This paper aims to present a measurement module that is an ongoing development for the KruCode platform, which is a platform for teaching and learning programming-related subjects. Currently, the platform includes functions such as defining problems, assigning students assignments, and assessing source code and reports. The objective of this platform was to make teaching and learning more accessible for instructors and students. The measurement module will measure the complexity of the student source code for each problem. We use cyclomatic metrics and object oriented design metrics (C-K metrics) to measure student source codes. The question complexity reports support the instructor in deciding the coding questions, considering the difficulty level of coding questions well suited to students, and building the learning outcome of that course. This information may be utilized to establish assignments, adjust activities to be relevant skills for the class's learners, and assess the level of skills of students. © 2024 IEEE.

Programming is a fundamental aspect of engineering and science that requires both knowledge and skills in programming. It is generally accepted that the more learners practice programming, the better their skills are. The online learning platform KruCode has been specifically designed using the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) method for programming courses. It is utilized by students to practice their coding abilities online, while instructors employ it to manage tags, coding questions, assignments, and exams in their classes. When code is submitted by students, it is promptly evaluated by KruCode to verify the presence of syntax mistakes. Students' error messages can be displayed in the system, and their work can be immediately guided. This information was beneficial for beginner students to learn coding and debugging. Students will also see their programming results as covered by the given test cases. However, other features should be developed, such as a dashboard and problem suggestion function, and increase safety for exams. © 2023 IEEE.

Attention management in software development proves to be a highly relevant issue. It offers various ways of managing the user’s attention using visual perception of the work environment. Awareness of the workplace provides a user with work context which may positively affect the productivity and workflow of a project. However, the work context may also provide the user with arbitrary information. Thus, regulations of incoming workplace information are required throughout the user’s work cycle. Furthermore, previous research supports the proposed extensions devised according to the lacking parts in the existing project management system. Furthermore, to stabilize the extensions, results from an experiment conducted on the proof-of-concept designed according to the proposed parts. © 2024 IEEE.

Creating programming questions that are both meaningful and educationally relevant is a critical task in computer science education. This paper introduces a fine-tuned GPT4o-mini model (C2Q). It is designed to generate meaningful questions by leveraging semantic feature extraction and well- crafted prompts. The approach addresses the limitations of traditional generative models, offering a deeper understanding of programming code and producing questions that are precise, diverse, and relevant to a given code snippets. The proposed framework incorporates essential code elements, such as control structures and method attributes, to generate questions that align with programming concepts. Evaluation metrics used were BLEU, ROUGE-1, and ROUGE-L to evaluate the model's performance. The findings reveal that the model achieves better structural coherence and conceptual relevance while focusing on contextual understanding over exact term matching. This work highlights the potential of the proposed approach to advance teaching and assessment methods in computer science. © 2024 IEEE.

The hardware and software model for controlling the movement of actuators in the mechatronic complex based on a fuzzy method of recognizing the color label is presented in the article. The main task of this complex is to capture moving objects in real-time. Fixation of objects is carried out in two modes: manual and automatic. In manual mode, the grip is carried out by the operator. In automatic mode, a set of magnetic sensors is used for fixation, which monitors the location of the actuators of the mechatronic complex and a laser sensor or technical vision system that determines the location of the moving object. The main problem in the automatic mode is to determine the moment at which the axes of the moving object and the gripper are aligned. A fuzzy model for determining the time of the moment of alignment of two axes was developed in the article to solve this problem. Also, a fuzzy method of recognizing a color label based on the approach of area’s ratio is shown in the article. The novel contribution of a proposed method is the fuzzy segmentation scheme used for detecting the colored mark by image processing. A distinctive feature of a defuzzification model is the usage of a universal formula to find the area of geometric shapes. As a result, the time of defuzzification was reduced to 65 ns. It allows to use the proposed method in real-time systems, for example, in video processing systems with resolutions 1024 × 768 and 25 fps. The article presents a numerical simulation of the process of fixing a moving object, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed solution. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The aim of this review is to explore the relationship between the architecture of microservices and antisocial behavior. Microservice architecture is a software design approach that involves decomposing a system into small, independent services that can offer benefits such as flexibility and scalability. Expected result is to analyze dataset of statuses, which defines the length of time the status displays on the user’s device. Because people spend time on social networks at every opportunity, even for hours. When combined with the time-valued, we try to gain a deeper understanding of social networks and users behavior. They are forced into this behavior through the feedback loop mechanism of the neurotransmitter Dopamine. Supplier selection is a critical component of Supply Chain Management (SCM), as suppliers provide raw materials or services essential for supporting a company's operations. Traditional supplier selection methods often rely on subjective assessments to determine the weighting of criteria, which can lead to biases and suboptimal decision making. To address this issue, this study combines the Logarithmic Percentage Change of Weight (LOPCOW) method with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to enhance objectivity in the supplier selection process. The LOPCOW method is used to assign criterion weights objectively based on logarithmic percentage changes, which helps minimize subjectivity, These weights are then applied using the SAW method to evaluate and rank suppliers. The results of the study show that this combined approach is more reliable for selecting suppliers objectively and accurately. The study suggests integrating other Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods to further strengthen the results while recommending the inclusion of real-time data analytics to improve the model's adaptability to dynamic market conditions. The LOPCOW-SAW approach can be applied across various industries for more effective and efficient SCM supplier selection. © 2024 IEEE.

Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, have become popular for their flexibility and collaborative approach. However, the success of Scrum teams heavily depends on the dynamics among team members. This study explores the challenges related to Agile software development, specifically focusing on the influence of human skills on the Scrum team. While Scrum encompasses various well-defined aspects, it does not explicitly address personality traits. Consequently, this study seeks to explore how teams' performance is influenced by the human skills possessed by their members during the implementation of Agile methodologies. This study investigated eight teams of software engineering students engaged in software development projects by observing impacted team processes in each iteration. The results show that soft skills and J/P significantly influence team processes. However, their impact on the team's product varies across cycles. Additionally, soft skills interact with the Feeling (F)/ Thinking (T) and Judging (J)/Perceiving (P), affecting team processes and products. © 2023 IEEE.

A rise in blood sugar (glucose) levels above normal ranges is the major sign of diabetes. Diabetes develops when the body's ability to absorb glucose into cells for energy declines, resulting in an accumulation of excess sugar in the blood. Diabetes, if not well treated, can cause serious damage to many organs and tissues. One method to prevent or managing diabetes is to create tools for regularly monitoring blood sugar levels. This study introduces methods that use eight input variables: pregnancy, glucose, blood pressure, skin thickness, insulin, BMI, age, diabetes pedigree function, name, and gender, as well as one output variable, diabetes status. The use of these techniques generates a dataset for measuring the accuracy of diabetes status prediction. The Neural Networks algorithm achieves an accuracy rate of 79.65%, the SVM algorithm 83.69%, and the Random Forest algorithm 74.9%. © 2024 IEEE.

User contributions is an important part in software development, the pursuit of identifying effective means of user contributions in software development is a crucial area of interest for software companies and their development teams. Determining the most opportune moments, locations, and methods for such contributions presents a significant challenge for organizations, which necessitates the exploration of generic and proven solutions. Applying patterns, established and observed solutions may provide the answers to such challenges and similar ones. This paper offers insights into the practical implementation of seven newly discovered organizational patterns in a real-life environment.
