Graph clustering is a powerful technique used to identify and group similar nodes within a complex network structure. This procedure involves segmenting the graph into distinct groups, with the nodes in each group having strong interconnections or similar characteristics. In this survey, we will highlight a variety of existing approaches of graph clustering, including spectral clustering, modularity optimization and hierarchical clustering, to efficiently discover meaningful clusters, facilitating analysis and decision-making in diverse fields ranging from data science and network analysis to social sciences and bioinformatics. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a comprehensive dataset of Egyptian roads integrated with chaotic scenarios captured by EGY-DRiVeS' lab golf car to aid in developing the autonomous driving experience. Using Velodyne 3D laser scanners, C922 Pro HD webcams, and iPhone 11 Pro cameras, a cumulative recording time of 3 hours and 48 minutes was documented. This included 1 hour and 15 minutes of LiDAR recordings, 1 hour and 45 minutes of camera recordings, and 48 minutes and 13 seconds of synced recordings. The dataset encompasses diverse scenarios and objects, ranging from urban environments with dynamic and static objects to rural highways. In-campus roads and intersections are also included, providing real-world scenarios such as vehicular and pedestrian behavior within campus premises. Each part of the dataset is annotated with 2D bounding boxes offering detailed information about vehicles, pedestrians and road objects. The provided data are calibrated, synchronized, and timestamped. Alongside the dataset, data format specifications, annotated data samples, and all supplementary recordings are provided upon request. © 2024 IEEE.

A three-step SEM-Bayesian network approach for predicting the determinants of CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption

Adopting the CloudIoT-based healthcare paradigm provides various prospects for medical IT and considerably enhances healthcare services. However, compared to the advanced development of CloudIoT-based healthcare systems, their usage is relatively low among healthcare professionals in hospitals. Thus, a study on the healthcare professionals acceptance and adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare is critical. This study explores factors influencing healthcare professionals adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare solutions by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of technology 2 model. Data was collected from 300 healthcare professionals in Jordan through an online questionnaire developed using the Google^® form application. The Bayesian Network and Structural Equation Modeling techniques were used to analyze and validate the proposed model. The results revealed that the healthcare professional’s behavioral intention is directly affected by seven factors: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, habit, trust, privacy, and security. The results also indicate that trust mediates the influence of privacy, facilitating conditions, and performance expectancy on behavioral intention. The research results will aid CloudIoT service providers, healthcare organizations, designers, and developers by offering comprehensive knowledge of the significant factors of CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption. A better understanding of these factors will help these stakeholder groups enhance their services and speed up the adoption of CloudIoT in the healthcare area. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management 2024.

Time series analysis, which is used to predict future values from past data, is an indispensable part of decision-making and policy-planning processes. For this reason, this field, which has a wide literature, is widely applied in many areas from economy to engineering, from climate science to health sector. In this study, the application of LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory), BiLSTM (Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory), and GRU (Gated Recurrent Unit) methods on the stock price dataset of two electric vehicle companies is investigated in order to predict future values. LSTM, Bi-LSTM, and GRU methods are types of RNNs used in time series analysis to identify long-term dependencies in ordered data. The data set is separated into 80% training, and 20% test data. The data is normalized to make accurate predictions and to determine the relationship between past values and future values. MAPE, RMSE, R2, MSE, and MAE performance metrics are used to measure the performance of the data set. The stock predicting models of LSTM, Bi-LSTM, and GRU methods are compared, and the results show that the GRU method significantly outperforms the existing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Assessing and prioritizing crucial drivers for CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption: an analytic hierarchy process approach

The CloudIoT paradigm has profoundly transformed the healthcare industry, providing outstanding innovation and practical applications. However, despite its many advantages, the adoption of this paradigm in healthcare settings remains limited. There is a lack of comprehensive understanding of the factors that ensure successful implementation. To address this issue, we have used the Analytic Hierarchy Process to prioritize 26 factors that could potentially influence the adoption of CloudIoT-based healthcare. These factors were derived from existing literature and categorized into four main groups: personal-specific, technology-specific, environment-specific, and organization-specific factors. Our findings revealed that performance expectancy, trust, facilitating conditions, task complexity, and perceived security are the top five critical factors influencing CloudIoT-based healthcare adoption. Interestingly, our results indicated that environmental factors were less influential than those in the other categories, with personal, technological, and organizational factors dominating the top ten significant factors. The insights from this study can help policymakers, CloudIoT service providers, healthcare providers, designers, and developers better understand the factors contributing to the successful implementation of CloudIoT-based healthcare. This understanding can guide decision-making and inform the development of strategies to promote the broader adoption of this innovative technology. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management 2024.

