Skin cancer's increasing incidence rates necessitate advanced diagnostic tools. This research uses MobileNet architecture to develop an enhanced system for skin cancer detection. MobileNet's efficient CNN architecture, combined with Keras for model lifecycle management and TensorFlow for real-time inference, forms the foundation of this study. Using 10,015 dermatoscopic pictures from seven different classifications of skin cancer in the HAM10000 dataset, the methodology includes several key stages: image preprocessing to correct illumination and adjust resolution, data augmentation to balance the dataset, and model training using Transfer Learning. The MobileNet model was trained over 50 epochs with a comprehensive architecture incorporating multiple specialized layers. By combining large-scale data analysis and adaptive learning, this methodology demonstrates The revolutionary possibilities of AI and ML in improving skin cancer diagnostics and public health outcomes. Attendance systems have become more modern, and one of the biometric systems without physical contact is face recognition. However, many face-based attendance systems still carry out attendance individually and cannot detect multiple faces simultaneously. In addition, capturing facial data in real-time is still a challenge because the relatively large distance between the camera and the individual reduces the ability to recognize faces. The general solution is to use super-resolution to generate better-quality faces while maintaining the main facial recognition features. One technique still being researched is super-resolution generative adversarial networks (SRGAN). SRGAN can enlarge the resolution of captured images and maintain image quality sufficient for face recognition. The attendance system can be easily integrated into edge devices such as the Jetson Nano. This paper proposes automatic and effective attendance systems with the super-resolution technique to detect and recognize faces in low-resolution input. The experimental results show that using face data capture with a resolution of 40 × 40 pixels and a four-fold magnification results in a resolution of 160 × 160 pixels. Combining Face SRGAN with FaceNet architecture as the basis of face recognition can achieve an accuracy rate of 78.19% and an F1-Score of 81.13% with an average processing time of 1.61 seconds per frame on a PC and 14.55 seconds per frame on a Jetson Nano at an average of face recognition per frame of as many as up to 8 faces simultaneously.

The rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has enabled the widespread deployment of health monitoring systems. Traditionally, the health monitoring system has been limited by centralized processing and storage in the cloud, leading to latency issues and potential data loss. This paper introduces a smart sleep monitoring system based on edge computing, utilizing microservices architecture and caching techniques. The proposed system employs edge computing to enable data processing closer to the source, reducing latency and improving real-time monitoring capabilities. Caching is employed to reduce database load and optimize random access memory (RAM) usage. This research addresses latency and response time challenges on IoT health monitoring platforms in environments with poor network quality while optimizing database load and resource usage on Jetson Nano as the edge computing device. Using Electrocardiogram (ECG) data as input, the proposed system yields impressive performance metrics. The research results indicate that the proposed system can increase throughput by 26.92 KB/s, reduce response time by 18.8 ms, and decrease latency by 20.86 ms compared to the previous work. Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) integration reduces CPU usage by approximately 40% and RAM usage by about 81.24%.

Smart cities promise a lot of well-being to their users in all areas of life through millions of applications and services. Smart services rely heavily on collecting data and the preferences of users. But on the dark side, the users' information is posed to threat and penetration during transmission or stored far in the clouds. Depending on encryption only is not sufficient if the attacker has strong resources or if the attacker is the service provider (SP) itself. In addition, changing data before sending is not a practical solution in many systems because of the adverse impact on the quality of a main service. This research presented a new idea to address the issue of protection. The proposed method enhanced the privacy and security of users' data without affecting the accuracy of service. The core of the suggested solution relies on a knowledge base of services that are managed by experts. Also, the solution depends on fog nodes to measure the level of security and privacy of users' queries without delay. Moreover, the fog nodes manage contact with SPs. Finally, the proposed method divided the SP into two, one for user queries and the other for user data. The simulation and analytical discussion on a practical case in smart cities demonstrated the superiority of the proposed approach over previous methods in the level of protection by maintaining the quality of services, and the resistance to attacks. © 2023 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

