The reduced model of mini unmanned helicopter in hover is proposed in this paper. A specific analysis for the dynamic characteristics of mini unmanned helicopter is given.. Based on the analysed results, we carry on a very thorough trim computing process under the condition that the mini unmanned helicopter stays in hover. We can use the 6-DOF rigid body equations of motion to establish a full state nonlinear equation for mini unmanned helicopter. Further, by taking a small disturbance linearization method, we can deduce a small disturbance linear differential equation of motion for the mini unmanned helicopter of constant motion. We believe this model means a lot to autonomous hover control.

Applying ideas from manufacturing to software development is an age-old solution to significantly improve software productivity. However, there is reluctance to this idea despite several attempts in the past four decades. In this paper, we present some of the key reasons for this reluctance and the context which enables to overcome this reluctance. We present an interesting case study in the domain of eLearning Systems to illustrate that domain context plays a crucial role in setting up a software manufacturing facility. Orthogonal moment functions have long been used in image analysis. This paper proposes a novel approach based on discrete orthogonal Tchebichef Moment for efficient image compression. The method incorporates simplified mathematical framework techniques using matrices, as well as a block-wise reconstruction technique to eliminate possible occurrences of numerical instabilities at higher moment orders. The comparison between Tchebichef Moment compression and JPEG compression has been done. The results show significant advantages for Tchebichef Moment in terms of its image quality and compression rate. Tchebichef moment provides a more compact support to the image via sub-block reconstruction for compression. Tchebichef Moment Compression has clear potential to perform better for broader domain on real digital images and graphically generated images.
