Generally aircraft cabin receives translational accelerations in 3 axes and rotational accelerations around 3 axes during flight. Those translational and rotational accelerations generate uncomfortable movements and vibrations of aircraft. The purpose of the present study is to realize a sway-free cabin inside the aircraft. In order to realize sway-free cabin, fundamental data of the commercial jet transport have been measured and analyzed. The results show that pitch angle of jet transport varies from -4 degrees to 30 degrees against to local horizon, maximum angular velocity is 0.25 rad/s in pitching motion, and maximum acceleration is 4.65 m/s2 in z axis. To realize sway-free cabin, motions of aircraft are divided into two motions of angular motions and translational motions. Angular motions can be solved by using gimbal mechanism. For translational motions horizontal and lateral motions can be dumped by just like air caster. However, vertical motion needs special treatment. In the present study to compensate vertical motion of sway-free cabin special equipment has been newly proposed. The equipment moves in order to compensate vertical motion of sway-free *** Mat lab analysis has been conducted to make sure the block diagram of the mechanism of compensation of vertical motion of sway-free cabin. The results show proposed special equipment and the mechanism of compensation of vertical motion of sway-free cabin can work well to realize sway-free cabin. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to maintain the optimal operating temperature of the battery surface and meet the demand for thermal storage technology,battery thermal management system based on phase change materials has attracted increasing *** this work,a kind of core-shell structured microcapsule was synthesized by an in-situ polymerization,where paraffin was used as the core,while methanol was applied to mod-ify the melamine-formaldehyde shell to reduce toxicity and improve thermal ***,three different types of heat conductive fillers with the same content of 10 wt.%,i.e.,nano-Al_(2)O_(3),nano-ZnO and carbon nanotubes were added,generating *** microcapsules were uniform,and were not affected by the thermal fillers,which were evenly dispersed *** composite sample with carbon nanotubes(10 wt.%)showed the highest thermal conductivity of 0.50 W/(m K)and latent heat of 139.64 J/***,according to the leakage testing and battery charge/discharge experiments,compared with Al_(2)O_(3)and ZnO,the addition of carbon nanotubes remarkably enhances the heat storage ability as latent heat from 126.98 J/g for the prepared sample with Al_(2)O_(3)and 125.86 J/g for the one with ZnO,then to 139.64 J/g,as well as dissipation performance as a cooling effect by decreasing the sur-face temperature of battery from 2%to 12%of microcapsule,composite sample with carbon nanotubes presents a broad application prospect in battery thermal management system and energy storage field.

Two-dimensional linear optical sampling is presented for observing ultrafast spatiotemporal complex signals. By directly observing complex cross-sectional images, the technique is useful for spatial modes of multimode/multicore fibres. In this study, we propose a novel pre-learning approach for genetic programming (GP) that aims to investigate the effect of the probability of being selected for each operator. Furthermore, we present a technique that combines chaos theory and searches for a relatively good possibility mapping for each operator using one-dimensional chaotic mapping. We conducted several sets of comparative experiments on real-world data to test the viability of the proposal. These experiments included comparisons with conventional GP, examination of the impact of various chaotic mappings on the proposed algorithm, and implementation of different optimization strategies to find the relative optimal probability mapping. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve better results than conventional GP in the tested dataset, without considering the total quantitative calculation amount. Through statistical tests, it has been proven that the proposed method is significantly different from the conventional method. However, the discussion regarding the circumstances under which the proposed method can obtain better results when the total calculation amount is limited is not yet fully explored due to the small-scale nature of the experiments. This research presents a new music generation model and a novel MIDI data format for MIDI music generation. This innovative data format allows us to process MIDI music in a manner analogous to video analysis. Initially, the model employs Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) as an encoder to effectively capture local and global features within the musical data. Subsequently, we utilize a Transformer as a decoder, leveraging its self-attention mechanism to handle the long-term dependencies present in music data. In the training process, an interactive chaotic algorithm is introduced to update the model’s weights, assisting the model in avoiding entrapment in local optima. This enhances the learning efficiency of the model and improves the quality of the generated output, enabling the model to generate music, including accompaniment, that aligns with human aesthetics from any given melody. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Robots capable of human communication play crucial roles in various daily tasks, particularly in nursing and mental healthcare. Effective emotion expression is essential for robots to perform these tasks proficiently. However, prior methods for robot emotion expression often involve complex designs, making them costly and impractical for widespread application. Additionally, color-based methods for emotional expression have not been thoroughly explored within the Vietnamese cultural context, where nuances in color interpretation are significant. This study is the first to specifically investigate cultural differences in emotional expression for robots using colors and gradients tailored to Vietnamese demographics. Moreover, we propose a simple, cost-effective design for robot emotion expression that addresses the shortcomings of previous approaches, which rely on complex and expensive designs, while still being capable of expressing complicated emotions such as dyads. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of these models in conveying extended emotional states and dyads, independent of traditional human-like expressions. These findings underscore the practical potential of such models, particularly within Vietnamese nursing and mental healthcare sectors. © 2025 ICIC International.

