Today, traffic congestion presents a real challenge in urban areas, with consequences beyond affecting commuters by increasing travel times and causing frustrating experiences. There has been consistent research using reinforcement learning methods to approach this issue. This manuscript considers a shift in this direction and proposes a novel intelligent controller based on a GPT-based decision transformer. Using transformer models will open significant opportunities for exploiting the available pre-trained transformer models. This paper prepared an offline dataset using the DQN agent and published it online, followed by training a decision transformer. The evaluation results show that the proposed method outperforms the DQN agent used for gathering the dataset; this manifests that transformers are promising in revealing knowledge that reinforcement learning agents cannot discover during their interaction with the environment.

Effective connection quality is the basis of wireless network topology management and routing control. Effective link quality estimates may increase throughput and assure data transfer, extending the whole network's lifespan. Quality-of-service (QoS) routing is crucial in wireless networks to guarantee that data to be sent along a trusted channel and address the issue of energy balancing. This paper presents a Hybrid Cuckoo Search with a Fuzzy (HCSF) algorithm to improve the wireless network system. This mechanism uses the cuckoo search (CS) algorithm to select the neighbor nodes intelligently; as a result, it minimizes the routing overhead. Furthermore, it uses the fuzzy logic system to select the best forwarder from sender to receiver. Hence, it minimizes the network delay and packet loss ratio. The experimental outcomes using the Network Simulator tool significantly enhance the forward ratio and minimize the wireless network's routing overhead.

In this paper, we investigate an unconventional full-duplex (FD) integrated rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) scheme for improved spectral efficiency (SE) and energy efficiency (EE) performance when compared to the conventional power-domain schemes. In particular, we focus on improving the energy efficiency (EE) and spectral efficiency (SE) trade-off for the multiple users subject to robust beamforming design and smart inter-user interference mitigation under imperfect channel state information (CSI). We formulate a multi-objective optimization (MOO) problem, specifically aiming to jointly maximize EE and SE within the FD-RSMA system by jointly optimizing the resource allocation subject to the limits on transmit power and minimum rate, under the assumption of a CSI error model with a bound. Initially, the MOO problem is converted into a single objective optimization (SOO) problem using the weighted sum method, with a trade-off parameter. An iterative algorithm is employed, utilizing successive convex approximation and the S-procedure to achieve near-optimal resource allocation for the transformed SOO problem, with a particular emphasis on effective interference management. Simulation results highlight the effectiveness of the FD-RSMA scheme, demonstrating its superiority over the multi-user FD space division multiple access by 16.93 % and non-orthogonal multiple access scheme by 76.04 %. © 2017 IEEE.

Due to advancements in brain signal application technology, there has been a growing focus on the human speech Brain-computer Interface (BCI) in recent years. An essential initial phase in crafting speech recognition systems is comprehending the inherent features of nature speech processing. To ensure the decoding capability of human speech BCI, researchers have to investigate the differences between overt speech and imagined speech, and they also need to find the best paradigm to build a reliable BCI. Thus, this study compared the differences in brain dynamics between overt speech and imagined speech while using the four Mandarin words "上" (up), "下" (down), "左" (left), and "右" (right). We first calculated the EEG alpha and beta band power for multiple channels situated in the regions of Broca's and Wernicke's areas (specifically F5, F7, FC3, FC5, and C5), to analyze the brain activity changes while speaking or imagining speech. Second, we used Daubechies 4 (db4) wavelet to do a 7-level decomposition to the EEG signal. The corresponding discrete wavelet transform (DWT) coefficients were further calculated with six statistical features for support vector machine (SVM) classification. We found that the "speak (overt speech)" task and the "imagine (imagined speech)" task resulted in significantly different alpha band power changes, and the beta band shows the same phenomenon. The result of average classification accuracy is 71.97% for "speak" and "imagine" distinction. In conclusion, we analyzed the brain dynamics and find that overt speech and imagined speech could be differentiate through DWT coefficients features. This may pave the way to establish a Mandarin imagined speech BCI.

