Data collected from mobile phones have the potential knowledge to provide with important behavior patterns of individuals. In the current research, there is relatively few commercial software or application systems to fully meet the requirements of effectively mining these mobility patterns. In this paper, we firstly introduce two basic mobility concepts of stop and trajectory to support mobile phone data mining applications. We then present framework of individual mobility pattern mining based on mobile phone location information. Some approach and algorithms are also proposed to discover four basic types of pattern, such as stay pattern, frequent pattern, association pattern, and movement prediction. We use real mobile phone data to perform functions for discovering individual behavior patterns and demonstrate effectiveness of our framework. Copyright 2011 ACM.

Nowadays we are facing the daily information overload. It is thus difficult to get exactly the information we need. It often happens that while reading, we find a word we do not understand and we would need an explanation or some additional information about this word. For this purpose annotations in the Web environment are created and attached to such words. In this paper we propose a method for an automatic extension of the content available on the Web by adding annotations to selected terms (keywords) in the text. The method is designed to be able to insert annotations into the text written in Slovak with a potential to be language independent. Annotations themselves are obtained through publicly available services providing information retrieval. We adapt created annotations taking into account implicit feedback from users in form of click through data. We evaluate the proposed method in the environment of an educational web-based system.

Internet of Car, resulting from the Internet of Things, is a key point for the forthcoming smart city. In this article, GPS technology, 3G wireless technology and cloud-processing technology are employed to construct a cloud-processing network platform based on the Internet of Car. By this platform, positions and velocity of the running cars, information of traffic flow from fixed monitoring points and transportation videos are combined to be a virtual traffic flow data platform, which is a parallel system with real traffic flow and is able to supply basic data for analysis and decision of intelligent transportation system.
