The Kerr nonlinearity in two-dimensional(2D)nanomaterials is emerging as an appealing and intriguing research area due to their prominent light processing,modulation,and manipulation *** this contribution,2D black arsenic-phosphorus(B-AsP)nanosheets(NSs)were applied in nonlinear photonic devices based on spatial self-phase modula-tion(SSPM)*** applying the Kerr nonlinearity in 2D B-AsP,an all-optical phase-modulated system is proposed to realize the functions of“on”and“off”in all-optical *** using the same all-optical phase-modulated system,another optical logic gate is proposed,and the logical“or”function is obtained based on the 2D B-AsP NSs ***,by using the SSPM method,a 2D B-AsP/SnS_(2) hybrid structure is fabricated,and the result illustrates that the hybrid structure possesses the ability of the unidirectional nonlinear excitation,which helps in obtaining the function of spatial asymmetric light *** function is considered an important prerequisite for the realization of diode functionalization,which is believed to be a factor in important basis for the design of isolators as *** initial investig-ations indicate that 2D B-AsP is applicable for designing optical logical devices,which can be considered as an import-ant development in all-optical information processing.

The optimization of cognitive radio(CR)system using an enhanced firefly algorithm(EFA)is presented in this *** Firefly algorithm(FA)is a nature-inspired algorithm based on the unique light-flashing behavior of *** has already proved its competence in various optimization prob-lems,but it suffers from slow convergence *** improve the convergence performance of FA,a new variant named EFA is *** effectiveness of EFA as a good optimizer is demonstrated by optimizing benchmark functions,and simulation results show its superior performance compared to biogeography-based optimization(BBO),bat algorithm,artificial bee colony,and *** an application of this algorithm to real-world problems,EFA is also applied to optimize the CR *** is a revolutionary technique that uses a dynamic spectrum allocation strategy to solve the spectrum scarcity ***,it requires optimization to meet specific performance *** results obtained by EFA in CR system optimization are compared with results in the literature of BBO,simulated annealing,and genetic *** results further prove that the proposed algorithm is highly efficient and provides superior results.

In thermofluid systems,the lid-driven square chamber plays an imperative role in analyzing thermodynamics’first and second laws in limited volume cases executed by sheer effects with a prominent role in many industrial applications including electronic cooling,heat exchangers,microfluidic components,solar collectors,and renewable ***,nanofluids as working fluids have demonstrated potential for heat transfer enhancement systems,however there are some concerns about irreversibility problems in the *** to this problem and in line with the applications of partial slip on fluid flow modification and irreversibilities,the present study considers laminar mixed convection and entropy generation analysis of aluminum oxide nanofluid inside a lid-driven wavy cavity having an internal conductive solid body in the presence of a partial slip on the upper surface,which to the best of our knowledge,has not been investigated so *** fundamental equations of the current work with the appropriate boundary conditions are first made dimensionless and then solved numerically using the Galerkin weighted residual *** main parameters of the flow and heat transfer,entropy generation,and Bejan number are presented and explained in *** outcomes indicate that the partial slip is more effective when friction irreversibilities govern the *** the presence of slip condition,the flow circulation changes the trend in the middle of the cavity around the solid block leading to a decrease in the isentropic lines at the dense sections with almost 30%less than the case of no-slip *** is concluded that partial slip shows different trends on the local Nusselt number interface along the wavy wall improving the average Nusselt number where high friction irreversibilities dominate.

Niobium telluride(NbTe_(2)),an emerging transition metal dichalcogenide material,has been theoretically predicted to have nonlinear absorption properties and excellent optical ***,only a few studies of the utilization of NbTe_(2)in ultrafast photonics have been *** this work,a NbTe_(2)-based saturable absorber(SA)was applied in an erbium-doped fiber as a mode-locked device,and a vector soliton based on NbTe_(2)was obtained for the first ***_(2)-PVA film SA was successfully prepared by the liquid-phase exfoliation and spin coating methods,with a modulation depth of up to 10.87%.The nonlinear absorption coefficient of NbTe_(2)-based SA film tested through the open-aperture Z-scan laser measurement is 0.62×10^(−11) m/W.A conventional soliton with a pulse duration of 858 fs was generated using NbTe_(2)-based SA,which was demonstrated to be a kind of polarization-locked vector soliton in further *** experimental results reveal the nonlinear optical properties of NbTe_(2)and broaden its applications in ultrafast photonic devices.

