The demand for auxiliary systems that utilize methods and technologies of intellectual data analysis and machine learning is increasing in the CRM system development field. These systems are capable of generating valuable insights from vast amounts of data collected in CRM. The article shows the results of the development and study of the CRM system using the methods of affinity analysis. Earlier, the authors developed and implemented the base version of the recommender algorithm based on the use of cluster data analysis and collaborative filtration [1, 2]. The new version of the algorithm additionally uses affinity analysis methods to form recommendations for the selection of products, which made it possible to increase the accuracy of the recommendation system (service) by metrics F2 on average from 67.98% to 81.24% with an increase in the time for issuing recommendations (On average by 2.47 ms). The study and comparison of the basic and modified versions of the algorithm were executed using data sourced from insurance companies, furnished by "FB Consult". © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the development of a secure data platform designed to enhance operational efficiency and to facilitate cross-company collaboration within the manufacturing supply chain. The platform is designed to ease secure information exchange while maintaining the sovereignty of each participant, leveraging standardized security features and advanced technologies such as federated learning. Security measures are based on a comprehensive risk analysis, which methodically identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential threats. Moreover, federated learning models that are not transparent are utilized. This allows data owners to maintain control over sensitive information within the consortium. The described approach markedly enhances both security and operational collaboration across the industry, representing a crucial stride towards more integrated and efficient supply chain management in manufacturing. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents a simulation study on the use of LoRaWAN technology in autonomous vehicles. The research focuses on developing an Auto-Handover Gateway for Autonomous Vehicles, utilizing LoRaWAN parameters such as bit rates, spreading factor (SF), packet loss, and received signal strength. These parameters are tested in simulations of autonomous vehicle movements, which include both regular and random motion patterns. The aim is to assess the performance of LoRaWAN in different scenarios and its impact on communication in autonomous vehicle systems. The simulation results show several key trends. As the vehicle moves further, the spreading factor (SF) increases, and bit rates tend to decrease, indicating a drop in communication performance over longer distances. The research also identifies that the gateway with the closest proximity to the vehicle is selected, both in random and non-random movement scenarios. Additionally, packet loss increases as the distance between the vehicle and the gateway grows, highlighting the challenges of maintaining reliable communication over long distances. These findings provide insights into optimizing LoRaWAN parameters for real-time communication in autonomous vehicles, contributing to the development of intelligent vehicle networks. © 2024 IEEE.

With the prevalence of the Internet of Things(IoT)systems,smart cities comprise complex networks,including sensors,actuators,appliances,and cyber *** complexity and heterogeneity of smart cities have become vulnerable to sophisticated cyber-attacks,especially privacy-related attacks such as inference and data poisoning *** Learning(FL)has been regarded as a hopeful method to enable distributed learning with privacypreserved intelligence in IoT *** though the significance of developing privacy-preserving FL has drawn as a great research interest,the current research only concentrates on FL with independent identically distributed(i.i.d)data and few studies have addressed the non-i.i.d *** is known to be vulnerable to Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)attacks,where an adversary can presume to act as a contributor participating in the training process to acquire the private data of other *** paper proposes an innovative Privacy Protection-based Federated Deep Learning(PP-FDL)framework,which accomplishes data protection against privacy-related GAN attacks,along with high classification rates from non-i.i.d ***-FDL is designed to enable fog nodes to cooperate to train the FDL model in a way that ensures contributors have no access to the data of each other,where class probabilities are protected utilizing a private identifier generated for each *** PP-FDL framework is evaluated for image classification using simple convolutional networks which are trained using MNIST and CIFAR-10 *** empirical results have revealed that PF-DFL can achieve data protection and the framework outperforms the other three state-of-the-art models with 3%–8%as accuracy improvements.

