In this paper,we propose a novel secure image communication system that integrates quantum key distribution and hyperchaotic encryption techniques to ensure enhanced security for both key distribution and plaintext ***,we leverage the B92 Quantum Key Distribution(QKD)protocol to secure the distribution of encryption keys,which are further processed through Galois Field(GF(28))operations for increased *** encrypted plaintext is secured using a newly developed Hyper 3D Logistic Map(H3LM),a chaotic system that generates complex and unpredictable sequences,thereby ensuring strong confusion and diffusion in the encryption *** hybrid approach offers a robust defense against quantum and classical cryptographic attacks,combining the advantages of quantum-level key distribution with the unpredictability of hyperchaos-based *** proposed method demonstrates high sensitivity to key changes and resilience to noise,compression,and cropping attacks,ensuring both secure key transmission and robust image encryption.

Sophisticated cyber threats are seen on Online Social Networks (OSNs) social media accounts automated to imitate human behaviours has an impactful effect on distorting public thoughts and opinions. OSNs are weaponized to diffuse deception, misinformation, and malicious activities, that forms a serious threat to society. The deceptive nature of imitating human behaviour has become a challenging and crucial task to detect automated accounts (socialbots). This research, however, proposes a hybrid metaheuristic optimisation algorithm for socialbot detection. Specifically, a hybrid B-Hill Climbing (B-HC) optimisation algorithm works in tandem with a k-NN nearest neighbour classifier to accurately select a relevant feature subset. It is applied to be tested for fake followers account on Twitter data. Experimental results showed that the proposed method is better than the traditional and the latest feature selection techniques as well as the rule-set methods. The B-HC alongside with k-NN method achieved promising results using only relevant feature subset. © 2023 IEEE.

Management and information systems are considered two major disciplines that have to be combined to benefit from knowledge for rational decision-making which means strict procedures utilizing objective knowledge and logic for many years. Effective and efficient use of already invested organizational resources is a key subject to gain a competitive advantage by making decisions with the help of AI techniques which benefit from both internal and external knowledge. This paper introduces a new model to get benefits from open-source intelligence (OSINT) in the context of external knowledge with a green computing approach for solving global organizational challenges in the scope of Society 5.0. This research has a dual background, theoretical and practical. Problem defining and hypothesis formulation was carried out by literature review. Then, the application developed according to the proposed model was put into action in some organizations for testing, and feedback from experts who participated in the proof of concept (POC) activities was evaluated and discussed empirically. Finally, the findings of our research, the advantages of our model, and both academic and business future work were summarized. It has been practically determined that the model and application we have developed are largely successful in line with our hypotheses. However, the weaknesses and advantages of our study were also revealed. Our research is the first study that combines Management Information Systems and Open-Source Intelligence disciplines with the approach of Society 5.0 to support SMEs in analyzing open-source information to build better decision-making mechanisms. The developed application in this study can also be applied to solving other green distributed computing needs in different domains. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this paper, we propose a framework to address the problem of guiding a person within a semi-structured environment in a socially acceptable manner that prioritises safety and comfort. We propose an algorithm based on the optimal Rapidly exploring Random Tree (RRT*) algorithm for path planning. Our proposal utilises Dubins curves and takes into account the user during path planning to generate a navigation path that allows the robot to follow a feasible path that can also be navigated by the user. A comparative analysis against standard path planning based on the RRT* algorithm and the Social Force Model validates the efficacy of our proposed algorithm. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This paper discusses a comparison of several methods used for object detection in bad weather conditions, such as the presence of fog that interferes with the object's view. The methods compared in this paper include Faster R-CNN, Yolov3, and SSD (Single Shot Multi-Box Detector). This work contributes to evaluating the best method to overcome the object detection problem in bad weather, which is measured by mean average precision (mAP). The evaluation is executed using video objects that are converted into frames. Based on experimental results, the Faster R-CNN method is superior in terms of the mAP value where the Faster R-CNN is 87%, using SSD is 48%, and Yolov3 is 31%. Faster R-CNN provides better performance than the other two methods because the basic idea of FRCNN is the use of a Region Proposal Network (RPN) in a feature map which aims to propose many objects that can be identified in a particular image. © 2023 IEEE.

