Children's physical, mental and emotional development depends heavily on sleep, with age-specific sleep needs fluctuating. Malnutrition may result from eating too little, absorbing nutrients poorly, being unwell, living in poverty or not knowing enough about nutrition. Food allergies and iron insufficiency are two examples of illnesses whose onsets might differ depending on environmental exposures and genetics. By providing proper diet, getting medical attention when necessary and encouraging healthy behaviors, parents play a crucial role in supporting their children's health. For children to grow and develop properly, they need meals high in fruits, vegetables, milk, protein, calcium, iron and fiber. Key advantages of a balanced diet include aiding bone formation, improving heart health and encouraging regular bowel motions and digestion. In general, children's general health and wellness depend on caregivers being aware of their dietary requirements and giving them the proper attention. The findings of the research imply that machine learning algorithms may be useful in understanding and predicting the prevalence of malnutrition in children. Furthermore, these algorithms could provide perceptive data that might help politicians create effective policies. In this research, we make use of five different machine learning algorithms. With a decision tree, the accuracy is 0.92%, followed by svm which provides 0.91%, KNN, which provides 0.84%, GBM classifier, which provides 0.79% and random forest, which provides 0.65%. © 2025 IEEE.

Creating group choreography from music is crucial in cultural entertainment and virtual reality, with a focus on generating harmonious movements. Despite growing interest, recent approaches often struggle with two major challenges: multi-dancer collisions and single-dancer foot sliding. To address these challenges, we propose a Trajectory-Controllable Diffusion (TCDiff) framework, which leverages non-overlapping trajectories to ensure coherent and aesthetically pleasing dance movements. To mitigate collisions, we introduce a Dance-Trajectory Navigator that generates collision-free trajectories for multiple dancers, utilizing a distance-consistency loss to maintain optimal spacing. Furthermore, to reduce foot sliding, we present a footwork adaptor that adjusts trajectory displacement between frames, supported by a relative forward-kinematic loss to further reinforce the correlation between movements and trajectories. Many guidewire penetration accidents occur during catheter introduction. Therefore, we have evaluated the behavior of medical devices such as guidewires and catheters during catheter introduction using numerical simulations. In our previous study, we evaluated the effects of the insertion velocity of the guidewire and the catheter and confirmed that during catheter introduction, the guidewire imparted a greater load on the vessel wall than that exerted by the guidewire alone. However, it was unclear whether the above phenomenon could also occur under other conditions. In the present study, in addition to these effects, we evaluate the effects of the blood vessel elastic modulus, device insertion length, blood vessel centerline curvature, and their interactions. Furthermore, we evaluate the behavior of the medical devices during guidewire removal after catheter introduction, which was not evaluated in our previous study. We determine the simulation conditions based on the design of experiments and investigate the dominant parameters that affect the contact force between the medical devices and the blood vessel wall using two methods (one that considers parameter interactions and one that does not). We confirm that during guidewire insertion and removal, the device velocity and the vessel centerline curvature have the largest effects, respectively. For the guidewire and the catheter during catheter introduction, the vessel elastic modulus and the insertion velocity have the largest effects, respectively, and the parameter interactions have large effects. These findings are clinically important because they are counterintuitive. During catheter introduction, the average contact forces are larger than those during both guidewire insertion and removal. Furthermore, during guidewire removal, the catheter tip moves in the distal direction. © 2025 The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers

This paper presents a FeFET-based non-volatile and single-event upset (SEU) recoverable latch, namely NVSRLO, which does not require any extra control signals. Simulation results show that the proposed latch provides non-volatility and SEU-recovery with optimized overhead. Compared with existing non-volatile latches, NVSRLO significantly reduces delay, power, and delay-power-area product at the cost of area. © 2025 EDAA.

In Affective computing, recognizing users' emotions accurately is the basis of affective human-computer interaction. Understanding users' interoception contributes to a better understanding of individually different emotional abilities, which is essential for achieving inter-individually accurate emotion estimation. However, existing interoception measurement methods, such as the heart rate discrimination task, have several limitations, including their dependence on a well-controlled laboratory environment and precision apparatus, making monitoring users' interoception challenging. This study aims to determine other forms of data that can explain users' interoceptive or similar states in their real-world lives and propose a novel hypothetical concept "cyberoception,"a new sense (1) which has properties similar to interoception in terms of the correlation with other emotion-related abilities, and (2) which can be measured only by the sensors embedded inside commodity smartphone devices in users' daily lives. Results from a 10-day-long in-lab/in-the-wild hybrid experiment reveal a specific cyberoception type "Turn On"(users' subjective sensory perception about the frequency of turning-on behavior on their smartphones) significantly related to participants' emotional valence. We anticipate that cyberoception to serve as a fundamental building block for developing more "emotion-aware", user-friendly applications and services. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In this study, we investigated the effect of the hybrid surface modification composed of plasma nitriding and DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating on the friction-wear properties and fatigue strength of alloy tool steel SKD11. Plasma nitriding and DLC coating improved the friction-wear properties, respectively. The hybrid surface modification was more effective to improve the friction-wear properties, because the planarity of the DLC layers was maintained by the formed hardened layer. The increase of hydrogen quantity in the DLC layers reduced the friction coefficient and improved the wear resistance. DLC coating suppressed fatigue crack initiation from the surfaces of the untreated and plasma-nitrided materials;however, its effect was not marked to improve the fatigue strength. © 2024 The Society of Materials science, Japan.

It has been required to develop simulation of vacuum arcs as a tool to aid electrode design in vacuum circuit breakers. Although the development of electromagnetic thermo-fluid simulations for vacuum arcs has been reported, most of them do not take cathode sheath phenomena into account and have not been able to reproduce vacuum arc phenomena, especially cathode spots. As the first step, the cathode sheath voltage, cathode surface electric field, and temperature and field (T-F) electron emission current were analyzed numerically on the basis of the space charge in the cathode sheath. In this paper, the cathode sheath was assumed to exist when the charge density induced on the cathode surface is positive, and the temperature and density of vacuum arc plasma and cathode temperature, which are physical quantities obtained by electromagnetic thermo-fluid simulation, were used as parameters of the analysis. As a result, the cathode sheath voltage, electric field, and electron emission current density can be calculated from the vacuum arc plasma temperature, density, and cathode temperature. Numerical results show that the electron emission current density has a dominant effect on the presence or absence of the cathode sheath. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Unsupervised clustering and clustering validity are used as essential instruments of data *** clustering being realized under uncertainty,validity indices do not deliver any quantitative evaluation of the uncertainties in the suggested ***,validity measures may be biased towards the underlying clustering ***,neglecting a confidence requirement may result in *** the absence of an error estimate or a confidence parameter,probable clustering errors are forwarded to the later stages of the ***,having an uncertainty margin of the projected labeling can be very fruitful for many applications such as machine ***,the validity issue was approached through estimation of the uncertainty and a novel low complexity index proposed for fuzzy *** involves only uni-dimensional membership weights,regardless of the data dimension,stipulates no specific distribution,and is independent of the underlying similarity *** tests and comparisons returned that it can reliably estimate the optimum number of partitions under different data distributions,besides behaving more robust to over ***,in the comparative correlation analysis between true clustering error rates and some known internal validity indices,the suggested index exhibited the highest strong *** relationship has been also proven stable through additional statistical acceptance *** the provided relative uncertainty measure can be used as a probable error estimate in the clustering as ***,it is the only method known that can exclusively identify data points in dubiety and is adjustable according to the required confidence level.
