In this work, we investigate the security performance of an underlay cognitive radio network (CRN) with ambient backscatter communication (AmBC), where a backscattering device (BD) shares the spectrum and the receivers with the secondary user. Different from the related work, we consider a secondary user transmitter (ST) with multiple antenna in an AmBC-CRN with multiple receivers and multiple passive eavesdroppers. The ST performs joint antenna-user selection to enhance its security performance and overcome the performance degradation caused by BD interference. Considering the Nakagami-m fading model, closed-form expressions are derived for the secrecy outage probability for both the ST and the BD transmissions. Monte Carlo simulations are performed to validate the derived closed-form expressions. Numerical results show that employing joint antenna-user selection enhances the ST security performance by exploiting antenna and user diversity. © 2024 IEEE.

To assess the wind power potential of a specific wind site, a suitable distribution function that best suits the wind data needs to be known. In this study, we employ four probability density functions (PDFs), namely Weibull, Rayleigh, Log-Normal, and Gamma, on wind speed data obtained from two coastal cities in Pakistan, Gwadar and Karachi, to check which one is the best suited. Cities along the coastline of Pakistan offer greater wind speeds and, thus, greater wind power potential. The maximum likelihood technique is used to estimate the parameters of the density distributions. Three statistical measures—Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Coefficient of Determination (R2)—are used to assess the goodness of fit for every distribution. These measures give a complete picture of every distribution's correctness in terms of reflecting the recorded wind speed patterns. Numerical results reveal that the Weibull distribution fits well with the wind speeds of the two coastal cities compared to the other three probability distributions, providing insightful analysis for the evaluation of wind resources and possible local energy generation. The MATLAB environment is used to compare the distributions and validate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. ©2024 IEEE.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) contains spatially distributed sensor nodes that collaborate with each other. However, the WSN is susceptible since the wireless medium is unpredictable. Several conventional approaches are used to distinguish the abnormal in the WSN, and all have difficulties. An Extended Kalman Filter Algorithm (EKFA) to detect false inject data in WSN is proposed in this paper. It addresses two issues such as abnormality recognition and obstacle detection. It also distinguishes false insert data. Particularly, it observes neighbors' behaviors and then applying EKFA to forecast their future states. The node behavior is observed by incorporating abnormal node examination and system examination elements. The Path Optimization Method (POM) is a shortest route that is used to discover the obstacle in the WSN. The EKFA mechanism minimizes the forwarder count and delay by applying POM. Simulation results demonstrate that the EKFA approach enhances abnormal node detection and minimizes the false negative ratio. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, WiFi Fingerprinting-based indoor positioning systems have gained significant attention due to the low cost of infrastructure deployment. In the data collection process, a higher density of reference points may lead to better positioning results. However, it makes this process time-consuming and laborious. To solve this problem, this study applies and compares different interpolation methods to enrich the fingerprint database without increasing the cost of the collection process. To evaluate the performance of the chosen methods, five interpolation methods are implemented in a multi-condition WiFi Fingerprinting dataset. Moreover, to check the robustness of the methods, different numbers of reference points are considered when creating the new interpolated fingerprint databases. According to the results, inverse distance weighting (IDW) is the most suitable interpolation method with low complexity and stable performance. The IDW-based database achieves an average interpolation error of less than 6 dBm compared to the original database. When applying this interpolated database to perform positioning tasks, it helps reduce the collection cost by 30% with slightly lower positioning results compared to the original database. This work demonstrates the feasibility of using interpolation to ease the data collection process of WiFi Fingerprinting, especially in complex and big areas such as airports or hospitals. New fractional operators, the COVID-19 model has been studied in this paper. By using different numericaltechniques and the time fractional parameters, the mechanical characteristics of the fractional order model areidentified. The uniqueness and existence have been established. Themodel’sUlam-Hyers stability analysis has beenfound. In order to justify the theoretical results, numerical simulations are carried out for the presented methodin the range of fractional order to show the implications of fractional and fractal *** applied very effectivenumerical techniques to obtain the solutions of themodel and simulations. Also, we present conditions of existencefor a solution to the proposed epidemicmodel and to calculate the reproduction number in certain state conditionsof the analyzed dynamic system. COVID-19 fractional order model for the case of Wuhan, China, is offered foranalysis with simulations in order to determine the possible efficacy of Coronavirus disease transmission in theCommunity. For this reason, we employed the COVID-19 fractal fractional derivative model in the example ofWuhan, China, with the given beginning conditions. In conclusion, again the mathematical models with fractionaloperators can facilitate the improvement of decision-making for measures to be taken in the management of anepidemic situation.

This study takes on the challenge of learning and scheduling in a Multi-Hop Wireless Network (MHWN) without having any prior knowledge of connection charges. Earlier scheduling methods needed knowledge of the connection rates, whereas Techniques for training often required a centralized authority and had an exponential performance. These represent a significant barrier to creating a reliable distributed strategy for resource allocation that relies on learning in massive multi-hop networks. Management of multihop control It is a tough task to implement wireless networks in a distributed fashion while meeting end-to-end timing constraints for a variety of flows. Using the notions of Draining Time and Continuous Review, which originate from the notion of fluid boundaries of queues, an algorithm is constructed that meets delay needs for various streams in a system. This study proposes a regulated maximal matching, a completely distributed scheduling algorithm that ensures at least 50% of the performance of a centralized method. The approach employs a distributed optimization procedure called iterative gradient ascent, which is carried out in a cyclic fashion between nodes with little data interchange. The system prioritizes flows using weights that change over time. The effectiveness of the algorithm is analyzed in a network setting where interruption is symbolized by isolated nodes. © 2023 IEEE.