The penetration of renewable energy with high intermittencies, such as solar power, presents a challenge for the North Sulawesi and Gorontalo power grid. Currently, the largest photovoltaic plant in the region is Likupang PV with a capacity of 15 MWp, followed by Isimu PV with a capacity of 10 MWp. The daytime peak load of the electrical system is 330 MW, with the initial penetration of photovoltaics into the system at 7.58%. Due to the low stiffness of the system, which was measured at 22.32 Mw/Hz in 2022, the intermittence has a direct impact on the system's operation. The study method used for PV curtailment first determines the magnitude by analyzing the correlation between changes in multiple PV and changes in demand affecting frequency. The Pearson correlation coefficient is used to determine the magnitude of the correlation among these variables. If Likupang PV has a significant influence on changes in frequency, then it can become a curtailment target to limit the amount of power change due to intermittence. Secondly, through data mining, we can understand the function of the influence of changes in PV power on frequency changes. From this function, we can determine the operating limits of the PV to achieve the desired frequency operating range. Thirdly, in this study, this function is tested through simulations and experiments in the field to verify the accuracy of the required PV curtailment execution. By applying this approach, business owners can optimize the planning, regulation, and reliability of the electricity system, thereby mitigating power interruptions in solar power plants. © 2023 IEEE.

Knowledge sharing has been recognized as the most critical factor in successful knowledge management. Knowledge sharing in prison is a complicated topic that frequently faces resource restrictions, stigma and isolation, communication hurdles, and other security concerns. Moreover, resources for knowledge sharing in a secure environment are still few. This research investigates the critical factors for knowledge sharing in prisons. This research uses the Kitchenham approach with five reputable publishers from 2018 to 2023. There are 1284 articles in the initial phase and 25 in the final phase. Critical factors were ranked using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the Triple-helix approach to the representatives of academics, policymakers, and the community in the Indonesian context. The critical knowledge-sharing factors are leadership support, organizational culture, organizational structure, incentives, and individual beliefs. However, acknowledging the critical factors can aid in improving the knowledge-sharing system in prison and changing the criminal justice system. © 2023 IEEE.

Facial palsy is a common condition in the medical field that results from facial nerve disorders, leading to weakened facial motor functions. Detecting facial palsy typically involves observing the functional ability of facial muscles, a process currently performed manually by healthcare professionals relying on visual cues. However, manual detection is prone to errors, this needs for early and automated facial palsy detection. Overall, our research aims to improve the detection of facial palsy by leveraging deep learning techniques. By automating the detection process, we hope to provide a more accurate and efficient approach for early identification of this condition. In this research, we aim to develop a facial palsy detection system using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. We utilize three datasets, namely CK+, JAFFE, and YouTube Facial Palsy, which are organized into normal and dysfunctional classes. The dataset is divided into training and testing data in an 80:20 ratio, and preprocessing techniques such as image resizing and grayscale conversion are applied. To find the optimal parameters for our model, we employ k-fold cross validation during the training process. The evaluation results show that the best model achieved optimal performance with the following parameters: 3 hidden layers, a fully connected layer (fc)-1 with a hidden size of 128, fc-2 with a hidden size of 16, and fc-3 with a hidden size of 32. The optimizer used was Adam, with a learning rate of 0.001, a batch size of 64, and trained for 10 epochs. This best model attained an average training accuracy of 0.958, testing accuracy of 1, recall of 1, and precision of 0.99. © 2023 IEEE.

The network switches in the data plane of Software Defined Networking (SDN) are empowered by an elementary process, in which enormous number of packets which resemble big volumes of data are classified into specific flows by matching them against a set of dynamic rules. This basic process accelerates the processing of data, so that instead of processing singular packets repeatedly, corresponding actions are performed on corresponding flows of packets. In this paper, first, we address limitations on a typical packet classification algorithm like Tuple Space Search (TSS). Then, we present a set of different scenarios to parallelize it on different parallel processing platforms, including Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), clusters of Central Processing Units (CPUs), and hybrid clusters. Experimental results show that the hybrid cluster provides the best platform for parallelizing packet classification algorithms, which promises the average throughput rate of 4.2 Million packets per second (Mpps). That is, the hybrid cluster produced by the integration of Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA), Message Passing Interface (MPI), and OpenMP programming model could classify 0.24 million packets per second more than the GPU cluster scheme. Such a packet classifier satisfies the required processing speed in the programmable network systems that would be used to communicate big medical data.
