Designing metrics for evaluating instance segmentation revolves around comprehensively considering object detection and segmentation accuracy. However, other important properties, such as sensitivity, continuity, and equality, are overlooked in the current study. In this paper, we reveal that most existing metrics have a limited resolution of segmentation quality. They are only conditionally sensitive to the change of masks or false predictions. For certain metrics, the score can change drastically in a narrow range which could provide a misleading indication of the quality gap between results. Therefore, we propose a new metric called sortedAP, which strictly decreases with both object- and pixel-level imperfections and has an uninterrupted penalization scale over the entire domain. Alongside acquiring specialized knowledge and accomplishing developmental tasks, athletic colleges require young athletes to also be active. We investigated the use of a smartphone application, ME-FULLNESS, as an unprecedented support method for female college students currently enrolled in athletic colleges. ME-FULLNESS is an application that infers one’s psychological state from their facial information and improves their psychological state with music, vibration, and images that match that psychological state. We conducted a psychological survey with purposively selected female university students (18 to 24 years) at the International Pacific University in Okayama, Japan, before and after one month of using ME-FULLNESS (N = 76) and a group of non-users (N = 25). The app-using group showed significant improvement in depressive symptoms (p = 0.002), anxiety symptoms (p = 0.000), stress (p = 0.000), insomnia (p = 0.002), severity of premenstrual syndrome (p = 0.000), and resilience scores (p = 0.000), while the non-app-using group showed improvement in anxiety (p = 0.009) and resilience scores (p = 0.000). This study suggests that using the ME-FULLNESS app may improve depression, stress, insomnia, and resilience among athletic female students, positively contributing to their college life and sports performance. © The Author(s) 2025.

This paper describes a Plastic Waste Hotspot Detection System which has been developed in an international collaborative research project to realize an “Environmental AI-Human Actions integration” with marine plastic waste reduction actions. In this project, various local conditions are obtained to the system to realize an environmentally resilient society. The nature conservation activities such as marine plastic waste collection and reduction actions are implemented based on these conditions. In the process of integration of Environmental AI and Human Actions, the effects of these activities and activists' contribution to environmental improvement and global-scale knowledge are accumulated, shared, analyzed, and visualized through global-scale analysis. This paper describes the Plastic Waste Hotspot Detection system as one of the systems that integrate AI systems and human actions. This paper examines the feasibility and effectiveness of the system through the fieldwork tests in Phuket, Thailand and Surabaya, Indonesia.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the world economy, and Malaysia is no exception. Due to the closure of businesses, the rate of unemployment has been recorded at an all-time high. The Malaysian Government through its agencies is assisting citizens through an online platform for incentives and an aid-giving platform. The current architecture of data sharing is using centralized, organization-oriented authentication and is not immutable for audit capability. In addition, the blockchain network is still a proof of concept in the digital government ecosystem. This paper studies the current aid data-sharing ecosystem and analyzes the potential of having a state government consortium blockchain framework that will be used in the Government Network Infrastructure for decentralized, transparent data sharing with audit capability. Several works involving Blockchain adoption based on domain, Blockchain consortium architecture and Government applications using blockchain are being presented. The need for a framework in implementing decentralized data sharing using consortium blockchain architecture for multi-agencies data sharing focusing on Malaysia Government Aid Management is discussed in this paper to provide the opportunity for the research domain. The findings in this paper will be used for future work on the requirement of a proposed government multi-layer consortium blockchain framework for data sharing in the Malaysian Government specifically for the Johore State Government ecosystem. © 2023 IEEE.

Indonesian people are mostly like spicy. Therefore, Chili becomes an ingredient in cooking that cannot be separated from Indonesian people. In certain months there is too much demand from the public and inversely proportional to the stock of chili. So, appreciate the chili prices to rise. In the heart of statistics, several methods can be used as forecasting as well as data series from univariate, bivariate and multivariate cases. The reason for choosing the method is following the analysis needs and available data. One of the popular methods in the multivariate case is Generalized Spacetime Autoregressive (GSTAR) the advantage of this method is that it can capture the characteristics of location-based data as well as time. For this reason, in this paper, we used chili prices data in 4 major cities in Java Province, Indonesia. Such as Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. As a result, GSTAR (21) I (1with inverse weighted be the best models because it fulfilled white noise and normal multivariate assumption with the lowest RMSE and MAPE. © 2018 IEEE.

