Thyroid disease is a major causes of the main reasons for medical diagnosis and prediction is thyroid illness, whose growth is a interesting topic in medicinal study. One of our body's utmost dynamic body part is the thyroid secreter. Thyroid hormone issues are in control for adaptable metabolism. Two predominant thyroid disorders that issue thyroid hormones to controller the body's breakdown are thyrotoxicosis and hypothyroidism. Thyrotoxicosis and hypothyroidism are two mutual thyroid situations that impair the thyroid's capacity to generate thyroid hormones and regulate the build's absorption. Data cleaning actions remained utilised to kind the data simple sufficient for analytics to demonstration the likelihood of affected role having thyroid illness. Thirteen clinicopathologic features from the dataset occupied from UCI machine learning source are employed In order to prediction the reappearance of well-differentiated thyroid cancer, this article analyses and classifies thyroid disease models. Machine learning is a key component in the sickness prediction process. For complex knowledge activities, like medical diagnostic and prediction jobs, it is crucial to take a tough information base that can be combined and used as a cross model. We too optional a quantity of machine learning methods for thyroid preventative diagnosis in this work. Machine learning methods such decision trees, logistic regression, random forest, and gradient boosting remained used to evaluate the likelihood that a patient will acquire thyroid disease. © 2025 IEEE.

Software-Defined Networking(SDN)represents a significant paradigm shift in network architecture,separating network logic from the underlying forwarding devices to enhance flexibility and centralize ***-rently,the Internet of Things(IoT)connects numerous devices to the Internet,enabling autonomous interactions with minimal human ***,implementing and managing an SDN-IoT system is inherently complex,particularly for those with limited resources,as the dynamic and distributed nature of IoT infrastructures creates security and privacy challenges during SDN *** findings of this study underscore the primary security and privacy challenges across application,control,and data planes.A comprehensive review evaluates the root causes of these challenges and the defense techniques employed in prior works to establish sufficient secrecy and privacy *** investigations have explored cutting-edge methods,such as leveraging blockchain for transaction recording to enhance security and privacy,along with applying machine learning and deep learning approaches to identify and mitigate the impacts of Denial of Service(DoS)and Distributed DoS(DDoS)***,the analysis indicates that encryption and hashing techniques are prevalent in the data plane,whereas access control and certificate authorization are prominently considered in the control plane,and authentication is commonly employed within the application ***,this paper outlines future directions,offering insights into potential strategies and technological advancements aimed at fostering a more secure and privacy-conscious SDN-based IoT ecosystem.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a common disease worldwide that is manifested by slow progressive loss of kidney function that can result in complications and kidney failure. That is why conventional approaches to CKD diagnosis and treatment have certain difficulties: late identification of the disease, inaccuracy of the diagnosis, and high costs for the therapy. The new approaches for solving these problems are opened with the help of Machine Learning (ML) and deep learning (DL). These technologies can help existing information sets in large volumes in diagnosing, predicting, and in early detection of diseases to enhance the well-being of the patients. However, the outcome comes with a handful of constraints, including the quality of the data used in developing the models, the ability to interpret results from the generated model, and the complexity of the computation process. The following section describes the various ML and DL algorithms used for CKD, their strengths, weaknesses, and the possibility of implementing these technologies in clinical settings for better CKD outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

The need of immediate fall detection, particularly within the geriatric population, is emphasized by its pivotal role in curtailing consequences post-incident. In this paper we introduce an algorithm that harnesses the subject's acceleration, angular velocity, and orientation (pitch and roll) to ascertain fall incidents. The evaluation is based on systematic extraction and comparison of features delineated over varied temporal intervals. The presented algorithm uses data extracted from a singular sensor, amalgamating a triaxial accelerometer and a gyroscope, embedded in footwear possessing integrated computational modules. The resilience of the algorithm and efficacy are empirically validated through rigorous assessments, involving five healthy participants simulating 160 fall events and 650 activities indicative of routine locomotion. © 2023 IEEE.

