In view of the impact of uncertain factors faced by Virtual Reality (VR) video services in the Internet of Vehicles, if the impact of different uncertain factors can be identified, targeted optimization can be made to achieve a better and more personalized user experience. A stochastic resource allocation model for VR video services is developed and turned into a chance-constrained programming problem, which is solved using an optimization solver. This work discusses the concept of shaply value in cooperative games for the first time in order to analyze the marginal contributions of different random variables in chance-constrained programming, and proposes an Explainable Chance-Constrained Programming (ECCP). The marginal contributions of different random variables under different confidence levels and probability distributions are exhibited and evaluated in the experimental test, allowing the degree of influence of uncertainty factors to be explained and analyzed. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

TEE systems provide normal world and secure world. It is impossible to gain access to the secure world directly from the normal world. However, vulnerabilities in the secure world can cause attacks to compromise the secure world. In this study, we investigate the security features applied to trusted applications (TA) in OP-TEE and clarify the lack of protection against stack buffer overflow in TA command calls. We also propose a method for preventing attacks that exploit stack buffer overflows in TA command calls. In addition, the experimental results show that attacks on the vulnerable TAs can be prevented with the proposed method and the overhead can be evaluated. © 2023 IEEE.

Blockchain has become a popular paradigm for secure and immutable data storage. Despite its numerous applications across various fields, concerns regarding the user privacy and result integrity during data queries persist. Additionally, the need for rich query functionalities to harness the full potential of blockchain data remains an area ripe for exploration. In order to address these challenges, our paper first utilizes a framework based on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and oblivious RAM technique to achieve both privacy and data integrity. To enhance the query efficiency over the entire blockchain, we then devise a two-level learned indexing methodology named TELEX within the TEE for both integer and string keys. We also propose different query processing algorithms for versatile query types, including exact queries, aggregate queries, Boolean queries, and range queries. By implementing the prototype and conducting extensive evaluation, we demonstrate the feasibility and remarkable improvement in efficiency compared to existing solutions. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

Yeast has been an indispensable host for synthesizing complex plant-derived naturalcompounds, yet the yields remained largely constrained. This limitation mainly arises from overlookingthe importance of cell and pathway suitability during the optimization of enzymes and pathways. Herein,beyond conventional enzyme engineering, we dissected metabolic suitability with a framework forsimultaneously augmenting cofactors and carbon flux to enhance the biosynthesis of heterogenoustriterpenoids. We further developed phospholipid microenvironment engineering strategies, dramaticallyimproving yeast’s suitability for the high performance of endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-localized, ratelimitingplant P450s. Combining metabolic and microenvironment suitability by manipulating only threegenes, NHMGR (NADH-dependent HMG-CoA reductase), SIP4 (a DNA-binding transcription factor)andGPP1 (Glycerol-1-phosphate phosphohydrolase 1), we enabled the high-level production of 4.92 g/L rarelicorice triterpenoids derived from consecutive oxidation of b-amyrin by two P450 enzymes afterfermentation optimization. This production holds substantial commercial value, highlighting the criticalrole of establishing cell suitability in enhancing triterpenoid biosynthesis and offering a versatileframework applicable to various plant natural product biosynthetic pathways.

In the development of anode materials for magnesium rechargeable batteries, our research team has discovered the potential of the single roll rapid solidification method as a manufacturing method. The requirements for the fabrication of anode materials by the single roll rapid solidification method are thinness, length, width, and a ribbon with good surface properties. Therefore, in this study, the behavior of the molten metal inside the nozzle was confirmed using general-purpose thermal-fluid CAE software. The nozzle interior and nozzle aperture geometry are designed considering the results. The models considered in the CAE analysis are the slope angle of the nozzle interior, the length, area, and shape of the opening gate. The nozzle model with good results in the CAE analysis was fabricated, and ribbons were fabricated by the same method. The appearance of the produced ribbons was very good, and the luster peculiar to the metal was confirmed. It was found that ribbon thickness of less than 100 μm could be produced under the condition of 25 m/s peripheral speed. Investigation of hole defects on the surface confirmed that the defect rate decreases as the thickness of the ribbon increases. © 2024 The Japan Institute of Light Metals.

