Winguardian, an enhanced version of FR-Winfirewall, enhances the security characteristics of the Windows Firewall. The native firewall is necessary, although it is not very efficient against DoS attacks. The improved version of Winguardian addresses this weakness by incorporating cutting-edge security features to counter a variety of DoS attacks, including those based on TCP, UDP, and ICMPv4 and ICMPv6 protocols. It protects Windows systems better than a lot of other firewalls. In addition to handling IPv6 traffic, the Winguardian also monitors HTTP and FTP packets to further improve its security features. This makes it an all-inclusive security tool for Windows users, ensuring that different kinds of network traffic are analysed and shielded from potential *** put it briefly, the Winguardian strengthens Windows-based systems' defences against online threats by providing a strong and intelligent security solution. © 2023 IEEE.

Routing attacks pose a substantial security risk in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), compromising network performance and reliability. Utilizing the Cartesian product concept to identify these routing attacks in WSNs is an emerging and promising approach. This strategy involves generating a Cartesian product graph from the original network graph and subsequently extracting relevant features to detect potential threats. The success of this approach is dependent on several factors, such as feature selection, the detection algorithm employed, and the prevailing network conditions. This research presents an innovative framework that leverages the Cartesian product approach to identify routing attacks in WSNs. The performance of this framework is evaluated using the Cooja simulator, yielding results that indicate high detection accuracy, low energy usage, and minimal overhead. A comparative analysis with contemporary studies illustrates the superior ability of this framework to handle a wide range of attack scenarios and network conditions. The introduced framework significantly advances the field of routing attack detection in WSNs and provides an actionable solution for easy integration into existing WSNs. © 2024 IEEE.

The Live Tracking System for Metro Rail using IoT is a proposed project that aims to provide real-time location tracking of Metro trains to passengers and authorities. The project utilizes IoT devices and wireless communication tech- nologies to collect and transmit data about the current location of the train. The system consists of a GPS sensor, microcontroller, and wireless communication modules installed on each train. The GPS sensors collect the current location of the train, which is then processed by the microcontroller to determine the train's speed and direction. The wireless communication module transmits this data to a central server, which processes the data and presents it to passengers and authorities in real-time. The proposed system will have a user-friendly interface accessible through a mobile application, web portal, or kiosk. Passengers will be able to view real-time information about the train's location, estimated arrival and departure time, and any delays or disruptions on the route. The system will also provide Metro corporation authorities with valuable insights into train operations, enabling them to improve service quality and enhance safety measures. © 2023 IEEE.

