reasoning tasks that require real-world interaction and multi-step logic. This paper presents the Cognitive Adaptive Reasoning Architecture (CARA), a framework that enhances reasoning by integrating a modular swarm architecture with knowledge graphs (KGs) and specialized agents. These agents, equipped with diverse tools, dynamically adapt to various tasks, actively engaging with real-world data. CARA's continuous memory update cycle ensures each reasoning step is based on up-to-date, contextual KG knowledge, enhancing decision-making. Incorporating human insights further aligns outcomes with nuanced cognition. Experimental results demonstrate CARA's superior performance over larger models, advancing language models' reasoning capabilities for more context-aware, informed decision-making in dynamic environments.

Lightweight Cryptography(LWC)is widely used to provide integrity,secrecy and authentication for the sensitive ***,the LWC is vulnerable to various constraints such as high-power consumption,time consumption,and hardware utilization and susceptible to the malicious *** order to overcome this,a lightweight block cipher namely PRESENT architecture is proposed to provide the security against malicious *** True Random Number Generator-Pseudo Random Number Generator(TRNG-PRNG)based key generation is proposed to generate the unpredictable keys,being highly difficult to predict by the ***,the hardware utilization of PRESENT architecture is optimized using the Dual port Read Only Memory(DROM).The proposed PRESENT-TRNGPRNG architecture supports the 64-bit input with 80-bit of key *** performance of the PRESENT-TRNG-PRNG architecture is evaluated by means of number of slice registers,flip flops,number of slices Look Up Table(LUT),number of logical elements,slices,bonded input/output block(IOB),frequency,power and *** input retrieval performances analyzed in this PRESENT-TRNG-PRNG architecture are Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR),Structural Similarity Index(SSIM)and Mean-Square Error(MSE).The PRESENT-TRNG-PRNG architecture is compared with three different existing PRESENT architectures such as PRESENT On-TheFly(PERSENT-OTF),PRESENT Self-Test Structure(PRESENT-STS)and PRESENT-Round Keys(PRESENT-RK).The operating frequency of the PRESENT-TRNG-PRNG is 612.208 MHz for Virtex 5,which is high as compared to the PRESENT-RK.

As a highly repetitive logic operation unit in programmable logic modules, the operating speed of a carry adder circuit is crucial to the overall performance of the programmable logic circuit. In order to optimize circuit propagation delay and area overhead, this paper proposes an improved design scheme for carry adder circuits. Firstly, several basic adder structure types and their performance characteristics are compared to determine the most suitable architecture for carry adder circuits in programmable modules. Then, based on the carry-propagate principle of the carry lookahead adder, a novel single MOS transmission gate structure is proposed to optimize the underlying carry logic circuit. Finally, the carry adder circuit is implemented using a full-custom design flow in TSMC 28nm technology. Experimental results show that compared to existing logic designs, the proposed carry adder circuit in this paper reduces propagation delay and area overhead by 14% and 26.5% respectively.

In modern healthcare systems, physicians often diagnose and prescribe within their specific fields of expertise. However, this compartmentalized approach may not fully assess the overall health condition of patients, leading to potential risks associated with polypharmacy, such as drug-drug interactions. Consequently, pharmaceutical care becomes a critical systemic task, typically managed by clinical pharmacists. Despite their crucial role, clinical pharmacists face challenges in providing personalized medication guidance due to the vast and rapidly evolving body of medical knowledge. With the advancement of artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs), these technologies have demonstrated significant potential in pharmaceutical care by effectively reducing medication errors and adverse drug events, and alleviating the workload of healthcare professionals. However, existing LLMs still struggle with the accurate interpretation and automated execution of tasks in complex clinical scenarios like pharmaceutical care. To address these challenges, we developed the Shennong-Agent system, a multi-agent framework for LLMs with integrated multimodal inputs. Shennong-Agent is enabled to analyze and segment tasks using chained reasoning and autonomously perform complex pharmacy care tasks using tools such as knowledge retrieval and web search. Rigorously evaluated by medical experts, this system not only surpasses existing LLMs in performance but also enhances its capabilities through reinforcement learning with human feedback.