In this research we aim to develop a Computer-aided diagnostic system (CAD) for breast ultrasound imaging to enhance the early detection of breast cancer. CAD tools aid physicians in the diagnostic process leading to early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The proposed CAD tool comprises three stages, the first is enhancement of breast ultrasound imaging by applying custom segmentation deep learning architectures [U-Net, SK-U-Net, RDA-U-Net] to enhance the isolation of masses in Ultrasound images, then generation of new ultrasound images by employing Generative Adversarial Networks [DAGAN, DCGAN] to overcome data limitation in available data-sets, and the last stage is the detection and classification of breast cancer masses by a CNN model. The enhancement stage shows promising results with accuracy of 98 % overall accuracy, 92 % overall precision, and 85 % overall *** Relevance: Breast cancer is one of the deadly diseases in the world. The earlier the detection the higher the chances of recovery. Thus a CAD tool that facilitates the screening process of ultrasound images will aid physicians in the early detection and diagnosis of the disease. © 2023 IEEE.

The aim of this review is to explore the relationship between the architecture of microservices and antisocial behavior. Microservice architecture is a software design approach that involves decomposing a system into small, independent services that can offer benefits such as flexibility and scalability. Expected result is to analyze dataset of statuses, which defines the length of time the status displays on the user’s device. Because people spend time on social networks at every opportunity, even for hours. When combined with the time-valued, we try to gain a deeper understanding of social networks and users behavior. They are forced into this behavior through the feedback loop mechanism of the neurotransmitter Dopamine. Predicting vehicles' motion on highways has become crucial for enhancing road safety and traffic flow. Deep learning, which reached exceptional results in various applications, is now the leading approach for vehicle motion prediction. This work presents a deep learning-based model using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to classify vehicle intentions into lane-keeping, left lane-changing, and right lane-changing. Utilizing the PREVENTION dataset, which provides naturalistic driving data, a sequence of centre points, longitudinal distances, lateral distances and yaw angles of a vehicle has been extracted to train the model to predict lane changes effectively. The model consists of three LSTM layers, a dense output layer and a drop out added between layers to prevent overfitting. Experiments focusing on optimizing the model parameters, learning rate, sequence length, and batch size, were conducted to determine their impact on prediction effectiveness. The best-performing model showed significant results in lane changing prediction, achieving an accuracy of 84%, precision of 89%, and recall of 82%. Future work will aim to train the model on more complex features, to account for vehicle inter-dependencies and interactions, and test model on various highway scenarios for a more reliable system. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigated the predictive capabilities of three decision tree models for IoT botnet attack prediction using packet information while minimizing the number of predictors. The study employed three decision tree models (C5, CHAID, and Random Forest) and two additional models (Logistic Regression and Bayesian Network) for comparison purposes. The IoT botnet attack dataset comprised various devices, mainly two types of attacks (Gafgyt and Mirai) and 23 feature engineering variables. Simulation results from all models showed that Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and False Omission Rate (FOR) values are approximately one, with an F1 score of around 0.5. CHAID and C5 models outperform other models in predicting IoT botnet attacks, as they are developed using only four and two variables, respectively. These results demonstrated that decision tree models with fewer variables can perform better than models that utilize all predictors. © 2024 IEEE.

Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR)-assisted Model Predictive Control (MPC) for wind turbine control has received much attention for its ability to incorporate future wind speed disturbance information in a receding horizon optimal control problem. However, the growth of wind turbine sizes results in increasing system complexity and system interactions, and complicates the design of model-based controllers like MPC. Together with increasing data availability, this obstacle motivates the use of direct data-driven predictive control approaches like Subspace Predictive Control (SPC). An SPC implementation is developed that both does not suffer from traditional, potentially detrimental closed-loop identification bias and incorporates past and future (not necessarily periodic) disturbance information. Simulations of the presented method for above-rated wind turbine rotor speed regulation using pitch control demonstrate the capabilities of the data-driven SPC algorithm for increasing degrees of wind speed disturbance information in the developed framework. © 2023 IEEE.