Existing studies on image-based detection of melanoma and Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) using artificial intelligence (AI) have shown suboptimal detection results due to limitations in feature extraction techniques and classifier algorithms. This research addresses these challenges by developing an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model that utilizes Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) features. Dermoscopic images of melanoma, BCC, and normal skin were processed to extract texture features using GLCM. The performance of the proposed model was evaluated using key metrics, including accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-score. The results demonstrate that the ANN model incorporating GLCM features exhibits strong potential for accurately classifying melanoma, BCC, and normal skin. During the training phase (GLCM with d=2), the model achieved an average performance of 83.33% accuracy, 83.07% sensitivity, 91.54% specificity, and 83.10% F1-score. On the testing dataset (GLCM with d=5), the model achieved 82.22% accuracy, 82.22% sensitivity, 91.11% specificity, and 82.22% F1-score, respectively. These findings highlight the effectiveness of GLCM features in enhancing the ANN model's classification performance and its potential application in clinical settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This study employs candlestick patterns and sequence similarities to forecast trends in time-series stock data. Time-series financial forecasting is a crucial component in risk management and portfolio optimization. Finding a suitable technique for financial engineering poses a challenge since it must meet the criteria of being transparent, robust, and compatible. There is more and more multi-modal data being used in research, and prediction algorithms are getting harder to understand and making it harder for data to move smoothly. Candlestick methods are expected to be effective in the scenarios above. The utilization of this tool is prevalent within financial markets due to its accessibility, comprehensibility, and acceptance within the technical analysis community. This study examines the initial and subsequent stages of forecasting. The process of sequential pattern mining involves the extraction of candlestick patterns from candlestick data with several dimensions. Correlation analysis then assesses the connection between these patterns and potential future trends. Furthermore, this study introduces a novel approach to identifying commonalities in candlestick charts that exhibit considerable differences. Two experimental groups were utilized to evaluate the technique's efficacy, employing a sample size of 800 equities from the Chinese stock market. The stability and accuracy of our approach surpass those of the SVM (50.83% and 51.32%) and LSTM (50.71% and 50.68%) models, exhibiting an average accuracy of 52.12% and 53.13%. This study can potentially contribute to the field of candlestick data research. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector is becoming increasingly essential to extract huge texts for decision-making. Extraction of clinical data is a fundamental task in Medical Natural language processing. This process is still challenging through deep learning due to critical medical data, lack of interpretability, and limited availability. Text extraction from Electronic Healthcare records is crucial for improving patient care and understanding clinical decision-making. It also supports analysing the patients' feedback and physician notes to identify areas for improvement in patients' satisfaction and care quality. This helps in drug discovery and development through clinical data patterns. The proposed research focuses on implementing Natural language processing methods for data processing like classification and prediction, Word Sense Disambiguation, Segmentation, and word Embedding. These methods can process vast amounts of medical text data for decision support, research, and drug discovery. It can increase the possibility of identifying the patients who may at risk for certain conditions and diseases related to cancer and comparing it with their medical history. The chief aim is to provide improvised data analyses that could further improve their treatment. © 2023 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) has increased the demand for AI talents globally, yet there remains a shortage, including in Malaysia. It has brought attention to the need to foster AI literacy among the younger generation through education, an area where research studies could be improved in developing countries, especially Malaysia. The current research aims to design and develop an intervention, an AI curriculum tailored for secondary school students in Malaysia, especially in Sarawak. The paper begins with a literature review, highlighting the current state of AI education in secondary schools globally and identifying the need for AI education. The methodology employs a design-based research (DBR) approach, allowing for iterative refinement of the intervention. A combination of quantitative and qualitative methods will evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention. The study targets lower secondary school students from the urban divisions in Sarawak, selecting 383 students for the baseline recruitment and 180 students for the intervention through a multistage cluster random sampling method. The study expects to improve the students' perceived competence, attitude, and motivation towards AI through the intervention. © 2024 IEEE.

Taking the 135kW magnet synchronous motor as the research object, the CFD simulation was used to analyze the influence of spiral-type runner, single-channel circumferential Z-type runner, and axial Z-type runner on the heat dissipation performance of the motor. The maximum temperature of the inner wall of the shell is 358.93K, compared with the single-channel circumferential Z-type runner and axial Z-type runner decreased by 1.69K, 10.65K and 46.47K, respectively. The velocity uniformity and pressure loss of the helical runner is optimal, and the coefficient of velocity uniformity and the difference between import and export pressure are 0.948 and 14.78kpa, respectively;the runner structure of the PM synchronous motor can be preferred to consider the use of the helical runner form. © 2024 IEEE.

Integrated circuits are very sensitive to variations of temperature. All components used in IC design (transistors, resistors, capacitors and other components) are characterized with respect to the change of temperature by defining the temperature coefficients, usually of the first and second order. The temperature coefficient is usually specified as a fixed number for a given type of a resistor, i.e. it is assumed that the temperature coefficient does not depend on the dimension L (length) and W (width) of the resistor, which is usually not the case. This paper describes the system for characterization of the temperature coefficients of resistors having various lengths, widths and number of fingers, as well as different resistor types. The system is based on an array of resistors consisting of 20 rows and 10 columns, which is sufficient to characterize 200 resistors. Each resistor cell can be selected separately, i.e. only one cell is active during the measurement. The measurement is based on the 4-wire method, i.e. on forcing the current and measuring the voltage on the resistor. Digital circuits and analogue switches are built into the integrated circuit to enable the selection of each resistor cell. © 2023 MIPRO Croatian Society.