Aberrant peptides presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules are targets for tumor eradication, as these peptides can be recognized as foreign by T cells. Protein synthesis in malignant cells is dysregulated, which may result in the generation and presentation of aberrant peptides that can be exploited for T cell-based therapies. To investigate the role of translational dysregulation in immunological tumor control, we disrupt translation fidelity by deleting tRNA wybutosine (yW)-synthesizing protein 2 (TYW2) in tumor cells and characterize the downstream impact on translation fidelity and immunogenicity using immunopeptidomics, genomics, and functional assays. These analyses reveal that TYW2 knockout (KO) cells generate immunogenic out-of-frame peptides. Furthermore, Tyw2 loss increases tumor immunogenicity and leads to anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) checkpoint blockade sensitivity in vivo. Importantly, reduced TYW2 expression is associated with increased response to checkpoint blockade in patients. Together, we demonstrate that defects in translation fidelity drive tumor immunogenicity and may be leveraged for cancer immunotherapy. © 2025 The Author(s)

Non-standard word errors in writing sometimes escape the attention of writers or editors due to several factors, including unintentional or limited time in editing. Non-standard word is one of the Indonesian spelling error. Therefore, the application for detecting non-standard words in writing, KEBI, was created to minimize the height of non-standard words in writing. In this study, KEBI was analyzed in terms of application implementation to five various language essay documents as student assignments for Indonesian language courses. There are three things that are analyzed, namely the interface page, processing time, and the level of accuracy of detection and correction using the precision and recall method (confusion matrix). The overall research method includes literature study, data collection, testing, measurement of display, time, and accuracy. Based on the results of the analysis, the interface page display shows good quality. The processing time required by KEBI to detect non-standard words is in the range of 0.02-0.06 seconds. Meanwhile, KEBI's non-standard word detection accuracy rate is 86%, while KEBI's non-standard word correction accuracy rate is 90%.

The grouping of the socio-economic level of new students at the time of registration at public universities is a problem faced by all state universities. Identifying the right group will have an impact on the students and the university. The quality of the results of a valid grouping will give a sense of fairness to the parents of students in paying tuition fees. On the other hand, the university also expects that the results of a valid grouping will contribute to optimal revenue. This study aims to evaluate the cluster structure of a single tuition fee at the State University of Surabaya. The existing cluster structure is compared with the results of grouping using nine clustering methods, namely K-Mean, Hierarchical, BIRCH, DBSCAN, Mini Batch K-Mean, Mean Shift, OPTICS, Spectral Clustering, and Mixture Gaussian. The proposed evaluation method is a combination of three evaluation concepts, namely internal validity (Silhouette-Index), external validity (Rand Index), and the percentage conformity value to the expected income factor (Revenue-Index). These three indicators are then calculated as the average value for each clustering method as Hybrid-Index. The highest Hybrid-Index is shown by the Mini Batch K-Mean algorithm, with an average value of 0.6420, so the Mini Batch K-Mean algorithm can be recommended as a method for grouping single tuition fees.

Simulation of information diffusion has recently attracted considerable interest from both academia and industry. One of the main reasons for this is the continuously expanding online world where sharing information is a 'one click' activity. This poses new research challenges related to explaining how the information spreads within and across a variety of online communities. The main goal of this study is to investigate how the information diffusion process can be simulated. The contribution of this paper is two - fold. First, we propose a new generic diffusion - based algorithm that is applicable in a wide range of scenarios. The algorithm is based on a social propagation mechanism, which embraces two most widely employed models: the independent cascade model and the linear threshold model. The second contribution of this research is a systematic empirical assessment of how proposed diffusion simulation strategies are associated with scope and speed of spread over a range of network structures and diffusion parameters.