Feature selection (FS) analyzes the most important features to enhance classification accuracy during preprocessing. The objective of FS techniques is to reduce the number of input variables and computational load to achieve optimal classification performance. However, finding the best features is challenging due to high dimensionality, with many features but limited data samples. Metaheuristic optimization algorithms (MOAs) are crucial in creating the best subset of features through exploration and exploitation phases. This study experiments with Teaching-Learning-based Optimization (TLO) as MOA from several diverse binary medical datasets. TLO draws attention to its excellence in improving performance with minimal features. TLO is a fairly straightforward algorithm without algorithm-specific parameters, with rapid convergence and implementation yet effectiveness. In this study, we have also conducted four classifiers to obtain the best model for minimizing the features and maximizing the performance of the model, i.e., decision tree (DT), random forest (RF), k-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), and support vector machine (SVM) with the default parameter of each classifier. As the result, TLO shows its excellence in achieving minimal features, but still outstanding performance with 100% accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and precision. TLO is successfully applied to varying diverse medical datasets with varying number of features. © 2024 IEEE.

IMGTP: A Unified Framework for Improving and Measuring the Generalizability of Trajectory Prediction Models

Accurately predicting nearby agents' future trajectories is fundamental for ensuring the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving. However, existing learning-based trajectory prediction models struggle with poor generalization to out-of-distribution (OOD) scenes, potentially leading to failed predictions in real-world applications. To tackle this challenge, we introduce IMGTP, a unified framework for systematically evaluating, improving, and measuring the generalization performance of trajectory prediction models in OOD scenes. IMGTP consists of three primary components: the Argoverse-Shift dataset, the FrenÃ©t+ strategy, and an approach for OOD measurement. First, the Argoverse-Shift is a cross-domain dataset that highlights the significant differences in data distributions across domains, serving as a testing platform for models' generalization ability. Second, the FrenÃ©t+ strategy leverages map centerlines and the FrenÃ©t Frame to enhance the generalizability of baseline models by mitigating the domain gap resulting from road geometry variations. Third, we provide a comprehensive evaluation methodology for OOD measurement, quantifying the range of data that can be effectively handled by prediction models. This measurement approach employs the accuracy rate of the correctly predicted samples and their corresponding mean distance as well as standard deviation to the training set center as indicators of the model's generalization ability. The mean distance also serves as a valid criterion for OOD detection and uncertainty quantification. Experimental results demonstrate that our IMGTP framework enhances the generalization capability of mainstream trajectory prediction models by substantially improving their prediction performance in unseen domains. Because of recent technological developments, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, power consumption has become a major issue. Atomic silicon quantum dot (ASiQD) is one of the most impressive technologies for developing low-power processing circuits, which are critical for efficient transmission and power management in micro IoT devices. On the other hand, multipliers are essential computational circuits used in a wide range of digital circuits. Therefore, the multiplier design with a low occupied area and low energy consumption is the most critical expected goal in designing any micro IoT circuits. This article introduces a low-power atomic silicon-based multiplier circuit for effective power management in the micro IoT. Based on this design, a 4× 4 -bit multiplier array with low power consumption and size is presented. The suggested circuit is also designed and validated using the SiQAD simulation tool. The proposed ASiQD-based circuit significantly reduces energy consumption and area consumed in the micro IoT compared to most recent designs. © 2014 IEEE.

Accurately diagnosing Alzheimer's disease is essential for improving elderly ***,accurate prediction of the mini-mental state examination score also can measure cognition impairment and track the progression of Alzheimer's ***,most of the existing methods perform Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score prediction separately and ignore the relation between these two *** address this challenging problem,we propose a novel multi-task learning method,which uses feature interaction to explore the relationship between Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and minimental state examination score *** our proposed method,features from each task branch are firstly decoupled into candidate and non-candidate parts for ***,we propose feature sharing module to obtain shared features from candidate features and return shared features to task branches,which can promote the learning of each *** validate the effectiveness of our proposed method on multiple *** Alzheimer's disease neuroimaging initiative 1 dataset,the accuracy in diagnosis task and the root mean squared error in prediction task of our proposed method is 87.86%and 2.5,*** results show that our proposed method outperforms most state-of-the-art *** proposed method enables accurate Alzheimer's disease diagnosis and mini-mental state examination score ***,it can be used as a reference for the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease,and can also help doctors and patients track disease progression in a timely manner.

Vehicle detection and classification is one of the major challenges for automated traffic surveillance as well as for military defence systems to identify enemy vehicles. For efficient real-time surveillance, accurate detection and classification of many vehicle kinds, including cars, trucks, buses, and so forth are important. This paper focuses on different methods of machine learning used toidentify thevehicle and then then categorize each vehicle according to the classes. It also explores the critical insight of existing vehicle detection and classification approaches using various machine learning methods like YOLO, CNN, R-CNN, and AdaBoost. The majority of the research projects now in existence solely consider increasing image-based accuracy, which has poor real-time performance and uses more computational resources. © 2024 Elsevier B.V..
