This paper presents a mathematical model of flow washing with the initial volume of the washing bath of preserved raw hides by salt. The main result of this work is the determination of the concentration field of the preservative in the raw material depending on the washing time and the size of the washing water flow, based on the correct laboratory-determined diffusion coefficient of the preservative using a tortuous factor. The paper points out the usefulness of applying theoretical tools of chemical engineering in areas such as the tanning industry. © 2022 IEEE.

The advantages of both the length and accuracy of high-fidelity(HiFi)reads enable chromosome-scale haplotype-resolved genome *** this study,we sequenced a cell line named HJ,established from a Chinese Han male individual by using HiFi and *** assembled two high-quality haplotypes of the HJ genome(haplotype 1(H1):3.1 Gb,haplotype 2(H2):2.9 Gb).The continuity(H1:contig N50=28.2 Mb,H2:contig N50=25.9 Mb)and completeness(BUSCO:H1=94.9%,H2=93.5%)are substantially better than those of other Chinese genomes,for example,HX1,NH1.0,and *** comparing HJ genome with GRCh38,we reported the mutation landscape of HJ and found that 176 and 213 N-gaps were filled in H1 and H2,*** addition,we detected 12.9 Mb and 13.4 Mb novel sequences containing 246 and 135 protein-coding genes in H1 and H2,*** results demonstrate the advantages of HiFi reads in haplotype-resolved genome assembly and provide two high-quality haplotypes of a potential Chinese genome as a reference for the Chinese Han population.

The variable-frequency drive technology (VFD) can modify the motor speed or torque by varying the frequency and voltage of the AC motor input power according to the load demand as a way to save energy. To analyse the energy saving effect of variable-frequency drive technology applied to data centre heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, this paper applies VFD technology to data centre fluorine pump-compressor composite air conditioning systems, implements monitoring and analysis of the operational energy efficiency of this system before and after retrofit, and combines the actual application of this technology. The findings indicate that the VFD technology can substantially reduce the number of compressor starts and stops, reduce the compressor start-up inrush current, and improve the power system's stability. Furthermore, utilising this technology, the HVAC system can effectively synchronise with the load and fluctuations in outdoor temperature and humidity, resulting in accurate temperature regulation and optimal utilisation of outdoor cooling resources. This approach can lead to significant energy conservation of up to 42.95% when compared to extreme hot and cold weather conditions. The findings of the study indicate that the utilisation of VFD technology exhibits commendable adaptability and yields favourable outcomes in regions with varying temperature ranges. The minimum PUE value recorded was 1.228. © 2023 IEEE.

Electric vehicles (EV s) boast zero tailpipe emissions, directly improving air quality and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Despite the promise of EVs for sustainable transportation, their limited range is a key challenge. Regenerative braking is a promising approach for enhancing the driving range. This research proposes a study of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic (IT2FL) control to improve regenerative braking efficiency in an electric trike. Employing IT2FL control for regenerative braking recovers 35.84% of energy, translating to a 91.053 km increase in driving range. The IT2FL method achieved a range of 50 km/kWh, representing a significant 41.7% improvement. Furthermore, utilizing the Nie-Tan Method reducer within the IT2FL framework could extend the range by an additional 2.3 km, resulting in a 3 % increase in energy recovery. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of IT2FL control in enhancing regenerative braking efficiency for the electric trike.

Multilingual Neural Machine Translation (NMT) excels in sharing knowledge across languages and transferring insights from high-resource languages to improve performance in low-resource languages. However, its performance lags in specific domains such as legal and medical. Previous works have focused on adding language-specific and domain-specific adapters to achieve domain adaptation. Although effective, these adapter-based methods only use domain data to train additional parameters, limiting the performance of multilingual NMT. In this paper, we propose CDSTX, a novel approach that achieves robust multilingual domain adaptation without relying on adapters, solely leveraging multilingual models. Specifically, we utilize the pretrained model XLM-R and frozen embeddings to preserve its robust multilingual capabilities and design a two-stage training strategy for domain adaptation. This includes separate training for the decoder and fine-tuning of the entire model, ensuring that the model effectively acquires domain knowledge and correctly represents domain-specific text. Moreover, to better utilize the domain information conveyed implicitly by the training data, we devise special domain tokens at the beginning of the source and target sentences called Source&Target Domain Tags. In addition, back translation is employed to enhance the cross-lingual transfer ability of our approach. Our proposed method is evaluated on two datasets across three translation tasks: Single-domain Multilingual NMT, Multi-domain bilingual NMT, and Multilingual Multi-domain NMT. Notably, in the single-domain multilingual NMT task, CDSTX significantly enhances zero-shot domain translation performance, achieving improvements of up to +30 BLEU points through the utilization of back-translation techniques. Computing the maximal (robust) positive invari-ant (M(R)PI) set for linear dynamics and a polyhedral constraint set is well-known in the literature but, the effects and limitations of the different methods employed are not sufficiently clear, especially for high dimensional systems. In this paper we propose a systematic analysis of the existing techniques as well as the application of new ideas to accelerate the computation of the MPI set. This includes new stop conditions for the set recurrence that spans it. We analyze and compare these variations over a dynamical system whose dimension can be arbitrarily increased to draw conclusions about their relative strengths and weaknesses.

This article presents an alternative approach to reduce the switching frequency in switching elements within power electronic converters. The aim is to address the challenges of conventional semiconductor devices in high-frequency switching, such as switch transition times and high-frequency pulse generation. With the proposed configuration, the semiconductor switch components and pulse generator operate at a lower frequency than the output frequency of the converter. Simulations to verify the approach will be conducted using PLECS software.

Complicated nonlinear intensity differences, nonlinear local geometric distortions, noises and rotation transformation are main challenges in multimodal image matching. In order to solve these problems, we propose a method based on Frequency-domain Information of Local Energy Response called FILER. The core of FILER is the local energy response model based on frequency-domain information, which can overcome the effect of nonlinear intensity differences. To improve the robustness to local nonlinear geometric distortions and noises, we design a new edge structure enhanced feature detector and convolutional feature weighted descriptor, respectively. In addition, FILER overcomes the sensitivity of the frequency-domain information to the rotation angle and achieves rotation invariance. This paper investigates all kinds of access entrance guard control systems at home and abroad and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages. COVID-19 epidemic has a serious impact on life, travel must wear a mask, so that the access entrance guard control system can not carry out face recognition under the mask. In view of this kind of situation, an embedded face recognition access entrance guard control system with mask based on EAIDK-310 development board is designed. The system can complete face recognition and body temperature measurement without contact, and drive the motor to open the gate. After testing, the system is suitable for deployment in companies, communities, campuses and other small application scenarios.