The fracture behavior of oxide dispersion strengthened（ODS） 410 L stainless steels was investigated by means of small punch testing and scanning electron *** results showed that there are noticeable strengthening effects by the addition of 0.9 μm yttria into 410 L *** punch testing was also conducted on a specimen of ODS 410 L steel with 50 nm yttria irradiated by helium ion beam with a dose of 2 × 10 *** small punch test is an effective method to reveal the irradiation effects in the materials.

The present work emphasizes the significance of oscillatory mixed convection stratified fluid and heat transfer characteristics at different stations of non-conducting horizontally circular cylinder in the presence of thermally stratified *** remove the difficulties in illustrating the coupled PDE’s,the finite-difference scheme with efficient primitive-variable formulation is proposed to transform dimensionless *** numerical simulations of coupled non-dimensional equations are computed in terms velocity of fluid,temperature and magnetic field which are computed to examine the fluctuating components of skin friction,heat transfer and current density for various emerging *** governing parameters namely,thermally stratification parameter𝑆𝑆𝑡𝑡,mixed-convection parameter𝜆𝜆,Prandtl number Pr,magnetic force parameter𝜉𝜉and magnetic-Prandtl number𝛾𝛾are displayed graphically at selected values for velocity and heat transfer *** is computed that heat transfer attains maximum amplitude and good variations in the presence of thermally stratified parameter at each position𝛼𝛼=𝜋𝜋6⁄,𝛼𝛼=𝜋𝜋3⁄and𝛼𝛼=𝜋𝜋around the surface of non-conducting horizontally *** velocity of fluid attains certain height at station𝛼𝛼=𝜋𝜋6⁄for higher value of stratification *** is also found that the temperature gradient decreases with stratification parameter𝑆𝑆𝑡𝑡,but it increases after a certain distance𝑌𝑌from the *** novelty of the current work is that due to non-conducting phenomena the magnetic effects are strongly observed far from the surface but exact at the surface are zero for each position.

Herein,Ag_(1-3x)Sm_(x)NbO_(3)(0≤x≤0.025)antiferroelectric ceramics were successfully synthesized by solid state *** effect of Sm 3þdoping on the structure,property and energy storage performance were *** the increasing Sm^(3+)concentrations,the average grain size ***,the stability of high temperature M phases(i.e.,the structure between T_(f) and T_(3))was expanded,which led to low loss for energy *** of structure analysis and ferroelectric tests revealed the existence of weakly polar/AFE-like phase below T_(f).The Sm 3þdoping tended to suppress the ferroelectric behavior and expand the stability of ***,a significantly enhanced energy storage performance(W_(rec)=3.8 J/cm^(3),η=73%)could be achieved in Ag_(0.97)Sm_(0.01)NbO_(3) ceramic,which was almost 1.5 times larger than that in non-doped AgNbO_(3)(W_(rec)=2.4 J/cm^(3),η=45%)under the similar applied field of 1705 kV/cm±.In particular,the performance of the ceramic showed great temperature stability with variation of±5%from 25℃ to 125℃.These results indicated that the Ag_(0.97)Sm_(0.01)NbO_(3) ceramic could be an ideal lead-free candidate used in the energy storage field.

Nowadays some new ideas of fractional derivatives have been used successfully in the present research community to study different types of mathematical *** them,the significant models of fluids and heat or mass transfer are on *** recently a new idea of fractal-fractional derivative is introduced;however,it is not used for heat transfer in channel *** this article,we have studied this new idea of fractal fractional operators with power-law kernel for heat transfer in a fluid flow *** exactly,we have considered the free convection heat transfer for a Newtonian *** flow is bounded between two parallel static *** of the plates is heated *** proposed problem is modeled with a fractal fractional derivative operator with a power-law kernel and solved via the Laplace transform method to find out the exact *** results are graphically analyzed via MathCad-15 software to study the behavior of fractal parameters and fractional *** the influence of temperature and velocity profile,it is observed that the fractional parameter raised the velocity and temperature as compared to the fractal ***,a combined approach of fractal fractional explains the memory of the function better than fractional only.
