The variables that maximize an objective function, specific equality requirements, such as the power balancing and power flow equations, and inequality constraints, restrictions on the variables, are the most crucial elements of the optimal power flow (OPF). The set of parameters and constraints, as well as the shape of the objective, will vary depending on the type of OPF. Additionally, with the gradual integration of renewable energy sources into the contemporary smart grid, it is now possible to develop new optimization problems with a substantially greater number of variables. In this paper, a method for choosing the optimal power flow in a system including both conventional thermal power plants and stochastic wind turbines is presented. To anticipate wind energy output, Weibull and lognormal probability distribution functions are used, respectively. The loss from overestimating intermittent renewable sources and the penalty factor from underestimating them are both considered by the objective function. To handle the optimization problem in the IEEE 30 bus system, Moth Flow Optimizer (MFO) and Graw Wolf Optimization are used (GWO). The approach's combination and design produce the best outcomes, which meet all network limitations. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.

Blockchain was thought of as a revolutionary platform with implementation potential in diverse industries. Thus, different blockchain networks have been implemented to analyze their utility in multiple scenarios. In this article, a comprehensive assessment of blockchain efficiency by classifying all the solutions into two broad categories;an empirical study and computational modeling is conducted. The latest methodological blockchain approach includes benchmarking, testing, experimental research and then modeling. It is comparatively tested for stochastic models of computational modeling which is used to test the efficiency of conventional blockchain consensus algorithms. By contrasting, comparing, and grouping the various approaches together, significant parameters can be used to choose the most effective measurement technology to maximize blockchain device performance based on the detection of the bottlenecks. Finally, the proposed approach lists suggested recommendations for possible inquiries. © 2023 IEEE.

Rising urban air pollution poses serious health dangers. Through robots, cloud computing, and deep reinforcement learning, this research proposes a new air purification method. The suggested autonomous system analyzes real-time air quality parameters and optimizes air purification tactics using cloud-based data processing. Advanced sensors and purification processes allow robotic agents to intelligently adapt to shifting pollution patterns in dynamic settings. Robots use Deep Q Networks (DQN) to learn and change their purifying tactics based on past data and environmental input. Cloud computing and deep learning improve air purification efficiency and enable real-time pollution response decision-making. The autonomous system is scalable and adaptable to varied urban environments since it requires little human involvement. The cloud-based design lets autonomous agents communicate and coordinate to improve air quality. Experimental findings show that the suggested strategy improves air purification over previous approaches. This system advances environmental robotics and lays the groundwork for intelligent, autonomous systems that handle urban air quality and pollution issues. © 2024 IEEE.

The drive for sustainability has pushed forward various avenues in meeting the zero-carbon target. Electrification of vehicles has seen rapid growth, especially in replacing current internal combustion engine vehicles which relies on fossil fuel. The hybrid electrical vehicles (HEVs) that catalyze complete vehicle electrification provide a transition platform for vehicle users. The losses experienced by the HEVs which is contributed by the motor, generator, and battery have to be minimized to ensure efficient hybrid EV performance. The motor controller in the simulation model of the power-split hybrid transmission architecture is optimized using Jaya Optimization Algorithm (JOA). Two objective functions, which are speed regulation error and total electrical power loss are evaluated. Three different analyses for the Fractional order PID controller (FOPID) are carried out. The investigation comprises of comparative analysis with PID controller for first objective function, an analysis on FOPID controller based on second objective function, and an analysis of three different driving patterns. Overall improvement is observed in the integration of FOPID for HEV to enhance the performance of speed regulation and total electrical losses. © 2024 IEEE.

The ubiquitous time-delay estimation (TDE) problem becomes nontrivial when sensors are non-co-located and communication between them is limited. Building on the recently proposed "extremum encoding" compression-estimation scheme, we address the critical extension to complex-valued signals, suitable for radio-frequency (RF) baseband processing. This extension introduces new challenges, e.g., due to unknown phase of the signal of interest and random phase of the noise, rendering a naïve application of the original scheme inapplicable and irrelevant. In the face of these challenges, we propose a judiciously adapted, though natural, extension of the scheme, paving its way to RF applications. While our extension leads to a different statistical analysis, including extremes of non-Gaussian distributions, we show that, ultimately, its asymptotic behavior is akin to the original scheme. We derive an exponentially tight upper bound on its error probability, corroborate our results via simulation experiments, and demonstrate the superior performance compared to two benchmark approaches.

The paper provides analysis on the current state of the art in the field of green technologies, including green information technologies, and methods aimed to achieve effective energy consumption goals. Recent advances in the field summarized in prospective publications, were analysed. Modern Green IT and Green Energy strategies, aimed to reduce power consumption, environmental influence and improve sustainability, which assume the use of Cloud Technologies, renewable energy sources, proper recycling and reuse of devices and resources, were singled out. The Internet of Things (IoT) has brought smart healthcare systems to the medical industry. These systems are typically made up of a network, a remote server, and sensors with smart capabilities. The primary goals of this system are to offer multidimensional feature monitoring and fundamental therapy recommendations. The primary goals of Internet of Things (IoT)-based healthcare services are to enhance quality of life and offer a great user experience at an affordable price. The primary purpose of IoT is to give elderly patients with chronic illnesses access to trustworthy, efficient, and intelligent healthcare services as well as connectivity to the medical resources that are readily available. Thus, many studies are developed on the different applications which worked on the IoT for the healthcare which includes wearable as well as non-wearable devices or machines. Thus, it makes the users to obtain the data from anywhere and wherever required for the study or analysis of the patients. In the meantime, the Internet of Things is expanding to include even the tiniest sensors and the fundamentals of automation and machine-to-machine communication. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, the performance of various rotor pole configurations in a novel π-shaped stator wound-field flux switching machine (WFFSM) is investigated to address concerns with cost and environmental concerns associated with permanent magnet machines. By employing the finite element analysis (FEA) method, the study focuses on the no-load, on-load and overload performance characteristics of the proposed machines based on four different rotor poles-13P, 14P, 16P and 17P. The 14P rotor configuration emerges as superior machine, showcasing highest torque, lowest torque ripple and best overload capability. The future study will cover full optimization of all four machines with experimental validation. © 2025 IEEE.

SARS-CoV-2 is an infection that affects several organs and has a wide range of symptoms in addition to producing severe acute respiratory syndrome. Millions of individuals were infected when it first started because of how quickly it travelled from its starting location to nearby countries. Anticipating positive Covid-19 incidences is required in order to better understand future risk and take the proper preventative and precautionary measures. As a result, it is critical to create mathematical models that are durable and have as few prediction errors as possible. This study suggests a unique hybrid strategy for examining the status of Covid-19 confirmed patients in conjunction with complete vaccination. First, the selective opposition technique is initially included into the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) in this study to improve the exploration and exploitation capacity for the given challenge. Second, to execute the prediction task with the optimized hyper-parameter values, the Least Squares Support Vector Machines (LSSVM) method is integrated with Selective Opposition based GWO as an objective function. The data source includes daily occurrences of confirmed cases in Malaysia from February 24, 2021 to July 27, 2022. Based on the experimental results, this paper shows that SOGWO-LSSVM outperforms a few other hybrid techniques with ideally adjusted parameters. © 2022 IEEE.
