This paper introduces our method of the UML diagrams visualization in 3D space. It uses the layers for particular components and modules in class diagram, alternative and parallel scenarios in sequence and activity diagrams with modern combined frameworks. The herein presented approach contains also automatic generating of the object diagrams and final class diagram from the sequence diagrams of the use case scenarios. It applies force directed algorithm to create more convenient automated class diagram layout using semantics by adding weight factor in force calculation process. © 2015 ACM.

In this paper,a system supporting behavioral therapy for autistic children is *** system consists of sensors network,base station and a brooch indicating person's ernotional *** system can be used to measure values of physiological parameters that are associated with changes in the emotional *** the future,it can be useful to inform the autistic child and the therapist about the emotional state of the interlocutor objectively,on the basis of performed *** selected physiological parameters were chosen during the experiment which was designed and conducted by *** this experiment,a group of volunteers under con-trolld conditions was exposed to a stressful situation caused by the picture or *** each of the volunteers,a set of physiological parameters,was recorded,including:skin conductance,heart rate,peripheral temperature,respiration rate and *** bio statistical analysis allowved us to discern the proper plhysiological paraneters that are most associated to changes due to emotional state of a patient,such as:skin conductance,temperatures and res-piration *** allowed us to design electronic sensors network for supporting behavioral therapy for children with autism.

The objective of feature modeling is to foster software reuse by enabling to explicitly and abstractly express commonality and variability in the domain. Feature modeling alone is not sufficient to express all the aspects of the software being developed. Other models and, eventually, code is necessary. These software assets are being configured by the feature model based on the selection of variable features. However, selecting a feature is far from a naive component based approach where feature inclusion would simply mean including the corresponding component. More often than not, feature inclusion affects several places in models or code to be configured requiring their nontrivial adaptation. Feature inclusion recalls transformation and this is at heart of the approach to feature model driven generation of software artifacts proposed in this paper. Features are viewed as solution space transformations that may be executed during the generative process conducted by the feature model configuration.

What does it mean for one quantum process to be more disordered than another? Here we provide a precise answer to this question in terms of a quantum-mechanical generalization of majorization. The framework admits a complete description in terms of single-shot entropies, and provides a range of significant applications. These include applications to the comparison of quantum statistical models and quantum channels, to the resource theory of asymmetry, and to quantum thermodynamics. In particular, within quantum thermodynamics, we apply our results to provide the first complete set of necessary and sufficient conditions for arbitrary quantum state transformations under thermodynamic processes, and which rigorously accounts for quantum-mechanical properties, such as coherence. Our framework of generalized thermal processes extends thermal operations, and is based on natural physical principles, namely, energy conservation, the existence of equilibrium states, and the requirement that quantum coherence be accounted for thermodynamically. In the zero coherence case we recover thermo-majorization while in the asymptotic coherence regime we obtain a constraint that takes the form of a Page-Wootters clock condition. Smartphones became everyday “companions” of humans. Almost everyone has a smartphone in their pocket, or bag, and use it on daily basis. Modern smartphones are “loaded” with sensors, providing streams of, potentially useful, data. Simultaneously, staying fit, exercising, running, swimming, etc. became fashionable. In this “climate”, employers can try to incentivise their workers, for instance, to use bicycles to come to work. Here, one of interesting questions becomes: are workers actually using bicycles, as declared, or do they try to subvert the system and win prizes, while, for instance, using public transport. One of the ways to check this could be to use data from smartphone sensors to determine the mode of transportation that has been *** paper presents preliminary results of an attempt at using raw sensor data and deep learning techniques for transportation mode detection, in real-time, directly on smartphone. The work tries to balance sensor power consumption and computational requirements with prediction correctness and response time. In this context, results of application of recurrent neural networks, as well as more traditional approaches, to a set of actual mobility data, are presented. Furthermore, approaches that leverage domain knowledge, in order to make classifiers more reliable and requiring less processing power (and less energy), are considered.

Each device which a person interacts with has naturally restrictions. This also applies to mobile devices. A major limiting factor is the size of the active area of the display element. Solutions of that handicap often require user interaction. Increasing the size of the display unit increases the size of the device itself. The size-larger devices reduce comfort of their normal use. In this paper we present our experience in application implementation for mobile device. We have encountered some problems related to visualization restrictions. To exploit the technological potential of a mobile device we have implemented an application which had to improve motivational aspects by gamification.

Aspect-oriented programming enables to affect existing code without having to make changes to it. By this, changes remain modularized and as such are easily activated or deactivated with a high potential of direct reusability in other applications. However, aspect-oriented programming on mobile platforms is practically unexploited, despite the whole range of opportunities such as usage monitoring, power monitoring, altering sensor values, or altering applications. In this paper, we explore possibilities of using aspect-oriented programming in the AspectJ programming language and demonstrate how to alter the GPS sensor output, phone signals, and deal with the Context class as a gate to the Android services.

While performance is one of the most important attributes of computation intensive systems such as complex event processing, it is essential to success of mobile devices and embedded systems, in which providing seamless experience to end users is of uttermost importance. In this paper, we present a framework we designed to assess AspectJ performance both in desktop and mobile settings. We applied this framework to measure the performance of the current AspectJ version and to provide a comparison with its older versions. One of the important findings is that while in desktop settings vast aspect application does not generate significantly bigger performance overhead than their scarce application, in mobile devices it does, so it pays off to apply aspects rather to a small number of high time complexity methods than to a large number of low time complexity methods.

To be considered compelling an assurance case should address its potential deficits, possibly with the use of a confidence argument. Assurance argument and confidence argument should be clearly separated and consistent at the same time. We propose a way of their integration with the use of an element representing rationale for each argumentation strategy. The rationale integrates confidence argument for a given argumentation step and can be used to demonstrate strength of the argument. The approach is illustrated with a confidence argument development case study. The confidence argument has been created for defeaters identified with the use of a checklist. © 2015, Institution of engineering and Technology. All rights reserved.
