Due to the fact that network space is becoming more limited,the implementation of ultra-dense networks(UDNs)has the potential to enhance not only network coverage but also network *** Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently garnered a lot of attention due to the fact that they are extremely versatile and may be applied to a wide variety of contexts and purposes.A cognitive UAV is proposed as a solution for the Internet of Things ground terminal’s wireless nodes in this *** the IoT system,the UAV is utilised not only to determine how the resources should be distributed but also to provide power to the wireless *** quality of service(QoS)offered by the cognitive node was interpreted as a price-based utility function,which was demonstrated in the form of a non-cooperative game theory in order to maximise customers’net utility *** energyefficient non-cooperative game theory power allocation with pricing strategy abbreviated as(EE-NGPAP)is implemented in this study with two trajectories Spiral and Sigmoidal in order to facilitate effective power management in Internet of Things(IoT)wireless *** has also been demonstrated,theoretically and by the use of simulations,that the Nash equilibrium does exist and that it is one of a *** proposed energy harvesting approach was shown,through simulations,to significantly reduce the typical amount of power thatwas *** is taken into consideration to agree with the objective of 5G *** order to converge to Nash Equilibrium(NE),the method that is advised only needs roughly 4 iterations,which makes it easier to utilise in the real world,where things aren’t always the same.

The increased adoption of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) technologies has resulted in the widespread use ofBody Area Networks (BANs) in medical and non-medical domains. However, the performance of IEEE 802.15.4-based BANs is impacted by challenges related to heterogeneous data traffic requirements among nodes, includingcontention during finite backoff periods, association delays, and traffic channel access through clear channelassessment (CCA) algorithms. These challenges lead to increased packet collisions, queuing delays, retransmissions,and the neglect of critical traffic, thereby hindering performance indicators such as throughput, packet deliveryratio, packet drop rate, and packet delay. Therefore, we propose Dynamic Next Backoff Period and Clear ChannelAssessment (DNBP-CCA) schemes to address these issues. The DNBP-CCA schemes leverage a combination ofthe Dynamic Next Backoff Period (DNBP) scheme and the Dynamic Next Clear Channel Assessment (DNCCA)scheme. The DNBP scheme employs a fuzzy Takagi, Sugeno, and Kang (TSK) model’s inference system toquantitatively analyze backoff exponent, channel clearance, collision ratio, and data rate as input parameters. Onthe other hand, the DNCCA scheme dynamically adapts the CCA process based on requested data transmission tothe coordinator, considering input parameters such as buffer status ratio and acknowledgement ratio. As a result,simulations demonstrate that our proposed schemes are better than some existing representative approaches andenhance data transmission, reduce node collisions, improve average throughput, and packet delivery ratio, anddecrease average packet drop rate and packet delay.

Data quality issues are still a challenge in data migration. Existing methods mainly focus on technical issues. However, the problem of data quality is not only a technical problem, but the main one is the non-technical aspect. This paper aims to identify the role of data governance in the data migration process. The qualitative research method uses two primary references, namely the high-level data migration approach from Kazimir et al. and the DAMA-DMBOK framework. Both are highly compatible with data migration processes focusing on data quality and referencing governance roles. The case study was conducted in a central government working on data migration to the new One Data application. The results show that eight data governance roles are involved in 20 migration processes (65%). Non-technical activities related to data quality involve more than half of the data migration process. This paper proposes the role of data governance for non-technical aspects of the migration process. This paper presents a case study of the high-level data migration process and how data governance comes into play. This research can help the government and practitioners overcome problems that often occur in data migration, especially related to data quality. © The Author(s) 2024.

Enhancing Skin Cancer Diagnosis with Deep Learning:A Hybrid CNN-RNN Approach

Skin cancer diagnosis is difficult due to lesion presentation variability. Conventionalmethods struggle to manuallyextract features and capture lesions spatial and temporal variations. This study introduces a deep learning-basedConvolutional and Recurrent Neural Network (CNN-RNN) model with a ResNet-50 architecture which usedas the feature extractor to enhance skin cancer classification. Leveraging synergistic spatial feature extractionand temporal sequence learning, the model demonstrates robust performance on a dataset of 9000 skin lesionphotos from nine cancer types. Using pre-trained ResNet-50 for spatial data extraction and Long Short-TermMemory (LSTM) for temporal dependencies, the model achieves a high average recognition accuracy, surpassingprevious methods. The comprehensive evaluation, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, underscoresthe model’s competence in categorizing skin cancer types. This research contributes a sophisticated model andvaluable guidance for deep learning-based diagnostics, also this model excels in overcoming spatial and temporalcomplexities, offering a sophisticated solution for dermatological diagnostics research.