This paper presents a new IOT system for monitoring and controlling plant cultivation in greenhouse system. The system aims to regulate and monitor the environmental conditions suitable for plant cultivation in real-time. The system utilizes sensors to measure environmental conditions, such as soil moisture sensor, light intensity sensor, temperature sensor, and air humidity sensor. The Node MCU ESP32 is used for processing and controlling these operations. The system is designed to send notifications through Line application and allows farmers to monitor the system's performance and plant growth in real-time via a smartphone application. It can utilize the Blynk IoT application on a smartphone for remotely monitoring and controlling the environmental conditions and provides historical data. This experiment demonstrates that the designed system can successfully cultivate plants and promote better growth compared to traditional cultivation methods with a 13.38% improvement. Additionally, it provides convenience and ease of management for plant cultivation. © 2025 IEEE.

A single-layer design of non-uniform metasurface(MS)based circularly polarized(CP)antenna with wideband operation characteristic is proposed and investigated in this *** antenna is excited by a truncated corner squared patch as a primary radiating CP ***,a non-uniform MS is placed in the same layer with the driven *** increasing the impedance bandwidth,the non-uniform MS also generates two additional CP bands in the high frequency band,leading to significantly increase the antenna’s overall *** use of non-uniform MS distinguishes our design from the other CP MS based antennas in literature,in which the MS is formed by multiple uniform unit cells and placed in different layer with the radiating *** validation,an antenna prototype,whose overall dimensions of 0.94λ_(o)×0.94λ_(o)×0.06λ_(o) at the center operating frequency,is fabricated and experimentally *** measured operating bandwidth with|S11|≤−10 dB and AR≤3 dB is 27.1%(5.1–6.7 GHz)and the broadside gain within this band is from 5.7 to 7.2 *** to the other related works,the proposed antenna has advantage of very wideband operation with single-layer design.

Power Consumption (PC) algorithms for 5G communications are cutting-edge technology revolutionizing how our modern world communicates and operates. These algorithms help reduce PC and enable mobile devices to consume far less energy while maintaining high connection speeds. However, by reducing the amount of energy required for communication, these algorithms can significantly extend device battery life. By optimizing Internet connection speeds, users can also consistently experience faster web downloads and fewer macro outages. This revolutionary technology has opened up countless new possibilities for the future of communications and data networks. This study shows that various algorithms, including machine learning, reinforcement learning, and heuristic algorithms, can be used to optimize PC in 5G networks. © 2023 IEEE.

Electrical energy distribution faces the significant issue of losses, with power theft being a main factor contributing to these losses. This difficulty is not limited to Pakistan but is also prevalent in several other nations worldwide. This study introduces a technique that utilizes smart meters to identify the approximate whereabouts of power theft. In addition to the detection of power theft, this study also presents a mechanism for the eradication of unauthorized users. The methodology used involves comparing the overall energy with the energy that is lawfully utilized. Wireless communication systems, such as Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Network Repository Function (NRF), are used for communication between the meters.

Among various technologies being applied for indoor localization, WiFi has become a common source of information to determine the pedestrian’s position due to the widespread of WiFi access points in indoor environments. However, the fluctuation of the WiFi signals makes it difficult to achieve a good localization result. In this paper, to handle this problem, the valued tolerance rough set and decision rules method (VTRS-DR), which is firstly registered to WiFi fingerprinting-based localization, will be implemented and evaluated in big and complicated environments using two public datasets. The first one was conducted by a subject using a smartphone at a multi-floor library for several months. Furthermore, to evaluate the localization accuracy when WiFi data was collected from different pedestrians as well as different smartphones, a crowdsourced WiFi fingerprinting dataset was utilized. From the deep analyses of localization results, the VTRS-DR method shows high accuracy and high robustness when testing in different environments with a mean error of 3.84 m, which is 27.87% lower than other compared methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