Companies that are ready to compete must have effective management. To improve employee performance in effective management, it is necessary to support competent and competent employees in their fields. Employees who have an attitude of struggle, dedication, discipline, and professional ability are very likely to have work performance in carrying out their duties so that they are more efficient and effective. To increase employee morale, the Company will reward the best employees and be loyal to the company. This is done as an appreciation for what the employee has done for the company in achieving the company's targets. Decision making to determine the best employees can be done by the company by assessing the performance that has been done by its employees within a certain period of time. Employee performance appraisal is influenced by several criteria, namely attitude, attendance, performance and Service Period. The decision support system for selecting the best employees uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, where the decision-making process is carried out by assessing alternative choices based on predetermined criteria and can also help the Company to make the best employee decisions. The alternative matrix calculation yields a score of 25.1% for Safrizal, 25.8% for Dedek Rizky, 25.1% for Amira Syakira and 24.0% for Reni Kumala, and the employee who is recommended as the best employee is the employee with the highest score, namely Dedek Rizky with a score of 25.8%. © 2021 IEEE.

The rapid population growth and industrial development in developing countries harm the agricultural sector because many agricultural lands are converted into residential or industrial areas. Applying modern agriculture technologies such as hydroponic could help to overcome the problem. However, hydroponics requires special attention in adjusting the pH and nutrient levels to maximize plant growth, so an automated system is needed to manage the process. In this research, a smart hydroponic system is proposed by applying Adaptive Networkbased Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) and Internet-of-Things. The IoT system consists of sensor, actuator, and data processing layer is designed to monitor and control the condition of pH and nutrition of the observed plants. Then, the ANFIS algorithm is designed to control the level of pH and nutrition. The experiment results show that the system can automatically adjust the pH and nutrient levels to the expected range for growing plants, and the fuzzy controller made using ANFIS are more accurate and stable than the fuzzy controller made using Sugeno. This study shows that ANFIS has excellent performance when controlling multiple actuators, as long as the data set has great granularity and well defined.

This paper demonstrates the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between teams of medical researchers, product design researchers, and computer science students. Their combined work resulted in both a concept and a product, a Smart Health Assistive Bag for children being hospitalized. The Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit at Sheba Medical Center provides mental health services to children suffering from a variety of psychopathological conditions. The multidisciplinary staff takes a family-oriented approach where parents and caregivers are encouraged to be active participants in the treatment team throughout their child's stay. Our work focused on the design and development of a Smart Bag, which supports this family-oriented approach, encourages the involvement of the family during the child's stay and collects new data for future functional analysis. engineering and design students from both Shenkar and the Technion worked with Sheba's clinicians to create a conceptual prototype that advances the defined theoretical needs and build a working prototype. Our Smart Bag aimed at aiding child hospitalizations in the Psychiatrist Inpatient Unit is an important innovative tool for Sheba's Smart Health facility. It is designed to help the child in adjusting to the unit and be an active participant in their daily routine while in the unit. Additionally, because it has IoT sensors and is linked to a network through a digital platform, it supports the child's family and caregivers in staying updated regarding the child's progress. The Smart Bag can apprise the family about the child's daily achievements by informing them of tokens given to the child for desirable behavior. It updates both family and caregivers regarding the current stage in the child's treatment. Such on-going communication involving the child, caregivers and clinicians reduces the stress and worry that families often feel when their child is hospitalized in the Psychiatrist Unit and improves the therap

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a type of dementia that leads to memory loss and impairment, which afects patients’ lives badly. It is not curable yet, but its progression can be slowed down if detected at earlier stages. In this research study, we propose a transfer learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) model to classify magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into one of four stages of Alzheimer's disease. One of the major limitations of the deep learning-based classification model is the non-availability of healthcare datasets related to AD. The widely used Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset has a major class imbalance issue. We propose a generative adversarial network (GAN) based data augmentation technique to overcome the data imbalance. This promotes the investigation of applying GANs to generate synthetic samples for minority classes in Alzheimer's disease datasets to enhance classification performance. The results show the progression in the overall classification process of AD.