China aims to peak CO_(2)emissions before 2030 and to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060;hence,industrial sectors in China are keen to figure out appropriate pathways to support the national target of carbon *** objective of this study is to explore near-zero emission pathways for the steel industry of China through a detailed technology *** innovative technology development has been simulated using the AIM-China/steel model,developed by including material-based technologies and optimal cost *** scenarios have been given in terms of different levels of production output,emission reduction and carbon ***-zero emission and carbon tax scenarios have shown that China's steel industry can achieve near-zero emission using electric furnaces and hydrogen-based direct reduction iron technologies with policy *** on these technologies,minimised production costs have been calculated,revealing that the steel produced by these technologies is ***,the feedstock cost can play a key role in these technology portfolios,especially the cost of scrap,iron ore and *** addition,the feedstock supply can have strong regional effects and can subsequently impact the allocation of steelmaking in the ***,China can achieve near-zero emissions in the steel industry,and electric furnace and hydrogen-based direct reduction iron technologies are crucial to achieving them.

Type 2 diabetes(T2D)presents a significant health challenge,underscoring the need for functional foods and nutraceutical hypoglycemic bioactive peptides for its *** study investigates the potential of proteolytic hydrolysate from artificially cultivated Chinese giant salamander(CGS)meat,a rich protein source,as a preventive strategy for *** produced a CGS meat hydrolysate(CGSh)and demonstrated its ability to inhibit the T2D drug target dipeptidyl peptidaseⅣ(DPP-Ⅳ)through in vitro *** identified 5 peptides(WRPPDH,WAPPSKD,IPDSPF,IPEMIF,and VPIAVPT)with high DPP-Ⅳinhibitory activity in CGSh,suggesting its potential antidiabetic *** vivo experiments showed that CGSh effectively reduced insulin resistance in mice induced with a high-fat diet,as evidenced by a slower increase in blood glucose levels and a decreased HOMA-IR index.16S rRNA sequencing analysis revealed that CGSh improved gut microbial homeostasis,promoting beneficial microorganisms and reducing harmful *** analyses identified an increase in valeric acid levels and highlighted nine potential biomarker *** inhibiting metabolic pathways such as AGE-RAGE,CGSh might also prevent diabetic complications and reduce *** findings suggest that CGSh has a promising hypoglycemic effect,making it a potential functional food ingredient for T2D prevention and treatment.

For efficient use of energy in quantum communication, it is best to use discrete signals that approach the classical capacity achieved by a continuous input of coherent states. Analytical treatment of the classical communication channel requires discretization, and among such discrete signals, using signals as close as possible to the quantum channel capacity is ideal. The class of binary phase shift keying (BPSK) coherent-state signals has been proven to be optimal in the case of binary discretization;however, for multiary discretization with three or more signals, the optimal signals are unknown. In this study, we consider the case of ternary discretization. We numerically show that 3PSK is the optimal signal constellation in two dimensions. © 2024 The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide,significantly impairing motor and cognitive *** rehabilitation is often hindered by the heterogeneity of stroke lesions,variability in recovery patterns,and the complexity of electroencephalography(EEG)signals,which are often contaminated by *** classification of motor imagery(MI)tasks,involving the mental simulation of movements,is crucial for assessing rehabilitation strategies but is challenged by overlapping neural signatures and patient-specific *** address these challenges,this study introduces a graph-attentive convolutional long short-term memory(LSTM)network(GACL-Net),a novel hybrid deep learning model designed to improve MI classification accuracy and ***-Net incorporates multi-scale convolutional blocks for spatial feature extraction,attention fusion layers for adaptive feature prioritization,graph convolutional layers to model inter-channel dependencies,and bidi-rectional LSTM layers with attention to capture temporal *** on an open-source EEG dataset of 50 acute stroke patients performing left and right MI tasks,GACL-Net achieved 99.52%classification accuracy and 97.43%generalization accuracy under leave-one-subject-out cross-validation,outperforming existing state-of-the-art ***,its real-time processing capability,with prediction times of 33–56 ms on a T4 GPU,underscores its clinical potential for real-time neurofeedback and adaptive *** findings highlight the model’s potential for clinical applications in assessing rehabilitation effectiveness and optimizing therapy plans through precise MI classification.
