Avoid Suspicious Route of Blackhole Nodes in MANET’s:Using A Cooperative Trapping

Mobile Ad hoc Network(MANET)is decentralized wireless network and can communicate without existing infrastructure in many *** is vulnerable to various attacks that affect its performance such as blackhole *** attacker,inject fault routing information to persuade the source node to select the path with malicious node as the shortest *** eliminate malicious nodes from launching any collaborative attack.A cooperative Trapping Approach(CTA)was proposed based on modifying Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector(AODV)routing protocol and trapping the malicious nodes by responding to the trap request *** approach aims to eliminate and rule out both single and collaborative malicious blackhole nodes from any *** approach realizes a backward tracking mechanism to perform the elimination *** proposed algorithm(CTA)was executed using NS-2 network *** performance metrics that has been considered to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm such as throughput,end to end delay,packet delivery ratio,and consuming *** experimental results have shown the performance metrics of the proposed approach outperformed other state of at algorithms.

When it comes to smart healthcare business systems,network-based intrusion detection systems are crucial for protecting the system and its networks from malicious network *** protect IoMT devices and networks in healthcare and medical settings,our proposed model serves as a powerful tool for monitoring IoMT *** study presents a robust methodology for intrusion detection in Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)environments,integrating data augmentation,feature selection,and ensemble learning to effectively handle IoMT data *** rigorous preprocessing,including feature extraction,correlation removal,and Recursive Feature Elimi-nation(RFE),selected features are standardized and reshaped for deep learning *** using the BAT algorithm enhances dataset *** deep learning models,Transformer-based neural networks,self-attention Deep Convolutional Neural Networks(DCNNs),and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)networks,are trained to capture diverse data *** predictions form a meta-feature set for a subsequent meta-learner,which combines model *** classifiers validate meta-learner features for broad algorithm *** comprehensive method demonstrates high accuracy and robustness in IoMT intrusion *** were conducted using two datasets:the publicly available WUSTL-EHMS-2020 dataset,which contains two distinct categories,and the CICIoMT2024 dataset,encompassing sixteen *** results showcase the method’s exceptional performance,achieving optimal scores of 100%on the WUSTL-EHMS-2020 dataset and 99%on the CICIoMT2024.

The application of deep learning techniques in the medical field,specifically for Atrial Fibrillation(AFib)detection through Electrocardiogram(ECG)signals,has witnessed significant *** and timely diagnosis increases the patient’s chances of ***,issues like overfitting and inconsistent accuracy across datasets remain *** a quest to address these challenges,a study presents two prominent deep learning architectures,ResNet-50 and DenseNet-121,to evaluate their effectiveness in AFib *** aim was to create a robust detection mechanism that consistently performs *** such as loss,accuracy,precision,sensitivity,and Area Under the Curve(AUC)were utilized for *** findings revealed that ResNet-50 surpassed DenseNet-121 in all evaluated *** demonstrated lower loss rate 0.0315 and 0.0305 superior accuracy of 98.77%and 98.88%,precision of 98.78%and 98.89%and sensitivity of 98.76%and 98.86%for training and validation,hinting at its advanced capability for AFib *** insights offer a substantial contribution to the existing literature on deep learning applications for AFib detection from ECG *** comparative performance data assists future researchers in selecting suitable deep-learning architectures for AFib ***,the outcomes of this study are anticipated to stimulate the development of more advanced and efficient ECG-based AFib detection methodologies,for more accurate and early detection of AFib,thereby fostering improved patient care and outcomes.

Technology is changing how students learn in the 21st century significantly. Integrating mobile devices in teaching, learning, and assessment processes has emerged as an important strategy for improving teaching methodologies and students' learning. However, adopting mobile devices presents several challenges, including understanding the students' performance, impact on time, and efficiency in the assessment process. This study explores this area with an empirical study of using mobile devices and compares the results to those using traditional desktop computers. In the educational environment, we investigated students' effective use while interacting with mobile and desktop versions of the Second Introductory programming summative assessment. Multinational/multi-institutional research involved a comparative analysis between two student groups undertaking identical tasks on mobile phones and desktop computers. Our results suggest that the students' results are not affected significantly by using the mobile version of the assessment application. These results highlight the usability of mobile devices as a flexible and effective tool for various educational applications, strengthening their role in the modern learning environment. © 2024 IEEE.