We present a novel approach to predicting the pressure and flow rate of flexible electrohydrodynamic pumps using the Kolmogorov-Arnold *** by the Kolmogorov-Arnold representation theorem,KAN replaces fixed activation functions with learnable spline-based activation functions,enabling it to approximate complex nonlinear functions more effectively than traditional models like Multi-Layer Perceptron and Random *** evaluated KAN on a dataset of flexible EHD pump parameters and compared its performance against RF,and MLP *** achieved superior predictive accuracy,with Mean Squared Errors of 12.186 and 0.012 for pressure and flow rate predic-tions,*** symbolic formulas extracted from KAN provided insights into the nonlinear relationships between input parameters and pump *** findings demonstrate that KAN offers exceptional accuracy and interpretability,making it a promising alternative for predictive modeling in electrohydrodynamic pumping.

Development of deep neural network model to predict the compressive strength of FRCM confined columns

The present study describes a reliability analysis of the strength model for predicting concrete columns confinement influence with Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix(FRCM).through both physical models and Deep Neural Network model(artificial neural network(ANN)with double and triple hidden layers).The database of 330 samples collected for the training model contains many important parameters,i.e.,section type(circle or square),corner radius rc,unconfined concrete strength fco,thickness nt,the elastic modulus of fiber Ef,the elastic modulus of mortar *** results revealed that the proposed ANN models well predicted the compressive strength of FRCM with high prediction *** ANN model with double hidden layers(APDL-1)was shown to be the best to predict the compressive strength of FRCM confined columns compared with the ACI design code and five physical ***,the results also reveal that the unconfined compressive strength of concrete,type of fiber mesh for FRCM,type of section,and the corner radius ratio,are the most significant input variables in the efficiency of FRCM confinement *** performance of the proposed ANN models(including double and triple hidden layers)had high precision with R higher than 0.93 and RMSE smaller than 0.13,as compared with other models from the literature available.

Given a graph G and two spanning trees T and T′ in G, Spanning Tree Reconfiguration asks whether there is a step-by-step transformation from T to T′ such that all intermediates are also spanning trees of G, by exchanging an edge in T with an edge outside T at a single step. This problem is naturally related to matroid theory, which shows that there always exists such a transformation for any pair of T and T′. Motivated by this example, we study the problem of transforming a sequence of spanning trees into another sequence of spanning trees. We formulate this problem in the language of matroid theory: Given two sequences of bases of matroids, the goal is to decide whether there is a transformation between these sequences. We design a polynomial-time algorithm for this problem, even if the matroids are given as basis oracles. To complement this algorithmic result, we show that the problem of finding a shortest transformation is NP-hard to approximate within a factor of clog n for some constant c > 0, where n is the total size of the ground sets of the input matroids. © Tesshu Hanaka, Yuni Iwamasa, Yasuaki Kobayashi, Yuto Okada, and Rin Saito.
