Atmospheric refractivity affects the propagation delay of low-frequency (LF) groundwave in the realistic ocean environment. In this paper, a parabolic equation (PE) model based on the ERA5 meteorological reanalysis dataset is applied to analyze the influences of inhomogeneous spatial distribution of global oceanic atmospheric refractivity on LF groundwave propagation delay. The global oceanic atmospheric refractivity is derived from the meteorological quantities given by the ERA5 reanalysis dataset. It is found that the global oceanic surface atmospheric refractivity varies systematically with latitude in the range of 290∼300 N-unit to 380∼400 N-unit, which in turn leads to the variation of LF groundwave propagation delay reaching hundredth nanosecond for 1000 km-long propagation path. © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of small UAV remote sensing technology and the gradual improvement of observation system, high-resolution remote sensing images become easy to obtain, and China has entered the era of application of high-resolution remote sensing images. Traditional image segmentation methods treat pixels as processing units, focusing solely on spectral information while neglecting the influence of other image features. This approach fails to meet the accuracy and efficiency requirements for practical applications in high-resolution remote sensing image segmentation. Representing a high-resolution remote sensing image with superpixels aligns better with human visual perception, reduces information redundancy, and decreases data processing volume. Therefore, superpixel-based segmentation methods for high-resolution remote sensing images have become an important research direction. This paper primarily investigates the fusion of superpixels in high-resolution remote sensing images, elaborating on the principles of the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm and explaining a proposed spatially constrained fuzzy clustering method that integrates spectral differences. Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the experimental results are conducted to validate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed algorithm. ©2024 IEEE.

With the rapid spread of high-power density equipment, the vapor chamber must adapt to more applicable environments and exhibit a better heat transfer performance. The copper mesh and powder are sintered in this work to make a composite wick vapor chamber (CW-VC). Six sections of copper wire are cut and sintered together with the wick as the inner support column of the CW-VC. The effects of filling ratio and inclination on the heat transfer performance of the vapor chamber are investigated. The experimental results showed that the maximum thermal power of the CW-VC is 23.29 W at the optimal liquid filling ratio of 80% and the lowest thermal resistance is 0.33 °C/W. Below the liquid filling ratio of 60%, when the inclination angle of the CW-VC increases, its thermal resistance increases. At filling ratios of 70%, 80%, and 90%, the inclination angle of 30° can reduce the thermal resistance of the CW-VC. It implies that the inclination angle of the CW-VC can be increased appropriately to reduce the thermal resistance when the filling ratio is high. However, when the liquid filling ratio is low, increasing the inclination angle of the CW-VC will make the liquid film of the evaporator thinner and dry out earlier and its thermal resistance will increase. © 2023 Author(s).

When it comes to the transport sector, fossil fuel consumption is one of the major pressing concerns in today's globe. Due to the usage of the huge amount of fuel consumption in recent years that creates pollution. To reduce pollution, various technologies are introduced in vehicles to reduce fuel consumption like fuel cells, photovoltaic cell, regenerative braking, dynamo, super-capacitor, batteries, etc. Therefore, environmentally friendly and new energy technologies are needed to overcome fossil fuel consumption in the transport sector. The aim of this research to design an energy system is to charge the vehicle battery when the internal oil of the shock absorber is heated during vehicle bumping on roads. This research contains the thermopile installed in the shock absorber for the vehicle suspension system, to generate and save power in the battery with the help of power electronics (Ultra Low Power DC-DC Converter) using Proteous Software. The simulation results suggested that thermopile with Ultra Low Power DC-DC Converter has the potential to harvest low power as 0-20mV and boosted up to 13.7-13.9V and 4-6mA current is generated. This is further regulated to 12V for storing in the battery and enhances the vehicle battery efficiency. © 2022 IEEE.

