Region of Interest-based Tamper Detection and Lossless Recovery Watermarking Scheme on MRI and X-ray Medical Images

The advancement of the technology has introduced many applications that will ease human daily process and improve the way people connect to each other. One of the applications that has been introduced to the user and vastly improve our life is the healthcare system. Health care system allows the medical practitioner to aware of the patient's previous health condition and documents their current. It also allows the medical practitioner to communicate with each other or get some advice from their peers and colleague even if they are far from each other physically. To ensure the authenticity of an image when it is transfer through the health care system, watermarking has been implemented. Through the process of watermarking the images, the authenticity of the images can be ensured. In this study, a ROI-based tamper detection and recovery watermarking scheme has been introduced. The proposed scheme has been tested out on the MRI and XA images. The PSNR value for MRI is 49.09 for the sequential mode and 49.07 in parallel mode. On the other hand, PSNR for XA images is 52.68 in the sequential mode and 52.68 in the parallel mode.

The range of memory specifications of location aware shopping assistance poses difficulties for the developer (in terms of increased time and effort) when it comes to developing a resampling algorithm for mobile devices. Thus, a new resampling algorithm is required with a flexible capacity that would cater for a range of computing device memory devices specifications. This paper develops a memory based resampling in standard particle filter. The memory resampling is capable to read memory specifications of mobile devices before determines the most suitable resampling functions. The authors aim to extend this work in future by implementing their proposed method in a number of different emerging applications (in example, medical applications and real time locator systems). © Springer Science+Business Media Singapore 2018.

Nuclear spins were among the first physical platforms to be considered for quantum information processing[1, 2], because of their exceptional quantum coherence[3] and atomic-scale footprint. However, their full potential for quantum computing has not yet been realized, due to the lack of methods to link nuclear qubits within a scalable device combined with multi-qubit operations with sufficient fidelity to sustain fault-tolerant quantum computation. Here we demonstrate universal quantum logic operations using a pair of ion-implanted 31P donor nuclei in a silicon nanoelectronic device. A nuclear two-qubit controlled-Z gate is obtained by imparting a geometric phase to a shared electron spin[4], and used to prepare entangled Bell states with fidelities up to 94.2(2.7)%. The quantum operations are precisely characterised using gate set tomography (GST)[5], yielding one-qubit average gate fidelities up to 99.95(2)%, two-qubit average gate fidelity of 99.37(11)% and two-qubit preparation/measurement fidelities of 98.95(4)%. These three metrics indicate that nuclear spins in silicon are approaching the performance demanded in fault-tolerant quantum processors [6]. We then demonstrate entanglement between the two nuclei and the shared electron by producing a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger three-qubit state with 92.5(1.0)% fidelity. Since electron spin qubits in semiconductors can be further coupled to other electrons[7, 8, 9] or physically shuttled across different locations[10, 11], these results establish a viable route for scalable quantum information processing using donor nuclear and electron spins. Credit risk plays a major role in the banking industry business. Banks' main activities involve granting loan, credit card, investment, mortgage, and others. Credit card has been one of the most booming financial services by banks over the past years. However, with the growing number of credit card users, banks have been facing an escalating credit card default rate. As such data analytics can provide solutions to tackle the current phenomenon and management credit risks. This paper provides a performance evaluation of credit card default prediction. Thus, logistic regression, rpart decision tree, and random forest are used to test the variable in predicting credit default and random forest proved to have the higher accuracy and area under the curve. This result shows that random forest best describe which factors should be considered with an accuracy of 82 % and an Area under Curve of 77 % when assessing the credit risk of credit card customers. © 2018 IEEE.

By exploiting ultrafast and irregular time series generated by lasers with delayed feedback, we have previously demonstrated a scalable algorithm to solve multi-armed bandit (MAB) problems utilizing the time-division multiplexing of laser chaos time series. Although the algorithm detects the arm with the highest reward expectation, the correct recognition of the order of arms in terms of reward expectations is not achievable. Here, we present an algorithm where the degree of exploration is adaptively controlled based on confidence intervals that represent the estimation accuracy of reward expectations. We have demonstrated numerically that our approach did improve arm order recognition accuracy significantly, along with reduced dependence on reward environments, and the total reward is almost maintained compared with conventional MAB methods. This study applies to sectors where the order information is critical, such as efficient allocation of resources in information and communications technology. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. The Wide Field-of-view Cherenkov Telescope Array (WFCTA) of Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) is designed to perform nearly calorimetric measurements of extensive air showers induced by cosmic rays with energies between 1013 eV - 1018 eV. In order to achieve an end-to-end calibration of WFCTA and investigate properties of the atmospheric aerosol, five laser systems have been operated at LHAASO, including 3 nitrogen and 2 Nd:YAG laser devices. This work presents an overview of the laser signals received by the telescope and the monitoring of geometric information related to nitrogen laser events. Additionally, it introduces the simulation method for the LHAASO-WFCTA laser calibration system. Through prolonged and stable operation, a substantial amount of data has been accumulated, requiring further data analysis for the calibration of the telescope’s absolute gain and measurement of aerosol extinction coefficients. © Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons.

Business Intelligence is a technology for collecting, transforming, and presenting data for analysis as a tool for supporting decision making. Business Intelligence using Data Warehouse, Multidimensional data, and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) has proven to be useful for obtaining information and knowledge relevant to the business. Nowadays the development of the internet with Web 2.0 model is increasing the availability of data over the internet. Linked Open Data (LOD), Open Data, and Open Government Data is constantly growing, producing a large amount of valuable data in the form of semi-structured data, flexible and machine-readable. Data sharing on agricultural production is one of the requirements for the best of analysis of agricultural production, but most of the data is still in the format of 2/3-stars open data and does not yet have spatial data that facilitates analysis based on spatial dimensions. The emerging open data concept makes the data warehouse more dynamic and can accommodate external data. Spatiotemporal support in open data also enables a more sophisticated analysis of data with spatial queries. This research develops tools to integrate agricultural data originating from the Village and Rural Area information Systems (SIDeKa) that has open distributed data, a service-oriented approach, and spatiotemporal data. This paper also describes the design of business intelligence and multidimensional data for analysis and decision-making tools that enable spatiotemporal and non-spatial based analysis. This paper also highlights the opportunities for scaling and sustaining the initiative.

Future quantum computers are likely to be expensive and affordable outright by few, motivating client/server models for outsourced computation. However, the applications for quantum computing will often involve sensitive data, and the client would like to keep her data secret, both from eavesdroppers and the server itself. Homomorphic encryption is an approach for encrypted, outsourced quantum computation, where the client's data remains secret, even during execution of the computation. We present a scheme for the homomorphic encryption of arbitrary quantum states of light with no more than a fixed number of photons, under the evolution of both passive and adaptive linear optics, the latter of which is universal for quantum computation. The scheme uses random coherent displacements in phase-space to obfuscate client data. In the limit of large coherent displacements, the protocol exhibits asymptotically perfect information-theoretic secrecy. The experimental requirements are modest, and easily implementable using present-day technology.

In the context of matrix displacement decomposition, Bozzo and Di Fiore introduced the so-called τΕ, algebra, a generalization of the more known τ algebra originally proposed by Bini and Capovani. We study the properties of eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the generator Tn,Ε, of the τΕ, algebra. In particular, we derive the asymptotics for the outliers of Tn,Ε, and the associated eigenvectors;we obtain equations for the eigenvalues of Tn,Ε,, which provide also the eigenvectors of Tn,Ε,;and we compute the full eigendecomposition of Tn,Ε, in the specific case Ε = 1.