DeepFakes and face image manipulation methods have been widely distributed in the last few years and several techniques have been presented to check the authenticity of the face image and detect manipulation if exists. Most of the available manipulation detection techniques have been successfully applied to reveal one type of manipulation under specific conditions, however, many limitations and challenges can be encountered in this field. To overcome some limitations and challenges, this paper presents a new face image authentication (FIA) scheme based on Multi-Task Cascaded Conventional Neural Networks (MTCNN) and watermarking in Slantlet transform (SLT) domain. The proposed FIA scheme has three main algorithms that are face detection and selection, embedding, and extraction algorithms. Different block sizes have been used to divide the image into non-overlapping blocks followed by classifying them into two groups that are blocks from face area (FA) and blocks from the remaining area (RA) of the image. In the embedding algorithms, the authentication information is generated from FA blocks and embedded in the RA blocks. In the extraction algorithms, the embedded information is extracted from RA blocks and compared with the calculated data from FA blocks to reveal manipulations and localize the manipulated blocks if exist. Extensive experiments have been conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed FIA scheme for different face images. The experimental work included tests for payload, capacity, visual quality, time complexity, and localization of manipulations. The results proved the efficiency of the proposed scheme in detecting and localizing different face image manipulations such as attributes attacks, retouching attacks, expression swap, face swap, and morphing attacks. In response to the escalating demand for electricity, the aging process and inherent failures in power lines have become unavoidable challenges in their operational integrity. This research addresses the imperative need for a robust method to detect damage in power insulator disc images, introducing a novel feature extraction technique grounded in color intensity profile transformation and ensemble learning. For the purposes of the research, a specific dataset was developed based on publicly available images of power insulators. The collection consists of 9232 images of insulator discs which included 2184 images of damaged discs. The discernible damages include breakages and burnouts. Two distinct analysis variants were employed. In the first variant (V1), two classification groups were selected: disc with damages and disc without damages. In the second variant (V2), three classification groups were selected: discs without damage, broken discs, and burnout discs. The described research was divided into two successive stages. In the first of them (S1), the transformed color intensity profiles for the prepared data set were built and various machine learning models for their classification were trained and evaluated. In the next stage (S2), previously developed, highest efficient machine learning models, were used to make the detection of various damaged types of overhead line insulator discs. For the first stage of research high-performance results and a high value of the F1 score parameters were obtained (F1 score = 0.999 for the first variant (S1V1) and F1 score = 0.992 for the second variant (S1V2). In the second stage of research and the first variant (S2V1), the highest result of the F1 score was 0.932 and for the second variant (S2V2) F1 score was 0.930. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Plugged-in electric vehicle-assisted demand response strategy for residential energy management

Demand response (DR) management systems are a potentially growing market due to their ability to maximize energy savings by allowing customers to manage their energy consumption at times of peak demand in response to financial incentives from the electricity supplier. Successful execution of a demand response program requires an effective management system where the home energy management system (HEMS) is a promising solution nowadays. HEMS is developed to manage energy use in households and to conduct the management of energy supply, either from the grid or the alternative energy sources like solar or wind power plants. With the increase of vehicle electrification, in order to achieve a more reliable and efficient smart grid (SG), cooperation between electric vehicles (EVs) and residential systems is required. This cooperation could involve not only vehicle to grid (V2G) operation but a vehicle to home (V2H) too. V2H operation is used to transfer the power and relevant data between EVs and residential systems. This paper provides an efficient HEMS enhanced by smart scheduling and an optimally designed charging and discharging strategy for plugged-in electric vehicles (PEVs). The proposed design uses a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for smart scheduling and to take the charging (from the grid)/discharging (supply the household appliances) decision without compromising the driving needs. Simulations are presented to demonstrate how the proposed strategies can help to reduce electricity costs by 19.28% and 14.27% with 30% and 80% state of charge (SOC) of the PEV respectively compared to the case where G2V operation only used along with the photovoltaic (PV) production, improve energy utilization by smoothing the energy consumption profile and satisfy the user’s needs by ensuring enough EV battery SOC for each planned trip. © 2023, The Author(s).

Autonomous robots combine skills to form increasingly complex behaviors, called missions. While skills are often programmed at a relatively low abstraction level, their coordination is architecturally separated and often expressed in higher-level languages or frameworks. State machines have been the go-to language to model behavior for decades, but recently, behavior trees have gained attention among roboticists. Originally designed to model autonomous actors in computer games, behavior trees offer an extensible tree-based representation of missions and are claimed to support modular design and code reuse. Although several implementations of behavior trees are in use, little is known about their usage and scope in the real world. How do concepts offered by behavior trees relate to traditional languages, such as state machines? How are concepts in behavior trees and state machines used in actual applications? This paper is a study of the key language concepts in behavior trees as realized in domain-specific languages (DSLs), internal and external DSLs offered as libraries, and their use in open-source robotic applications supported by the Robot Operating System (ROS). We analyze behavior-tree DSLs and compare them to the standard language for behavior models in robotics: state machines. We identify DSLs for both behavior-modeling languages, and we analyze five in-depth. We mine open-source repositories for robotic applications that use the analyzed DSLs and analyze their usage. We identify similarities between behavior trees and state machines in terms of language design and the concepts offered to accommodate the needs of the robotics domain. We observed that the usage of behavior-tree DSLs in open-source projects is increasing rapidly. We observed similar usage patterns at model structure and at code reuse in the behavior-tree and state-machine models within the mined open-source projects.
