Learning Management System (LMS) is software that has been developed for the administration, documentation, tracking, and reporting the educational resources. Assignment Box Alert (ABA) is a type of LMS which has been developed to manage the student in assignment submission. Before the development of ABA, the submission assignments from the students to lecturer have been done manually either through the hardcopy by printing material or softcopy by using the compact disc. The manual system consumes lot of time, besides quite easily being damaged or misplace. In this project, the development of ABA using the Remote Method Invocation has able to manage the assignment submission efficient and effectively. Recommender Systems are information systems that attempt to recommend items of interest to particular users based on their explicit and implicit preferences. Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) aims at assisting the decision maker in the decision making process, or giving the decision maker a recommendation, concerning a set of actions, alternatives, items etc. Thus, despite their differences, Recommender Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making share the same objective which is supporting the decision making process and reducing information overload. In this paper we propose a novel hybrid Multi-Criteria Trust-enhanced CF (MC-TeCF) approach. The proposed MC-TeCF approach combines the MC user-based CF and the MC user-based Trust filtering approaches to alleviate the standard Single-Criteria user-based CF limitations. Empirical results demonstrate the significance and effectiveness of the proposed MC-TeCF approach in terms of improving accuracy, as well as in dealing with very sparse data sets or cold start users compared with the standard Single-Criteria user-based CF approach.

As modern software systems operate in a highly dynamic context, they have to adapt their behaviour in response to changes in their operational environment or/and requirements. Triggering adaptation depends on detecting quality of service (QoS) violations by comparing observed QoS values to predefined thresholds. These threshold-based adaptation approaches result in late adaptations as they wait until violations have occurred. This may lead to undesired consequences such as late response to critical events. In this paper we introduce a statistical approach CREQA - Control Charts for the Runtime Evaluation of QoS Attributes. This approach estimates at runtime capability of a system, and then it monitors and provides early detection of any changes in QoS values allowing timely intervention in order to prevent undesired consequences. We validated our approach using a series of experiments and response time datasets from real world web services.

In this paper, a stereoscopic vision based region-of-interest (ROI) classification and the corresponding multiview video coding algorithm is proposed for three-dimensional television (3DTV), which takes advantage of the bottom-up statical visual attention, combined with motion and depth information. Then the regions received more attentions are allocated more bits, while those with less attentions are allocated less bits, so as to save bitrate by using human visual redundancy. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the coding efficiency effectively. Compared with JMVM 7.0, the proposed algorithm can reduce about 18%~34% bitrate when quantization parameter (QP) is 22, and the SSIMs between the images reconstructed by the proposed algorithm and JMVM 7.0 are about 99%, which means that the quality of the reconstructed image is almost not decreased.

With the development of three dimensional media resources, the corresponding intellectual property protection problem also occurs. In this paper, a blind stereoscopic image watermarking algorithm based on the relationship modulation is proposed. Firstly, the original stereoscopic images are divided into non-overlapping blocks respectively, and the polarity of these blocks in left and right images are defined. Secondly, the watermark is embedded by modulating the relationship between watermark and the polarity of the divided blocks. When the binary watermark is "1", the polarity of the corresponding image block is changed in order to make that the polarity of left image block is the same as the right one. On the contrary, the polarity of left image block is set to be not the same as the right one. The binary watermark is extracted by judging polarity which is consistent or not from the watermarked images without the original images. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is robust against some general image processing operations.

Due to the huge amount of mobile three dimensional television (3DTV) video data, efficient compression technologies have been proposed by using H.264 standard to reduce the relation of video. However, the video stream is quite sensitive due to the limited network bandwidth. Thus, the efficient error concealment techniques are indispensable to ensure the excellent quality for Mobile 3DTV. In this paper, based on the four video coding structures for stereo video, multiview video, color video plus depth sequence, and scalable video, the associated error concealment methods are studied and analyzed, finally future research hotspots and directions of error concealment for Mobile 3DTV are put forward.