Efficient energy management is a cornerstone of advancing cognitive cities,where AI,IoT,and cloud computing seamlessly integrate to meet escalating global energy *** this context,the ability to forecast electricity consumption with precision is vital,particularly in residential settings where usage patterns are highly variable and *** study presents an innovative approach to energy consumption forecasting using a bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)*** a dataset containing over twomillionmultivariate,time-series observations collected froma single household over nearly four years,ourmodel addresses the limitations of traditional time-series forecasting methods,which often struggle with temporal dependencies and non-linear *** bidirectional LSTM architecture processes data in both forward and backward directions,capturing past and future contexts at each time step,whereas existing unidirectional LSTMs consider only a single temporal *** design,combined with dropout regularization,leads to a 20.6%reduction in RMSE and an 18.8%improvement in MAE over conventional unidirectional LSTMs,demonstrating a substantial enhancement in prediction accuracy and *** to existing models—including SVM,Random Forest,MLP,ANN,and CNN—the proposed model achieves the lowest MAE of 0.0831 and RMSE of 0.2213 during testing,significantly outperforming these *** results highlight the model’s superior ability to navigate the complexities of energy usage patterns,reinforcing its potential application in AI-driven IoT and cloud-enabled energy management systems for cognitive *** integrating advanced machine learning techniqueswith IoT and cloud infrastructure,this research contributes to the development of intelligent,sustainable urban environments.

This paper focuses on the review of the literature about the effects of generative AI for SE based on a comparison of research papers on methodologies, applications, and effects on SE processes. It plans to analyze and discuss existing classifications used for the purposes of MMA-based applications, including their potential and challenges, and analyze the productivity rate according to citation scores and other parameters. Generative AI models such as GPT-3, BERT, and Transformers are also involved in the paper, and this paper focuses on automatic coding, testing, and documentation. Primary research reveals that there is high interest in using generative AI for code generation with tools like OpenAI’s Codex and DeepMind’s AlphaCode, but at the same time, it reveals that there are issues like, quality of code, dealing with ambiguous requirements and integration problems. In the review, the author also covers generative AI in context to software testing and in relation to generating documentation, increased efficiency, and the identified limitations. The study reveals new opportunities of generative AI in SE but reveals basic issues such as explicability or ethic concerns at the same time. It seeks to improve the comprehension and chart future advancements in generative AI for SE;thus, focusing on the advancement and application of the strategies and ideas in the SE process for the researchers and practitioners. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Generative AI has been considered to fit Science and Technology especially in Graph Theory and Software Testing and as such the subject has attracted some attention. Based on the literature, this paper reviews previous works concerning the effect of Generative AI in these fields owing to the call to build more knowledge, address challenges, and improve practices. Graph theory which is a branch of discrete mathematics is vital in computer science and operation research. For this field, generative AI would help in the discovery of graphs, algorithms as well as solutions. With this proposal, this study examines how the existing GANs and VAEs are applied to graph generation, node prediction, and anomaly detection before pointing out the existing research gaps and future research avenues. Likewise, Software Testing essential in system development is evolving with Generative AI. The conventional ways are thus more cumbersome and very often inaccurate. In terms of testing, generative AI can come up with test cases, predict failures, and generate smart data therefore changing the test techniques. This paper discusses and analyze models of AI used for test automation and identification of defects for test automation. In this article,multiple attribute decision-making problems are solved using the vague normal set(VNS).It is possible to generalize the vague set(VS)and q-rung fuzzy set(FS)into the q-rung vague set(VS).A log q-rung normal vague weighted averaging(log q-rung NVWA),a log q-rung normal vague weighted geometric(log q-rung NVWG),a log generalized q-rung normal vague weighted averaging(log Gq-rung NVWA),and a log generalized q-rungnormal vagueweightedgeometric(logGq-rungNVWG)operator are discussed in this *** is provided of the scoring function,accuracy function and operational laws of the log q-rung *** algorithms underlying these functions are also described.A numerical example is provided to extend the Euclidean distance and the Humming ***,idempotency,boundedness,commutativity,and monotonicity of the log q-rung VS are examined as they facilitate recognizing the optimal alternative more quickly and help clarify *** chose five anemia patients with four types of symptoms including seizures,emotional shock or hysteria,brain cause,and high fever,who had either retrograde amnesia,anterograde amnesia,transient global amnesia,post-traumatic amnesia,or infantile *** numbers q are used to express the results of the *** demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the models we are investigating,we compare several existing models with those that have been developed.

There are several advantages to the MIG(Metal Inert Gas)process,which explains its increased use in variouswelding sectors,such as automotive,marine,and construction.A variant of the MIG process,where the sameequipment is employed except for the deposition of a thin layer of flux before the welding operation,is the AMIG(Activated Metal Inert Gas)*** study focuses on investigating the impact of physical properties ofindividual metallic oxide fluxes for 304L stainless steel welding joint morphology and to what extent it can helpdetermine a relationship among weld depth penetration,the aspect ratio,and the input physical properties ofthe *** types of oxides,TiO_(2),SiO_(2),Fe_(2)O_(3),Cr_(2)O_(3),and Mn_(2)O_(3),are tested on butt joint design withoutpreparation of the edges.A robust algorithm based on the particle swarm optimization(PSO)technique is appliedto optimally tune the models’parameters,such as the quadratic error between the actual outputs(depth and aspectratio),and the error estimated by the models’outputs is *** results showed that the proposed PSOmodel is first and foremost robust against uncertainties in measurement devices and modeling errors,and second,that it is capable of accurately representing and quantifying the weld depth penetration and the weld aspect ratioto the oxides’thermal properties.