Self-driving and semi-self-driving cars play an important role in our daily *** effectiveness of these cars is based heavily on the use of their surrounding areas to collect sensitive and vital ***,external infrastructures also play significant roles in the transmission and reception of control data,cooperative awareness messages,and caution *** this case,roadside units are considered one of themost important communication *** distribution of these infrastructures will overburden the spread of self-driving vehicles in terms of cost,bandwidth,connectivity,and radio coverage *** this paper,a new distributed roadside unit is proposed to enhance the performance and connectivity of these ***,this approach is based primarily on k-means to find the optimal location of each roadside *** addition,this approach supports dynamicmobility with a long period of connectivity for each ***,this system can adapt to various locations(e.g.,highways,rural areas,urban environments).The simulation results of the proposed system are reflected in its efficiency and ***,the system can achieve a high connectivity rate with a low error rate while reducing costs.

Swarm intelligence is a class of nature-inspired metaheuristic algorithms, that is specifically derived from biological systems in nature with an emphasis on their social interactions. These algorithms have been primarily developed to solve complex combinatorial optimization problems and are extremely popular among researchers in metaheuristic algorithms. This is evident from the numerous published scientific papers describing algorithms inspired by biological systems, ranging from insects such as ants and bees to the largest animals on the planet like whales. All these algorithms share some common concepts and relationships that can be explicitly identified, named, and formalized. These shared concepts and relationships can be organized and represented through the construction of an ontology. The goal of this paper is to present a formal ontology that standardizes vocabulary, as well as a set of rules enabling precise communication and reasoning about these algorithms. Ultimately, this will improve our understanding, analysis, research processes, and utilization of these computational approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Tomato leaf diseases significantly impact crop production,necessitating early detection for sustainable *** Learning(DL)has recently shown excellent results in identifying and classifying tomato leaf ***,current DL methods often require substantial computational resources,hindering their application on resource-constrained *** propose the Deep Tomato Detection Network(DTomatoDNet),a lightweight DL-based framework comprising 19 learnable layers for efficient tomato leaf disease classification to overcome *** Convn kernels used in the proposed(DTomatoDNet)framework is 1×1,which reduces the number of parameters and helps in more detailed and descriptive feature extraction for *** proposed DTomatoDNet model is trained from scratch to determine the classification success rate.10,000 tomato leaf images(1000 images per class)from the publicly accessible dataset,covering one healthy category and nine disease categories,are utilized in training the proposed DTomatoDNet *** specifically,we classified tomato leaf images into Target Spot(TS),Early Blight(EB),Late Blight(LB),Bacterial Spot(BS),Leaf Mold(LM),Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus(YLCV),Septoria Leaf Spot(SLS),Spider Mites(SM),Tomato Mosaic Virus(MV),and Tomato Healthy(H).The proposed DTomatoDNet approach obtains a classification accuracy of 99.34%,demonstrating excellent accuracy in differentiating between tomato *** model could be used on mobile platforms because it is lightweight and designed with fewer *** farmers can utilize the proposed DTomatoDNet methodology to detect disease more quickly and easily once it has been integrated into mobile platforms by developing a mobile application.

Pulmonary nodules are small, round, or oval-shaped growths on the lungs. They can be benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). The size of a nodule can range from a few millimeters to a few centimeters in diameter. Nodules may be found during a chest X-ray or other imaging test for an unrelated health problem. In the proposed methodology pulmonary nodules can be classified into three stages. Firstly, a 2D histogram thresholding technique is used to identify volume segmentation. An ant colony optimization algorithm is used to determine the optimal threshold value. Secondly, geometrical features such as lines, arcs, extended arcs, and ellipses are used to detect oval shapes. Thirdly, Histogram Oriented Surface Normal Vector (HOSNV) feature descriptors can be used to identify nodules of different sizes and shapes by using a scaled and rotation-invariant texture description. Smart nodule classification was performed with the XGBoost classifier. The results are tested and validated using the Lung Image Consortium Database (LICD). The proposed method has a sensitivity of 98.49% for nodules sized 3–30 mm.

In this paper, a generalized form of chaotic map based on nonlinear function with parabolic shape is introduced. The study involves the investigation of chaotic dynamics in terms of apparent in time-domain, and both qualitatively and quantitatively examination using bifurcation diagram and Lyapunov exponents. Furthermore, the practical application of these parabolic chaotic maps is showcased in a pseudorandom number generator, with its performance evaluated using statistical tests from the NIST SP800-22 test suite. © 2024 Global IT Research Institute - GIRI.

For the teaching of agile methods in an IT undergraduate course we developed a gamified blended learning course. We created the course with gamification elements such as videos, quizzes, badges, and points in the learning management system Moodle. In this paper, we first share our experiences with distributed practice in this course and how gamification supported our flipped classroom approach. We also briefly present results of a survey study that investigated intrinsic motivation with an earlier version of the course and that revealed mixed results, i.e., an increase of intrinsic motivation for some factors, but not for all factors. The evaluation results and observations motivated a future research agenda aimed at further improving and continuously evaluating the impact of gamification on intrinsic motivation to ultimately promote distributed practice as well as sustained learning combined with fun for the students. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
