Air pollution is a significant problem in modern societies since it has a serious impact on human health and the *** Matter(PM_(2.5))is a type of air pollution that contains of interrupted elements with a diameter less than or equal to 2.5 *** risk assessment and epidemiological investigations,a better knowledge of the spatiotemporal variation of PM_(2.5) concentration in a constant space-time area is *** spatiotemporal interpolation approaches commonly relying on robust presumption by limiting interpolation algorithms to those with explicit and basic mathematical expression,ignoring a plethora of hidden but crucial manipulating *** advanced deep learning approaches have been proposed to forecast Particulate Matter(PM_(2.5)).Recurrent neural network(RNN)is one of the popular deep learning architectures which is widely employed in PM_(2.5) concentration *** this research,we proposed a Two-State Gated Recurrent Unit(TS-GRU)for monitoring and estimating the PM_(2.5) concentration forecasting *** proposed algorithm is capable of considering both spatial and temporal hidden affecting elements *** tested our model using data from daily PM_(2.5) dimensions taken in the contactual southeast area of the United States in *** the studies,three evaluation matrices were utilized to compare the overall performance of each algorithm:Mean Absolute Error(MAE),Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),and Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE).The experimental results revealed that our proposed TS-GRU model outperformed compared to the other deep learning approaches in terms of forecasting performance.

computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) are experts responsible for managing cybersecurity incidents. To identify cyber threats, they consider a wide range of sources from official vulnerability databases to public sources such as Twitter, which has an active cybersecurity community. Due to the high number of topic-related tweets per day, credibility assessment represents an immense effort in the daily work of CERTs. Although approaches for automated credibility assessment have already been developed in previous research, these mainly take peripheral cues into account, although users with domain expertise and a high level of personal involvement also assess content-related cues. We therefore conducted interviews with CERT members to reevaluate known indicators for automated credibility assessment from an expert perspective. In doing so, we contribute valuable insights to the development of automated approaches for credibility assessment targeting users with high domain knowledge and personal involvement. © 2022 17th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik, WI 2022. The trend of digital information transformation has become a topic of *** data are threatening;thus,protecting such data from attackers is considered an essential ***,a new methodology for data concealing has been suggested by researchers called coverless *** steganography can be accomplished either by building an image database to match its image subblocks with the secret message to obtain the stego image or by generating an *** paper proposes a coverless image steganography system based on pure image generation using secret message bits with a capacity higher than the other traditional *** system uses the secret message to generate the stego image in the form of one of the Intelligence Quotient(IQ)games,the ***,a full grid is generated with several specific rows and columns determined from the number of bits of the secret ***,these bits are fed to the full grid to form the maze game stego ***,the generated maze game stego image is sent to the *** experimental results,using the Bit Error Rate(BER),were conducted,and confirmed the strength of this system represented by a high capacity,perfect performance,robustness,and stronger hiding system compared with existing coverless steganography systems.

Energy management strategies are crucial to efficiently scheduling appliances and preventing peak generation due to increased energy demand. It is essential to manage the demand and supply of energy based on the consumer’s consumption patterns using various heuristic optimization techniques. Additionally, the end-user is more concerned with minimizing electricity costs and reducing peak-to-average ratios (PARs). This work proposes an arithmetic Harris hawks optimization (AHHO) as a new approach for improving the Harris hawks algorithm to optimize residential demand response (DR) load management in a smart grid. Our method employs arithmetic and lightweight flight operators based on the Lévy flight distribution to generate diverse design solutions and improve the HHO’s exploration capabilities. We consider 15 smart appliances and categorize them based on how much energy they use, computing the electricity price using real-time pricing (RTP) and critical peak pricing (CPP). While maintaining user satisfaction within operational and power limits, the objective is to decrease energy costs and PAR. We evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed AHHO approach against nine cutting-edge algorithms using both RTP and CPP schemes. The findings demonstrate that our suggested approach performs better than the other algorithms because it achieved cost savings of 42.10% and 30% under RTP and CPP schemes, respectively. Meanwhile, it also reduced PAR by 55.17% and 50% under RTP and CPP schemes, respectively. © The Author(s) 2023.

Children's physical, mental and emotional development depends heavily on sleep, with age-specific sleep needs fluctuating. Malnutrition may result from eating too little, absorbing nutrients poorly, being unwell, living in poverty or not knowing enough about nutrition. Food allergies and iron insufficiency are two examples of illnesses whose onsets might differ depending on environmental exposures and genetics. By providing proper diet, getting medical attention when necessary and encouraging healthy behaviors, parents play a crucial role in supporting their children's health. For children to grow and develop properly, they need meals high in fruits, vegetables, milk, protein, calcium, iron and fiber. Key advantages of a balanced diet include aiding bone formation, improving heart health and encouraging regular bowel motions and digestion. In general, children's general health and wellness depend on caregivers being aware of their dietary requirements and giving them the proper attention. The findings of the research imply that machine learning algorithms may be useful in understanding and predicting the prevalence of malnutrition in children. Furthermore, these algorithms could provide perceptive data that might help politicians create effective policies. In this research, we make use of five different machine learning algorithms. With a decision tree, the accuracy is 0.92%, followed by svm which provides 0.91%, KNN, which provides 0.84%, GBM classifier, which provides 0.79% and random forest, which provides 0.65%. © 2025 IEEE.

information and communication technologies (ICT) have gained immense importance in the world of work. Knowledge workers, however, do not only benefit from ICT use. One drawback is the so-called ICT availability demand which is associated with a constant pressure to be online, including after-work time. This demand can have severe consequences on the individual such as impaired wellbeing, harmed job performance and satisfaction. This paper scrutinizes the extent to which digital detox, a periodic disconnection from technology, can support knowledge workers to prevent and cope with ICT availability demands. A two-week online experiment was conducted to measure the effects of digital detox in the context of knowledge work. The results indicate a significant decrease in ICT availability demands after conducting digital detox. Moreover, this paper derives theoretical and practical implications about how digital detox can be understood and applied in organizational contexts. © 2022 17th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik, WI 2022. Modern healthcare systems demand comprehensive information systems but face obstacles during adoption. Organizational and structural complexity, especially decentralized systems, challenges the integrated management and sharing of data across information systems. Interoperability is critical to address these issues effectively in heterogeneous and distributed environments. However, different medical terminology hinders interoperability within health information systems. To address this, a systematic literature review examined various medical terminology standards for national interoperability. From 790 articles, 12 were selected according to PRISMA guidelines with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Standard health terminology is critical to achieving interoperability, and many countries have adopted it, although some have required adaptation to accommodate local contexts. Data models, governance, and maintenance of standards are equally important in achieving national interoperability. In addition, standardized health terminology promotes consistency and uniformity in terminology, which is beneficial for decision-making by stakeholders in the health system. © 2023 IEEE.

In an era where Intelligent Decision Support systems (IDSS) are integral to managing the vast data from Internet of Everything (IoE) systems, this study introduces IDSDeep-CCD, a novel IDSS approach for detecting concrete cracks, a critical issue in civil infrastructure maintenance. Traditional visual inspection methods for crack detection are time-consuming and error-prone. To address this, IDSDeep-CCD employs deep learning, utilizing an open-source dataset of concrete crack images for enhanced accuracy. The system's two-stage approach, featuring feature extraction via pre-trained models and a fully connected network for classification, significantly outperforms existing methods. Our results demonstrate a remarkable 99.9% accuracy rate in crack detection without data augmentation, marking a notable advancement in automatic detection technology. This breakthrough offers practical benefits for the industry by enabling more precise and efficient identification of concrete cracks, paving the way for timely and accurate remedial actions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
