This study proposes a novel nature-inspired meta-heuristic optimizer based on the Reptile Search Algorithm combed with Salp Swarm Algorithm for image segmentation using gray-scale multi-level thresholding,called *** proposed method introduces a better search space to find the optimal solution at each ***,we proposed RSA-SSA to avoid the searching problem in the same area and determine the optimal multi-level *** obtained solutions by the proposed method are represented using the image *** proposed RSA-SSA employed Otsu’s variance class function to get the best threshold values at each *** performance measure for the proposed method is valid by detecting fitness function,structural similarity index,peak signal-to-noise ratio,and Friedman ranking *** benchmark images of COVID-19 validate the performance of the proposed *** results showed that the proposed RSA-SSA outperformed other metaheuristics optimization algorithms published in the literature.

The integration of artificial intelligence algorithms for defect detection and shape recognition in the automotive industry is rooted in machine learning principles. Neural networks play a pivotal role in this domain, renowned for their effectiveness in tasks such as pattern recognition and data analysis. These systems are indispensable within the automotive industry and beyond, crucial for interpreting datasets and enabling machines to identify objects and defects in images or videos based on their geometrical and structural properties. Techniques for defect analysis, including convolutional neural network (CNN) and fuzzy min-max classifier (FMMC) methods, are employed. In the context of quality control, where assessing shape is paramount, image processing techniques such as zoning, Loci features, profile projection, Freeman chain code, and histogram of oriented gradients (HOG) are utilized. These methods facilitate the analysis of physical shapes and surface characteristics, ensuring that automotive parts satisfy stringent quality standards. Experimental results underscore the efficacy of CNN combined with FMMC, demonstrating superior accuracy of 97% compared to traditional image analysis methods. This approach highlights the capability of CNN and FMMC to enhance the precision and reliability of shape recognition through advanced image analysis, thereby contributing to improved quality control measures in the automotive industry. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

This paper presents a series of approaches aimed at enhancing the performance of Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) by utilizing extracted semantic information from a Semantic Role Labeling (SRL) model. We propose a novel end-to-end Semantic Role Labeling model that effectively captures most of the structured semantic information within the Transformer hidden state. We believe that this end-to-end model is well-suited for our newly proposed models that incorporate semantic information. We evaluate the proposed models in two languages, English and Czech, employing ELECTRA-small models. Our combined models improve ABSA performance in both languages. Moreover, we achieved new stateof-the-art results on the Czech ABSA. © 2023 Incoma Ltd. All rights reserved.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SMOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SMOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOMTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a rapidly growing field with the potential to revolutionize many industries, including healthcare. Integrating AI into healthcare has the potential to transform patient care and disease management, leading to improved outcomes and reduced costs. Our research explores the various applications of AI in healthcare, including predictive analytics, medical image analysis, drug discovery, and clinical decision making, caregiver or virtual assistant via AI chatbot. It also explores the challenges and limitations associated with the use of AI in healthcare, such as ethical concerns, data privacy issues, and algorithmic bias. Finally, this research paper concludes by highlighting the potential of AI to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency in healthcare delivery and ultimately transform the future of healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.

The recent development of digitization has significantly influenced various sectors of the economy, and the Industrial Craft Sector is no exception. The transition to digital technologies and processes is inevitable and holds the potential for increasing efficiency and creating competitive advantages. This research used the Design Science methodology to develop a Digital Mindset Competence Model. This model comprises eight dimensions specifically tailored to the requirements and challenges of the Industrial Craft Sector. These dimensions aim to promote and strengthen the digital mindset among professionals in the Industrial Craft Sector. To ensure the validity and relevance of this model, experts from the Industrial Craft Sector were involved in a qualitative methodology. The combination of scientific methodology and practical experience ensures a comprehensive perspective and guarantees the applicability of the developed model. The results of this research underscore the importance of digital transformation in the Industrial Craft Sector and the necessity of a digital mindset. The developed Digital Mindset Competence Model provides a targeted approach to promoting digital competencies in the Industrial Craft Sector and guides future developments in this area. It becomes evident that an appropriate digital mindset is essential to optimally leverage the potentials of digitization in the Industrial Craft Sector and successfully navigate continuous change. This scholarly contribution contributes to raising awareness of the significance of a digital mindset in the Industrial Craft Sector.