This article presents an innovative analysis of the development and implementation of double degree programs in higher education, focusing on the emerging fields of electric vehicles and automotive electronics. The study examines the “Electric Vehicles and Automotive electronics” educational program, highlighting the critical skills and competencies that students acquire to meet the evolving demands of the modern job market. An algorithm for establishing educational partnerships has been developed, leading to the proposal of a pioneering double degree program between Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (KhNAHU) and Riga Technical University (RTU), supported by the Erasmus+ DIGITRANS project. The results show that such collaborative educational frameworks significantly enrich engineering education, giving students a competitive edge in the global workforce. This research provides valuable insights for higher education and international educational initiatives, emphasizing a scalable model for developing interdisciplinary and international programs.

This paper presents a research about kinematics, dynamics for a robotic closed-chain mechanism. The mechanical structure, kinematics, and Lagrange formulation for a dynamic affair of the parallel robot 4-DOF are described. A MATLAB simulation model of the robot is built and utilized for each stage of identification. Besides, comparing the output response with the input signal will support in determining the error factor of the parallel robot. Results show that the movement equations of the robot are really complex and have certain constraints in the calculation;therefore, a combination of different method is implemented for the parallel robot algorithm. © 2021 IEEE.

This study clarifies the data error rates optimization for OFC/OWC channels based on different transmission codes. These codes that are namely multi bits/symbol digital pulse interval modulation (DPIM), multi bits/symbol pulse position modulation (PPM), nonreturn to zero inverted (NRZI), 4 bit data symbol/5 bit code (4B5B), and Manchester for upgrading optical wired/wireless communication systems. The optical power through OFC/OWC channels, S/N ratio, the output power at the receiver side are stimulated with high bit transmission rates. The effects of coding complexity on the Q-factor, BER, optical power, and electrical received power are also stimulated using both DPIM and PPM coding. © 2022 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.

Automatic breast tumor segmentation based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) is significant for the diagnosis and monitoring of breast cancers. CNNs have become an important method for early diagnosis of breast cancer and, thus, can help decrease the mortality rate. In order to assist medical professionals in breast cancer investigation a computerized system based on two encoder-decoder architectures for breast tumor segmentation has been developed. Two pre-trained DeepLabV3+ and U-Net models are proposed. The encoder generates a high-dimensional feature vector while the decoder analyses the low-resolution feature vector provided by the encoder and generates a semantic segmentation mask. Semantic segmentation based on deep learning techniques can overcome the limitations of traditional algorithms. To assess the efficiency of breast ultrasound image segmentation, we compare the segmentation results provided by CNNs against the Local Graph Cut technique (a semi-automatic segmentation method) in the Image Segmenter application. The output segmentation results have been evaluated by using the Dice similarity coefficient that compares the ground truth images provided by the specialists against the predicted segmentation results provided by the CNNs and Local Graph Cut algorithm. The proposed approach is validated on 780 breast ultrasonographic images of the BUSI public database of which 437 are benign and 210 are malignant. The BUSI database provides classification (benign or malignant) labels for ground truth in binary mask images. The average Dice scores computed between the ground truth images against CNNs were as follows: 0.9360 (malignant) and 0.9325 (benign) for the DeepLabV3+ architecture and of 0.6251 (malignant) and 0.6252 (benign) for the U-Net, respectively. When the segmentation results provided by CNNs were compared with the Local Graph Cut segmented images, the Dice scores were 0.9377 (malignant) and 0.9204 (benign) for DeepLabV3+ architecture and 0.61

This research shows that there's a type of first-order network that can achieve perfect signal matching at all frequencies, complete stopband attenuation, and optimal resonance. To filter out noise or interference, the study introduces a T-shaped resonator bandstop filter. This filter is designed using Advanced Design System (ADS) software and built on a Rogers Duroid RT 5880 board. This board has a dielectric constant of 2.20, a high-quality factor (Q), a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms, a return loss of S11 < -10 dB, and specific substrate thicknesses of 0.787 mm and 0.017 mm. The goal of this paper is to effectively separate the desired signal from interference at chosen frequencies in real-world situations.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have made great advances in terms of power conversion efficiency(PCE),yet their subpar stability continues to hinder their *** interface between the perovskite layer and the charge-carrier transporting layers plays a crucial role in undermining the stability of *** this work,we propose a strategy to stabilize high-performance PSCs with PCE over 23%by introducing a cesium-doped graphene oxide(GO-Cs)as an interlayer between the perovskite and hole-transporting *** GO-Cs treated PSCs exhibit excellent operational stability with a projected T80(the time where the device PCE reduces to 80%of its initial value)of 2143 h of operation at the maximum powering point under one sun illumination.
