In light of this unmistakable exponential data expansion, visual media archiving must be rethought. Human generated meta-data might not be sufficient for efficient data retrieval. Object detection and object recognition enable the generation of computer-generated meta data that improve the storage and retrieval of data. We present a semi-automated approach for preserving video footage that combines object identification and ontologies. This significantly cuts down on search time, data scrubbing by providing only the relevant information making for more efficient queries. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The conventional Close circuit television(CCTV)cameras-based surveillance and control systems require human resource *** all the criminal activities take place using weapons mostly a handheld gun,revolver,pistol,swords ***,automatic weapons detection is a vital requirement now a *** current research is concerned about the real-time detection of weapons for the surveillance cameras with an implementation of weapon detection using Efficient–*** time datasets,from local surveillance department’s test sessions are used for model training and *** consist of local environment images and videos from different type and resolution cameras that minimize the *** research also contributes in the making of Efficient-Net that is experimented and results in a positive *** results are also been represented in graphs and in calculations for the representation of results during training and results after training are also shown to represent our research ***-Net algorithm gives better results than existing *** using Efficient-Net algorithms the accuracy achieved 98.12%when epochs increase as compared to other algorithms.

Offline Handwriting Signature Verification: A Transfer Learning and Feature Selection Approach

Handwritten signature verification poses a formidable challenge in biometrics and document authenticity. The objective is to ascertain the authenticity of a provided handwritten signature, distinguishing between genuine and forged ones. This issue has many applications in sectors such as finance, legal documentation, and security. Currently, the field of computer vision and machine learning has made significant progress in the domain of handwritten signature verification. The outcomes, however, may be enhanced depending on the acquired findings, the structure of the datasets, and the used models. Four stages make up our suggested strategy. First, we collected a large dataset of 12600 images from 420 distinct individuals, and each individual has 30 signatures of a certain kind (All authors' signatures are genuine). In the subsequent stage, the best features from each image were extracted using a deep learning model named MobileNetV2. During the feature selection step, three selectors—neighborhood component analysis (NCA), Chi2, and mutual_info (MI)—were used to pull out 200, 300, 400, and 500 features, giving a total of 12 feature vectors. Finally, 12 results have been obtained by applying machine learning techniques such as SVM with kernels (rbf, poly, and linear), KNN, DT, Linear Discriminant Analysis, and Naïve Bayes. Without employing feature selection techniques, our suggested offline signature verification achieved a classification accuracy of 91.3%, whereas using the NCA feature selection approach with just 300 features it achieved a classification accuracy of 97.7%. High classification accuracy was achieved using the designed and suggested model, which also has the benefit of being a self-organized framework. Consequently, using the optimum minimally chosen features, the proposed method could identify the best model performance and result validation prediction vectors. © 2024, CC BY.

Nowadays, it is difficult to determine the veracity of the information obtained. Communication takes place through websites, discussions, social networks, and the like. Using various anti-social behavior tips, such as fake news, their disseminates want to gain various benefits or convince the recipient of “their truth.” The theoretical part of the work is focused on different approaches to the detection of antisocial behavior. In the experimental part of this work, we will deal with the analysis of the statuses of opinion-forming dailies in the Slovak language, which we obtained from the social network Facebook. NLP message analysis is not accurate enough, and we create an algorithm that is better identifies POS tags.

Training Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) poses a challenging and critical problem in machine learning. Despite the effectiveness of gradient-based learning methods, such as Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), in training neural networks, they do have several limitations. For instance, they require differentiable activation functions, and cannot optimize a model based on several independent non-differentiable loss functions simultaneously;for example, the F1-score, which is used during testing, can be used during training when a gradient-free optimization algorithm is utilized. Furthermore, the training (i.e., optimization of weights) in any DNN can be possible with a small size of the training dataset. To address these concerns, we propose an efficient version of the gradient-free Coordinate Search (CS) algorithm, an instance of General Pattern Search (GPS) methods, for training (i.e., optimizing) neural networks. The proposed algorithm can be used with non-differentiable activation functions and tailored to multi-objective/multi-loss problems. Finding the optimal values for weights of ANNs is a large-scale optimization problem. Therefore instead of finding the optimal value for each variable, which is the common technique in classical CS, we accelerate optimization and convergence by bundling the variables (i.e., weights). In fact, this strategy is a form of dimension reduction for optimization problems. Based on the experimental results, the proposed method is comparable with the SGD algorithm, and in some cases, it outperforms the gradient-based approach. Particularly, in situations with insufficient labeled training data, the proposed CS method performs better. The performance plots demonstrate a high convergence rate, highlighting the capability of our suggested method to find a reasonable solution with fewer function calls. In large-scale projects operated in regulated environments, standard development processes are employed to meet strict compliance demands. Since such processes are usually complex, providing process users with access to their required process, which should be tailored to a project’s needs is a challenging task that requires proper tool support. In this paper, we present a process ecosystem in which software processes are provided as web-based services. We outline the general idea, describe the modeling approach, and we illustrate the concept’s realization using a proof-of-concept case based on a large software process line that is mandatory to use for IT projects in the German public sector. Brain damage resulting from stroke and traumatic brain injury is the primary cause of complicated disability and one of the major causes of mortality in most countries, burdening healthcare systems owing to the growth in the number of brain injury victims. Rehabilitation is required to deal with the brain damage. With fewer therapists available, it is very challenging to manage patients and even motivate them to participate actively in their rehabilitation. Patients have frequently complained that many traditional rehabilitation systems are monotonous and uninteresting. The study's objective is to propose a telerehabilitation gaming system framework that can serve as guidance for developing an affordable rehabilitation gaming system that can motivate and engage patients and increase rehabilitation effectiveness. The research methodology is based on synthesizing related research and currently available technologies. The proposed framework includes the therapist and patient attached with vital constructs: tailoring tools, instructional content, game characteristics, tailored games, and performance. It is an internet-based communication structure that connects the Rehabilitation Gaming System to the hospital and other care provider networks. The proposed framework is evaluated by a panel of five experts. The results reveal that all experts believe that the proposed framework can serve as a useful guide for creating gaming interventions that can boost the patient's motivation and engagement and increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation. © 2023 IEEE.

Automating the monitoring of the roads would mean safer roads for both car drivers and pedestrians. The objectives of the system were to build a real time surveillance system for intelligent roads of the future. The system should be able to detect lane lines, cars, pedestrians and other moving vehicles on the road. In case a car goes off its course, the system should report it as an accident. Relying on machine learning technology, a real time detection based neural network was constructed to be trained on picking up objects in any given scene like cars, buses, pedestrians, bikes and motor bikes. Also, an algorithm was designed to detect lane lines and highlight them on the screen using image processing techniques and edge detection. The system achieved its main required target which is being able to detect objects in almost real time. © 2021 ACM.

This paper presents an implementation of a feedback mechanism for a workflow management framework. A chatbot that uses natural language processing (NLP) is central to the proposed feedback mechanism. NLP is used to transform text-based plain language input, both human-written and machine-generated, into a form that the framework can use to generate a workflow for execution in an environment of interest. The example environment described here is containerized network management, in which the workflow management framework, using feedback, can detect anomalies and mitigate potential incidents.