Hierarchical control of mixed traffic flow for mobility and energy economy promotion at signalized intersection

The emergence of vehicle-to-infrastructure and vehicle-to-vehicle wireless communication offers alternative perspectives to improve traffic mobility in urban road traffic network, but most of the existing research mainly focuses on fully automated scenarios or assume that all vehicles have communication capabilities. To compensate the research shortcomings, this paper considers a mixed traffic flow consisting of various vehicles with different levels of intelligence, and proposes a hierarchical optimal control strategy for isolated signalized intersections in rural roads to maximize traffic mobility and vehicle energy efficiency by controlling only a few connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs). In the upper layer, the mixed traffic flow near the intersection is dynamically divided into multiple "1+m" mixed platoons composed of one leading CAV and m following vehicles. In the lower layer, an optimal control framework for the mixed platoon system is established to optimize the velocity trajectory of the leading CAV, with the goal of enhancing energy efficiency, driving comfort and traffic mobility of the entire platoon. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy is suitable for any random mixed traffic scenarios and provides significant benefits in terms of traffic mobility and energy efficiency in almost all scenarios. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

The optimization of power consumption of manufacturing lines (ML) is a relevant topic in the context of increasing electricity prices. This paper presents the topic of optimizing the energy consumption of a production system, through optimization technique based on the multi-objective PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm. The novelty of the approach lies in the development of an Advanced PSO algorithm (APSO), which brings superior results in optimizing energy consumption. The research was carried out in successive stages, starting with data collection, and ending with the implementation of the results on the production line, everything being subordinated to the criterion of optimizing energy consumption. APSO's advanced optimization technique was implemented on a flexible manufacturing line (FML) composed of five linearly interconnected workstations. The APSO optimization algorithm, following implementation and testing on FML, provides a solution for controlling the conveyor speeds of each station that guarantees in the overall approach to the process a minimum energy consumption, but also a minimum execution time of the algorithm. © 2024, Politechnica university of Bucharest. Target tracking has a wide range of applications in intelligent transportation,real‐time monitoring,human‐computer interaction and other ***,in the tracking process,the target is prone to deformation,occlusion,loss,scale variation,background clutter,illumination variation,etc.,which bring great challenges to realize accurate and real‐time *** based on Siamese networks promotes the application of deep learning in the field of target tracking,ensuring both accuracy and real‐time ***,due to its offline training,it is difficult to deal with the fast motion,serious occlusion,loss and deformation of the target during ***,it is very helpful to improve the performance of the Siamese networks by learning new features of the target quickly and updating the target position in time *** broad learning system(BLS)has a simple network structure,high learning efficiency,and strong feature learning *** at the problems of Siamese networks and the characteristics of BLS,a target tracking method based on BLS is *** method combines offline training with fast online learning of new features,which not only adopts the powerful feature representation ability of deep learning,but also skillfully uses the BLS for re‐learning and re‐*** broad re‐learning information is used for re‐detection when the target tracking appears serious occlusion and so on,so as to change the selection of the Siamese networks search area,solve the problem that the search range cannot meet the fast motion of the target,and improve the *** results show that the proposed method achieves good results on three challenging datasets and improves the performance of the basic algorithm in difficult scenarios.

In addressing the detection challenge of small targets with low echo intensity and high noise intensity in underwater environments with active sonar and random reverberation, we propose a target detection method that integrates wavelet packet decomposition with an improved convolutional neural network. This approach employs interframe accumulation processing to suppress and remove strong echoes and clutter interference, such as static reverberation and random burst noise, from the sonar background. Leveraging the characteristics of sonar echo decomposition through wavelet packet analysis, we process simulated underwater acoustic signals from four categories, including divers, underwater mines, metal plates, and oceanic noise interference, after interframe accumulation noise reduction. We then statistically analyze the energy distribution of echoes in various frequency bands based on wavelet packet decomposition. We extract the energy features from different frequency bands to enable the improved CNN to detect targets even at low SNRs. The results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of this algorithm.

A remarkable feature of extended objects (EOs), compared to the traditional point target, is that an EO normally produces more than one measurement, resulting in challenges for finding the associations among objects and measurements. In this paper, we are interested in tracking multiple EOs with multiple sensors by resorting to the loopy sum-product algorithm (LSPA). The marginal posterior of an EO state is approximately by belief, which is obtained by executing the LSPA on a suitably devised factor graph. The existence probability and belief of each EO are explicitly estimated, where the belief is modeled by mixture gamma Gaussian inverse Wishart (GGIW) distribution, so as to jointly estimate the measurement rate (MR), centroid state and extension. Simulation experiments verify the performance of the proposed method.
